Just wondering... Did any of you burn down 50 Cent´s house?

Probably just another over-leveraged homedebtor looking to get out from under an unsaleable debt-trap... The timing is kinda odd though, eh, even if it´s not the Cribs crib...

50 CENT'S LONG ISLAND HOME BURNS DOWN

Burnin' down the house - Mainstream media FINALLY picking up on the arson/foreclosure thing

HP'ers have been talking about this one for years.

Well, that's one way to get rid of the unwanted inventory.

You'll see cars on fire too (especially realtor-owned Lexus's and homedebtor-owned Hummers)

Note to desperate homedebtors - before you torch your debt-trap, you need to come up with a plausible cover story. Better yet, have your REALTOR do it for you - they'll do anything for money.

FORTUNE: Will foreclosures spark an arson boom? - As homeowners get more desperate, the insurance industry is bracing for an increase in arson.

Faced with foreclosure on her Russellville, Indiana home, Christina Snyder allegedly concocted the kind of plan that now has insurance executives on edge.

According to the county prosecutor, the 31-year-old Snyder allegedly offered to pay a neighbor $5,000 to help her burn down her house and make it look like a botched rape attempt - all in order to claim $80,000 in insurance money. Snyder wanted the neighbor to bind her hands in duct tape, write "whore" on her shirt, and then help her escape once the blaze was set, the prosecutor says.

We should have thought of this one sooner. Forget burning down the house - watch desperate homedebtors and unemployed REIC torch their cars now

Falling behind on that toxic mortgage and massive auto lease (like a lot of folks in Scottsdale)? Ex-mortgage broker or realtor with no work? What to do? Hell, just torch your car! This $90k Mercedes ain't looking too good. But why is a $90k Mercedes parked in an apartment lot in the first place I'd have to ask... Ah, ya gotta love the end of a massive credit bubble. It all falls apart now.

Thanks to dirtyscottsdale for this gem, and for all the $30,000 millionaire lampoonings you'd ever want in one place

The vehicle in question used to be a Mercedes-Benz G-Class; aka a $90,000 Jeep Liberty.

My complex is full of $30k Milli’s and this happened. Apparently I am not the only one who has connected the dots since Scottsdale PD won’t let anyone move it until they are done with their investigation.

As a service to us all, please spread the word that any d-bag feeling overwhelmed by the 30k Milli lifestyle who wants to torch their car for insurance $$$ should do so way out in the desert and report it stolen.

A HousingPANIC Public Service Announcement: Desperate Homedebtors, put down the matches and just walk away! Foreclosure yes, arson no!

Well, one way we can get rid of these millions of unwanted, not-needed, toxic-loan or investor-owned homes is to just burn 'em down, one by one. And trust me, that's happening all over America. But come on people! Wise up! Even if you burn the damn thing down you won't be any better off. Just walk away.

Whenever you see the words "suspicious house fire", just follow the money. It's not too suspicious as to why it got torched. Something to do with a homedebtor being over his head.
But as they say today, you make your bed, you sleep in it, until it's foreclosed on, or you burn it down.

Kent County Deputies have arrested the homeowner for the September 1st fire at 6825 Deer Cove Drive.

Cheryl Marie Christman, 38, was arrested and is being lodged in the Kent County Jail for intentionally setting fire to her home. Fire investigators believe that Christman was attempting to collect insurance money because the home was going to be foreclosed four days later.

Christman was arraigned this afternoon for the arson charges. Bail was set at $20,000. Her preliminary court date is set for Oct. 1st at 2 p.m.
