Ron Paul's new book - "The Revolution - A Manifesto" drops on April 30th

Not a lot of information on what he's got to say, except this blurb from his campaign:

"In "Revolution: A Manifesto," Dr. Paul pulls back the benevolent mask of the state and explains how big government is eroding our freedoms, but also offers solutions about how Americans can restore liberty while offering guidance to grassroots activists about how they can advance the political movement his candidacy inspired."

I won't be able to get it over here for awhile, but I hope he drops some "oh, crap, did he really say that!?" bombs.

Damn, I miss him. Maybe the Libertarian or Constitutional party will draft him?

I ordered it a few months ago, and Amazon shipped it 2 days ago.

It is required reading for the entire family.

Love him.

He may be about as bright as Scooby Doo with his isolationist stuff but still, I like the guy on almost all other counts.

Anything that helps to wake up the stupid sheeple to the erosion of freedom that's happening is good.

Anything.

Send a copy to George Bushco. You can leave all the pages blank after the cover page because he stated he doesn't read books only newspapers...

Just for laughs, send a copy to that golem Greedspan. He could learn a few things to help him defend himself from his legacy of shame and incompetence.

CAlling these failures Monkeys is doing a dis service to Monkeys...

Ron Paul is quite gentlemanly in his speaking and writing most of the time, but he does say it like it is.

I for one will be sure to read his book.

You can read the first 6 pages on the Amazon site. I've already ordered my copy!!

Thanks for the info Keith. I just ordered a copy.

If only the entire world would simply agree with Ron Paul. Then everything would be honky-dory.

WHY are the sheeple so stupid that they can't simply see the writing on the freaking WALL??

People should be alarmed- VERY alarmed at the fact that our country is being looted and plundered in front of our eyes.

Hopefully, this book, and the media coverage it gleans, will raise the roof before it is too late. I really do think we will have a revolution on our hands before long.

You're an idiot Russ Dogg. You obviously know nothing about Ron Paul. Why don't you read his damn book and then attack what he's saying in a logical manner. Where the hell do you get the idea that he's like Hitler? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

And frank@scottsdale, Ron Paul is not a freakin isolationist dumbass! That's your corporate media propaganda right spinning non-intervention into isolationism. There's a very big difference between those two terms dumbo!!!

Sheeesh!! The misconceptions just blow me away. Obviously people don't bother to do their own research or own thinking.

Both Ron Paul and Ralph Nader are outstanding examples of intelligent leadership. Unfortunately, the "good old USA" isn't ready for honesty or leadership in politics. If you can't be "bought", no one is interested. Just look at the polls year after year. There hasn't been a conscientious, quality candidate since Reagan. I'm so ashamed, I don't even vote any more. It just does not matter.

Are you kidding Frank? Isolationism is the best thing about RP. How else will we ever pay off the national debt, and subsequently reduce taxes?

The only politicians I respect are those who were against the unnecessary invasion of Iraq and are currently against the housing price fix. RP is on this very short list, along with a handful of other Republicans.

This should be an interesting book to read. He's had experience both as a dissident within a major party and as a 3rd party canidate. I'd like to know what course he plans to take in the future, and why.

I notice the same people who don't "get" Ron Paul also don't "get" Monty Python. Clearly, not my kind of people.

Ron Paul is an isolationist. The fact that he would not have invaded Iraq is a good thing, the fact that he probably would not have gone to war against Germany in WWII is disturbing. There has to be some balance.

He also hasn't rejected the numerous donations from white supremacists that he has received. Judging by some of the comments here, I'm guessing he was glad to have your money.

Jesse Ventura is a better option than Ron Paul.

Groan.

The parade of morons never ceases does it? I'm tired of trying to explain the difference between isolationism and military intervention or even bother to bring up the fact that only Congress has the power to declare war. What's the point of explaining to the sheeple anymore?

Jesse Ventura. Ooookay!

Don't get me wrong. I like Jesse Ventura as a person but to compare him to Ron Paul is pretty f*cking astounding to me. But then this is America where we worship the bible, brawn, boobs and beer over brains.

Anon 5:23,

Did you happen to know that FDR ran his re-election in 1940 on the promise that he would keep the US out of the "European War"? That was a full year after Hitler invaded Poland, and Britain+France declared war on him . . . and that was also 5 months after France was defeated and occupied by Germany! Think about that, FDR promising to keep the US out of the War! as that was what the people of the United States wanted. Of course, FDR reneged on the promise as soon as he was elected, just like what he did to his campaign promise to undo Hoover's New Deal when he ran in 1932.

No, W was not the first president to promise small goovernment domesticly and internationally, yet doing exactly the opposite on both accounts after being elected. That's why Recessions get turned into Depressions; and how previously prosperous peaceful people get turned into angry and hungry mobs itching for war and predation upon other human beings.
