Because of yesterday's show, Rosie O'Connel watched the tape of the debate and joined into today's discussion. In essence, everybody ganged up on Elizabeth and stuck up for Ron Paul. Elizabeth looked apoplectic and no matter how much she used her grating voice to try and drown out Joy, Joy stuck to her point that Ron Paul was right and we should take a look at our foreign policy. She also repeated Ron's statement about the 14 permanent bases being constructed in Iraq and seemed quite taken aback by it. So now the View audience knows all about it, too. And the audience was 100% behind her. It was 180% degrees from yesterday's show.

The MSM is really pushing the Ron Paul shouldn't be allowed to debate, Ron Paul shouldn't be able to call himself a Republican and it's getting rather tired. And it looks like the public isn't buying it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18675105.post-47042384059624844582007-05-18T20:33:00.000+01:002007-05-18T20:33:00.000+01:00Here's a transcript of the exchange on The View re...Here's a transcript of the exchange on The View regarding Paul:
Barbara Walters: "Well, I did not watch the Republican debate, uh, tonight, but, uh, (someone named Elizabeth interjects, "I did".), uh, you did, OK, but it was Rudy Giuliani's shining hour, I mean he couldn't have set it up better because his whole approach has been that he's been very strong on terrorism and even though we get a lot of raps these days on what happened to so many of the people that, uh (throws up hands, starts shrugging, gesturing) (O'Donnell interjects, "First Responders"), First Responders and, uh, but in any event, uh, what happened was, I'm just going through my notes to find it (starts fumbling through cards) one of the people, (Elizabeth interjects loudly, "Ron Paul") yeah, who a lot of people do not know about said, that the reason for the Iraq war is that we, uh, we already were involved, uh, let me see, uh, (still struggling to find notes) (Elizabeth interjects"we were attacking them for ten years") Walters finds card and reads, "what about the reason they attacked us, the reason they attacked us is because we've been over there, I'm suggesting that we listen to the people who attacked us", and Giuliani (Walters stops reading, becomes wide eyed and emphatic), cause I saw the tape, not screaming, not yelling, very calm, said,"That was an extraordinary statement as someone who lived through the attacks of September 11th that we invited the attack because we were attacking Iraq. I don't think I've ever heard something so absurd". Walters said,"And he came across as very strong"...Elizabeth then takes over the plug for Giuliani. Ends up by saying she "loves to see those people like that Ron Paul or the people who have NO SHOT whatsoever that say ridiculous things. They just throw it out there, they don't care".
So the essence was to plug Giulani and discredit Paul - to make him seem crazy. When if you listen to him, he's the only one really making any sense. TPTB must be terrified.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18675105.post-15900329040736173372007-05-18T20:28:00.000+01:002007-05-18T20:28:00.000+01:00Ron Paul is not part of the rigged system of corpo...Ron Paul is not part of the rigged system of corporate power and figureheads like Bush and Clinton. Read his speeches and then check out his voting record. He's the only politician out there that says what he means and backs it up with a long, untarnished voting record. He's right when he says Bush ran on a platform of humble foreign policy and now it's known Bush intended to get rid of Hussein before he entered office - and yet we never heard one accusation of flip/flop because Bush was the corporate media's guy. Just like Giulani is now.
Paul is for SOUND MONEY. That means if he wins, everyone who has been ripped off by dollar debasement will start to gain ground - and everyone who is part of the current dollar Fed scam will lose. It would turn power on its head. THAT'S the reason he can't be allowed to win. THAT's the reason he is shizophrenically suffering vicious media attacks or media blackouts. A contest between Kerry adn Bush was a heads you lose, tails I win for corporatism. Letting Paul in the door would be a real problem. They don't tolerate risks they don't control.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18675105.post-34467091756986281872007-05-18T12:38:00.000+01:002007-05-18T12:38:00.000+01:00Fox news makes you dumber.Fox news makes you dumber.Paul E.
