There's a mini Ron Paul Money Bomb today. Give if you can. And here's one of my favorite clips from the GOP YouTube debate

I don't think Mr. Paul realizes that it's our Christian duty to bring our way of life to those oil monkeys in the middle east.

McCain's career is toast. Old liar fart.

Bible Thumper -

You're kidding, right?

If the Christian way is to look down on non-Christians and call them "oil monkeys," you set a bad example for the world. You should be ashamed of yourself.

In case you didn't notice, the neo-con approach allows foreigners to own more and more of everything here. The neo-cons and the democrats don't care about you. They just use religion to get more votes. Wake up!

NEW YORK, Nov 29 (Reuters) - A high-profile U.S. prosecutor who once led a fraud investigation into an Abu Dhabi-owned bank criticized a $7.5 billion deal between Citigroup Inc and the Gulf Arab emirate in a Wall Street Journal editorial on Thursday.
"It's a sad day for American financial markets when you've got to turn to Abu Dhabi to get bailed out," Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau was quoted as saying in an editorial written by the Journal's staff.

I'm no great fan of McCain but holy shit Ronnie, you don't bitch slap a sitting US Senator like that. A sitting US Senator who spent 5 years in a POW camp. Have some fucking respect. I think he has just a little more understanding on what military men and women think than you.

This clip shows how a) Ron Paul is not fit to be dog catcher let alone president and b) how utterly boorish his band of followers are.

I can only imagine Dr. Wacko as president negotiating with Putin or Kim Jong Il acting like that. My god what a nightmare.

That was brutal how McCain completely derailed the question he was posed, deflected it into a slam on Ron Paul and then when Ron Paul responds to the criticism Anderson F-ing Cooper starts interrupting Paul just as he's he trying to conclude.

Just brutal, the short-shrift that Paul is getting from the MSM.

As someone else noted on another thread, they directed like 2 questions at Paul and they were both meant to discredit him. NONE of the other candidates had to answer a question that began with "You and I both know you have no chance of receiving the Republican nomination". Just brutal.

Yeah, Ron Paul is a non-interventionist, not an isolationist. You know what the difference is?

An isolationist would not have sent troops to fight the Nazis.

A non-interventionist would not have sent troops to fight the Nazis, but would have sold them Zyklon B under an open trade policy.

@ Anon 10:44 -- I think McCain will move up as Romney and Rudy cancel each other out. Both are well on their way to self-destruction.

@ anon 11:10 -- actually, he's better than many candidates, and the only one who's ever put his butt where his mouth is.

@ anon 11:20 -- I agree, the neo-cons are the source of nearly all our troubles (darn carpetbaggers)

@ all HP'ers. -- bubble states now account for 78% of the electoral votes necessary to win. Whoever takes ownership of this issue will take the election

first gulf war ok. the objective was clear...liberate kuwait.

second gulf war...we broke it and we are buying it.

am i the only person that sees an absolute black and white difference between these two foreign policies?

i would love to ask ron paul if he sees a difference. i bet he does.

McCain is a scumbag who dropped bombs on rice-farmers. He deserved torture. He also tried to ban the UFC. What a short, crippled creep.

How are Saddam Hussein and Iraq equivalent to the Hitler and the Nazis and/or Imperial Japanese surprise attacks?

In Ron Paul's world we should all sit in a circle and sing cumbaya. A 6 year old child can see the dangers posed in the world, yet this idio can't.

You notice how McCain said the Vietnamese weren't going to 'follow us home' and just wanted to build their 'worker's paradise'

WELL THAN WHY WERE YOU OVER THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE? TOO STUPID AND TRUSTING OF GOVERNMENT THEN, AND STILL TOO STUPID NOW.

McCain also lies when he says 'government changed us'. No, just you and most of your friends who should all resign out of courtesy after apologizing to Ron Paul who DID NOT CHANGE AND SUDDENLY SEE THE BIG GOVERNMENT CESSPOOL AS A HOT TUB.

In the neocon's world we should all sit in a circle and sing cumbaya as the government spies on our communications, searches our homes and businesses without warrant, monitors our financial records, creates secret cia prisons, establishes camps and tribunals, transfers congressional authority to 'the decider', starts preemptive wars, and prints dollars without limit. A 6 year old child can see the dangers posed in the world.

I agree that there are dangers in the world, and that it is important for us to help the world as much as we can. But before we do that, we must first secure the freedom and economy that allows us to help others around the world.

If the US doesn’t start paying attention to the economic issues that are obvious to all regular readers of this blog, then we won’t have the money or the strength to be able to help anyone, including ourselves.

Perot tried to warn us about the direction we were going in. He was laughed off the world stage. In the end, he was right, and NAFTA has done more harm than good.

Instead, we elect a “compassionate conservative” who doesn’t appear to understand the definition of either word.

Instead we now have a wide range of non-choices; candidates who won’t (or can’t) answer the important questions of the day.

Many people seem to think that the wealth of the US (and the US itself) is a resource, manna from heaven that somehow magically exists outside of the law of cause and effect.

It doesn’t. Just as spending more than you earn will eventually lead to personal bankruptcy, the decisions we make as a nation will have long-term effects that all the wishing in the world won’t change.

let's listen to our troops since we rarely see them on the news:

The troops tell us that our defense is actually weaker because of the Iraq invasion. We run them ragged, wasting our money on private companies like Blackwater. Ron Paul's marque & reprisal would save lives and money with less collateral loss of life.

I'm not made of money, dammit.

I gave on Guy Fawkes Day and I'll give for the Tea Party, but how many of these frickin' money bombs are we going to have?

This was an open debate and McCain asked for a kick in the nuts with the turds that were falling out of his mouth. McCain should know better having been a POW in another disastrous war that US soldiers lives shouldn't be wasted on a war that we were lied into. A war that has NOTHING to do with islamo-fascist terrorism. A war that has NOTHING to do with WMDs or Saddam. This is a war that has EVERYTHING to do with oil, war profiteering and Israel. It's straight up BS and the majority of Americans have had enough of this shit!!!

You pro-war morons need to grow up and start paying attention to the REAL COST in human lives and the REAL COST to the economy for what outcome? How can a war with no clearly defined goal ever be won? McCain is lying through his teeth when he says "Let us win". There's nothing to win and we need to understand that the US military is building massive PERMANENT bases in Iraq now.

You people sit there on your fat asses and say "Support the troops". Supporting the troops is keeping them out of wars that do nothing for national security.

Ron Paul is not completely anti-war, all he is saying is that war should be declared by Congress which is the lawful procedure as defined by the Constitution. Ron Paul questions the need for US military bases all around the world.

An isolationist would not have sent troops to fight the Nazis.

A non-interventionist would not have sent troops to fight the Nazis, but would have sold them Zyklon B under an open trade policy.

You've got to be kidding me right? George Bush's grand-daddy was a pro-Nazi, banker that helped finance Hitler. Read up on Prescott Bush and the Business Plot. If anybody has anything in common with Nazism it's Georgy boy not a non-interventionist foreign policy - that's ridiculous.

So are you saying we should invade all muslim nations because a handful of terrorists (mainly from Saudi Arabia) attacked the US?

Do you think US intervention in the Middle East for the last 50+ years has made the US more secure? Or has it just made Israel and Big Oil more secure?

I'm surprized they didn't limit RP to just one question.

"...and, to conclude this evening's debate, this question is directed to Dr. Paul - So, have you seen any UFOs?"

And yet under all the pressure Ron Paul just keeps knocking them out of the park. The man is amazing.

Donated another $50 today. Holding the big money for the 16th. We will break all records on that day.

Smedley Butler

(Major General in the U.S. Marine Corps and, at the time of his death, the most decorated Marine in U.S. history.)

“War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses.

I believe in adequate defense at the coastline and nothing else. If a nation comes over here to fight, then we'll fight. The trouble with America is that when the dollar only earns 6 percent over here, then it gets restless and goes overseas to get 100 percent. Then the flag follows the dollar and the soldiers follow the flag.

I wouldn't go to war again as I have done to protect some lousy investment of the bankers. There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket."

Plenty of American companies made loads of dirty money skirting the law and trading with the Nazis. 'IBM and the Holocaust' by Edwin Black, is a fascinating book detailing how IBM formed foreign subsidiaries to continue to supply Hitler with their tabulating machines. The CEO of IBM even accepted a medal from Hitler in honor of IBMs continued support of the Nazis.

McCain obviously played too much football with out a helmet.

who funded Hitler.

Mcain is clueless beyond belief if he really thinks the troops want to be shot at for no good reason.

I thought we learned in VietNam that you dont go to somebdoies house to tell them how to live.

they have a tendency to get pissed off.

Keith thanks for posting this, and showing the strength that Ron Paul has under amazing adversity... and also reminding us just how sad, shameful and warmongering that McCain is. Ron Paul is the only honest GOP candidate... and one with true vision... everyone else in the GOP lineup is simply pathetic.

Thanks to everyone who commented on McCain, Rudy and others... it was very educational.

I was also happy to see Robert Greenwald's links... that guy is seriously doing good work and giving this country the sorely needed wake-up call it needs.
