I'm outta here - off to Italy for a few days. Post here and let me know what I missed for when I get back

This bubble sitter is off to Florence and the Cinque Terre for a few days - back Monday night. Post tinyurl article links and highlights here, let me know if Lawrence Yun shoots his mouth off, and check out those HP archives for a good laugh.

I might stop at an internet cafe now and then, or I might not...

Ciao

Make sure to act as the Ugly American as a test.

It's time to gauge our reception in other locales for the inevitable ship sinking. Got to have someplace to flee to.

How can you afford such frequent trips to Europe unless of course you are tapping into your Home Equity.

Welcome to the blog newbie

I rent for a fraction of the cost of owning

I live in europe

And I think anyone who taps into their home equity is a blazing fool

Hope that helps

Keith...can you start an informal report on the housing prices and the rents in the places that you visit? Don't spend too much time...just whatever local paper they have. I'll even do the online currency conversion for you! Don't forget to check out some former Soviet States also.

I think that you could also focus on Seattle more as it's so "special" here. ;o)

Head further south to Greece when you get the chance Keith. Your always welcome here.

Report out of Seattle is that housing market is starting to hurt, while the shills at the local media are claiming that condos are now the "hot thing" and keeping the market up.

Yahh, like Condos haven't been going up in price for years now, but the MSM is looking for any desperate chance it can get to shill for the real estate market to protect their advertising revenue.

Every Weekend, the Seattle Times has full real estate sections filled with condo advertisements that are constructed to look like reports written by the reporters about how hot new condo projects are selling, they are paid for advertisements.

Make sure to hit Vivoli, I think it's over by the Santa Croce cathedral, for some of the best gelato in Florence (as my waistline will attest)...

A colleague from Armenia told me last week that her relatives recently sold their house in Yerevan for $80K.

I love Cinque Terre. It is definitly a hidden gem. Keep it that way. I like the picture. I remember hiking down from the train station to the rocky beach. The water was an unreal blue. Enjoy your trip.
