HousingPANIC Quote of the Day

This one's a beauty. Nice to see the REIC turn on each other. Finally.

(thanks a51 for the link)

"The one thing I can tell about you Realtors is that you're all liars"

-Joseph Anfuso, president of Florsheim Homes

Anfuso told agents during a Wednesday real estate conference at the University of San Diego that they need to stop inflating or hiding sales numbers and swallow a hard dose of reality on their cash flow if they expect to remain in business as sales continue to plummet.

Probably it would be more fair to say all of you (with too few exceptions), are liars.

perhaps being a realtor is a job that will vanish for the foreseeable future. since mcdonalds, is doing so well dishing up their junk food, perhaps there shall be some openings for these re agents at mcdonalds, flipping burgers and frying up fries and talking on the intercom.

Probably it would be fair to say 90% of Americano is immoral, ignorant, obese and a threat to the Earth.

Wow, realtors really screwed themselves. I doubt they'll ever have any credibility or be taken seriously again.

Especially as the NAR further destroys their credibility a bit more each month with their "reduced forecast" b.s.

Too late. F u. I pray for the financial ruin of housebuilders and real estate agents everywhere.

Burn baby burn.

I agree that they are truly indeed LIARS!

Maybe for HPers. Not the general population.

I have a friend who is hell bent on losing money by buying a house. Every time I tell him not to do it he comes back with "Yeah but Michelle said...". Michelle is a realtor he knows and still trusts as an "expert" on all matters pertaining to real estate.

You have to remember most people do not read blogs. They get their news from the MSM. The MSM still says now is a great time to buy. The MSM still quotes the NAR as an impartial source.

Which is why there are still as I type millions of people out there who want to buy real estate thinking NOW IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY.

Do you think the ex-Realtor working the counter at MacDonalds will expect a 6% commission for selling a .99 cent double cheeseburger?

Wait a minute! What does this "Michelle" look like?...

Did your friend mention if she researched it?

If he sells 1000 burgers a day (thats about 2 a minute over an 8hr day, unlikely but still) @6% whats that work out to about $60 a day?

I think they'd be worth every penny!!

yes i agree, and that leaves a very dangerous 10 percent that are not all the things you say. and so we wait until it is time to do what needs to be done.

well one thing is for sure. the realtors that go to work there will not have any problem figuring out what is what in the drink machines and at the cash registers since they put pictures on the various options instead of instructions.

all realtors should be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail.

Real Estate Agent is an obsolete profession. With the internet market place, there is no reason they even need to get involved anymore. They skim 6% or 7% off of your sale price for doing (almost) nothing! Escrow companies handle all of the paperwork and legal stuff. I think the problem is that there is no good competition yet for the Multiple Listing Service (MLS).
