This reminds me of the Divorce Suicide Bomber of New York. A retired doctor in New York was going through a divorce and the ex was about to get the home worth millions. But the ex-huspand had a plan. In the basement, he did something to the natural gas line to add a "self-destruct feature" and used it. Just as he opened the last valve, he emailed the ex saying you won't get the house, and sure enough.... KABOOM!!!
But the ex got the last laugh. The empty lot was worth more with the house blown up than with it standing!
