Yes. Yes they did. Along with the mortgage brokers, appraisers, realtors, builders and the bank's managers too. To the tune of hundreds and hundreds of billions if not trillions.

So true Keith ,Here is a story from my hometown in the S/E USA...My former neighbor was "self-employed" trying to flip real estate & selling insurance (what else). We sold at the top of the bubble to move closer into town because of our job/school situation. I noticed his home for sale at a hyper-inflated price of $175,000 more than I sold for just a year earlier. Home went into foreclosure and I later learned by another neighbor he had borrowed $200,000+ on a second mortgage thus the crazy asking price. Bottom line is that he robbed the bank...Do you think they will ever get that cash now that he has bankrupt? He knew what he was doing...the perfect crime.

i was thinking that it might be a good idea to invite some realtwhores to the hp conference in las vegas later on this year. we could act like we want to hear them and listen intentively to what they say and then proceed to get them drunker than skunks ,and then invite them to a special room we have set up and beat the holy crap out of every one of the sons of bitches....:)
