Faux News blames HP and other "online communities" for messing with GOP debate poll outcome where Ron Paul kicks butt

I guess Rudy, John, Mitt, Tommy, Jim and the rest have no "online community" support. Maybe that should tell the MSM something?

If you didn't hate Faux News before, I hope this helps. And it's so funny to see the right wing GOP turn so harsh on Ron Paul. I guess they forgot what it meant to be a true Republican somewhere along the way.

Why Hasn’t Rudy Giuliani Read the 9-11 Commission Report?

May 16, 2007

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ARLINGTON, VA – During the "First in the South" GOP debate in South Carolina last night, one thing was made clear: Rudy Giuliani does not understand how to keep America safe.

When Congressman Ron Paul, who has long served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, explained how 50 years of American interventionism in the Middle East has helped compromise our national security, Giuliani interrupted saying he had "never heard anything so absurd." This statement is particularly troubling coming from the former mayor who tries to cast himself as a security expert, since Dr. Paul's point comes directly from the bi-partisan 9-11 Commission Report.

"Rudy Giuliani has tip-toed around the issues of abortion, guns and marriage. The only issue he has left is security, and he doesn't even get that right," said campaign chairman Kent Snyder. "It is clear from his interruption that former Mayor Giuliani has not read the 9-11 Commission Report and has no clue on how to keep America safe."

The talking heads pick out Government Keith. What world are you living in?
I think the only thing that matters is a degree in Journalism and a camera, and then you get to pick the POTUS.

The another night I awoke to what I think was a FOX news discussion of how George Soros was the one who was REALLY responsible for Wolfies problems at the world bank.

I fell back to sleep, hoping it was a dream, but I think not...

Anonymous said...

Yup, Larry Kudlow hates Paul so much he won't even write about him...

Anonymous said...

Yeah sure thing. Nobody has ever heard of Ron Paul yet 50% of the public wants him as President. If you really think those online polls are legit you're a moron. The same thing happened after the 1st (I think) Bush/Kerry debate. The msnbc online poll showed something like 90% thought Kerry won. I don't care what the topic is, there is no way 90% will agree on anything, be it Kerry or Bush or whether Pari should go to jail or not. Those polls are so easily manipulated I don't know why anyone bothers with them.

They are all owned. You can't be that stupid.

The elites are circling the wagons folks. Can't have a Popularist in office because that is not part of the script.

Great - now we have a "texting Divide".

A sad day for the Republican Party and old-line conservatives everywhere. Clearly the Neocons are in control of Fox News.

There has got to be something strange about Ron Paul doing very well after the debates with these call in polls, but he doesn't show up much in other polls that all the various polling networks and companies do. What's with that??? Is his name even mentioned in these "big media" polls?

The polls do not tell us that 50% of the public support Ron Paul. The polls tell us that of those who watched the debates, the majority liked Paul better than the other candidates. The reason is simple. The other candidates speak in sound bites and say nothing of substance. Ron Paul is the only one saying what needs to be said.

So much interrupting on that newscast... makes me feel a little ill...

At least Fox News is discussing Ron Paul, albeit negatively. All the other news channels have just ignored him. I don't think anyone on CNN realizes he even exists. Keep up the fundraising efforts, Keith. If Ron Paul takes in a decent amount of cash, they won't be able to explain away that.

Anonymous said...

Well don't that explain it all: most of the FOX news talking heads admit they don't know HOW to send a text message? They actually seem proud of declaring their idiocy in public, as if it's a badge of honor to whine about "these new-fangled gadgets" kids are using today? Gimme a break!

Here's a novel concept: anyone who cannot figure out how to send a text message on their cell phone has no business voting, let alone commenting, on who the leaders should be!

it's amazing that FoxNews will conjure up a conspiracy when it suits them but dismises the rationality of a 9/11 conspiracy when it doesn't.

I'm part of the Ron Paul online conspiracy. You can tell Ron Paul is a good guy when you have wackos from the far left (Bill Maher) and far right (Sean Hannity) attacking him. The establishment cannot stand having a real uniter as President. As Ron Paul gets more popular, there will be more MSM attacks on him and eventually the powers might turn to violence.

Ron Paul is just another republican whose platform depends largely on the primitive human instincts of greed, selfishness and fear. Some of his positions are slightly palatable but most are simply age-old conservatism which can be boiled down to MINE MINE MINE. Every-man-for-himself, anything-for-a-buck, I've-got-mine-go-get-your-own.

All republicans are scum. There never was a magical republican party different than the one we see today. They just decided it was time to take off the mask sometime during the reagan years, exposing the ugliness underneath.

You don't build a society or a sense of community by electing those savages. In eras gone by, people like our republicans would have been sent into the woods to be eaten by bears for their lack of compassion for their fellow man.

Didn't Dennis Kucinich win some online polls too? It amkes sense both Kucinich and Paul would do that as their rabid extremist supporters on the left and teh right will go and vote in droves.

So Ron Paul gets 10,000 bloggers and readers of blogs to vote for him. What does that prove? It proves that there are 10,000 people as insane as he is.

Sending in your $25 to this loon is like seding $25 to the PTL club or the 700 Club...crazy people parting with their money.

he's got about 6 of his 15 minutes left

I like Ron Paul, it's always interesting to have a way out there in left field candidate. Keeps the others on their toes. He's got less than a snowball's chance but he's fun.

Anonymous said...

Funny how they don't question the possibility of the mormon community organizing and voting for Romney, which seems just as likely if not more so.

Anonymous said...

What you people are missing is that he is being heard. Rudy looked like a jack @ss by interupting Ron Paul. He's forcing the other republicans to actually defend their foreign policy position.

Sending him money will not be fruitless because it will give him the ability to reach people with his message he would not normally know about him. Most of us realize he wont win but he is making the party line boys look awful foolish.

True, that's old school Republicanism.

New School Neocon Republicanism is
MINE MINE MINE, then LIE LIE LIE, plus ripping off YOURS YOURS YOURS by LOOT LOOT LOOTing the US Treasury and KILL KILL KILLing your sons in some sandy hellhole.

And then we get nuked.

By comparison, Ron Paul is Thomas Jefferson.

And no Dennis Kucinich hasn't won any online polls except "Greatest resemblance to a Vulcan dwarf".

I doubt any of you caught The View this morning but they had a long discussion about the debates, specifically Ron Paul. They all agreed (except for that idoit Elizabeth) that Paul made a great point about foreign policy. Hopefully more women will now know who Ron Paul is. Imagine, this is a show on ABC and Paul got some coverage, positive coverage at that. Kudos to Joy Behar for putting Paul in the spotlight!

You know our country is done when pseudo-intellectuals call a strict constitutionalist, a "wacko", "loon", and out in left field.

I can't wait till the shootin' starts!

WTF?

Lack of compassion?

What compassion have the Dems shown us?
Aborted 50 million Americans over the last 30 years?
Now we have to replace our lost SS payers w/foreigner amnesty.

Great job you POS.

The Dems have destroyed the USA.

The next compassionate dem I see, I'm punching straight in the face.

Yes, you hit it out of the park with that post!

The Fox Blondie called him "entertaining", but I don't think you would use "intellectual" in any way, shape or form to describe her.

The "dems" didn't abort those fetuses. Women did. Women whose bodies those fetuses were living off of and who had the right to terminate that pregnancy. It's a unique situation with no comparison so you can't apply any other morality on abortion. In a way it's hers to murder if that's how you see it. If the mother decided to jump off a cliff that fetus would die so she controls its destiny since it's growing inside of her.

Ron Paul is not part of the rigged system of corporate power and figureheads like Bush and Clinton. Read his speeches and then check out his voting record. He's the only politician out there that says what he means and backs it up with a long, untarnished voting record. He's right when he says Bush ran on a platform of humble foreign policy and now it's known Bush intended to get rid of Hussein before he entered office - and yet we never heard one accusation of flip/flop because Bush was the corporate media's guy. Just like Giulani is now.
Paul is for SOUND MONEY. That means if he wins, everyone who has been ripped off by dollar debasement will start to gain ground - and everyone who is part of the current dollar Fed scam will lose. It would turn power on its head. THAT'S the reason he can't be allowed to win. THAT's the reason he is shizophrenically suffering vicious media attacks or media blackouts. A contest between Kerry adn Bush was a heads you lose, tails I win for corporatism. Letting Paul in the door would be a real problem. They don't tolerate risks they don't control.

Here's a transcript of the exchange on The View regarding Paul:
Barbara Walters: "Well, I did not watch the Republican debate, uh, tonight, but, uh, (someone named Elizabeth interjects, "I did".), uh, you did, OK, but it was Rudy Giuliani's shining hour, I mean he couldn't have set it up better because his whole approach has been that he's been very strong on terrorism and even though we get a lot of raps these days on what happened to so many of the people that, uh (throws up hands, starts shrugging, gesturing) (O'Donnell interjects, "First Responders"), First Responders and, uh, but in any event, uh, what happened was, I'm just going through my notes to find it (starts fumbling through cards) one of the people, (Elizabeth interjects loudly, "Ron Paul") yeah, who a lot of people do not know about said, that the reason for the Iraq war is that we, uh, we already were involved, uh, let me see, uh, (still struggling to find notes) (Elizabeth interjects"we were attacking them for ten years") Walters finds card and reads, "what about the reason they attacked us, the reason they attacked us is because we've been over there, I'm suggesting that we listen to the people who attacked us", and Giuliani (Walters stops reading, becomes wide eyed and emphatic), cause I saw the tape, not screaming, not yelling, very calm, said,"That was an extraordinary statement as someone who lived through the attacks of September 11th that we invited the attack because we were attacking Iraq. I don't think I've ever heard something so absurd". Walters said,"And he came across as very strong"...Elizabeth then takes over the plug for Giuliani. Ends up by saying she "loves to see those people like that Ron Paul or the people who have NO SHOT whatsoever that say ridiculous things. They just throw it out there, they don't care".
So the essence was to plug Giulani and discredit Paul - to make him seem crazy. When if you listen to him, he's the only one really making any sense. TPTB must be terrified.

The following day on the View, Barbara Walters was absent and someone named Joy who had not been on the previous day took up the Giuliani/Ron Paul thread. Because of yesterday's show, Rosie O'Connel watched the tape of the debate and joined into today's discussion. In essence, everybody ganged up on Elizabeth and stuck up for Ron Paul. Elizabeth looked apoplectic and no matter how much she used her grating voice to try and drown out Joy, Joy stuck to her point that Ron Paul was right and we should take a look at our foreign policy. She also repeated Ron's statement about the 14 permanent bases being constructed in Iraq and seemed quite taken aback by it. So now the View audience knows all about it, too. And the audience was 100% behind her. It was 180% degrees from yesterday's show.

The MSM is really pushing the Ron Paul shouldn't be allowed to debate, Ron Paul shouldn't be able to call himself a Republican and it's getting rather tired. And it looks like the public isn't buying it.
