Anyone else want their trillion dollars back?

What a waste. What a colossal waste.

And yet nobody seems to care.

Americans, this man, the worst president in US history, has done irreparable damage to our country. And you let him. We all did.

Think it's bad now? Just wait until the housing crash is in full effect. And maybe then people might give a damn.

But by then it may be too late. The damage has been done. Now it's only a question of how bad we'll let the damage get.

I support the troops, and I want to bring 'em home now. I hope some of you do what you can to help paralyze this incompetent administration. We can't get rid of 'em, but at least we can limit the damage these next two years.

Until Hillary gets in and brings the country to its knees.

The current administration is inept for sure. But how is any administration different? It doesn't matter what political party is running the show, they wil do whatever it takes to get re-elected.

Secondly, I know several marines in Iraq right now and they believe that a pull out would be the worst thing they can do. These people VOLUNTARILY joined the services to defend our country. They were not drafted. I know Iraq is a shithole right now, and we should not have gone in, but we simply can't leave them to the wolves.

irrepairable damage

I would rather have every Islamic terrorist killed than have a trillion dollars. I don't care what the cost is. Islamic terrorists are animals who don't deserve to live. We are trying to fight a politically correct war so all the wimps in the world don't get offended. Our military is the best in the world and if we would just let them do there job they would and the world would be a safer place. Unfortunately, middle eastern men are useless. They are lazy and have nothing to live for. They claim to be so religious and they all have pornography on there computers.

The embarrassing truth about incompetent leadership is that it is the direct result of an incompetent electorate.

Monkeys with opposable thumbs, people. That's all we are.

I think many of us have already helped to paralyze the administration by making the House and Senate democratically controlled once again. They can't just steamroll their ill-advised ideas through Congress anymore. I see that Ron Paul came out with a great message about Iraq as shown on Mish's Global Economic Analysis blog. Ron Paul tells it like it is.

Keith, you said "repairable damage"...I think you meant "unrepairable damage" or "irreparable damage".

I almost feel sorry for him. He was placed in a job far above his level of competence, and he had no choice but to let Dick Cheney and Karl Rove run the country for him and just hope they wouldn't make him look like the helpless douche that he really is.

And it was never any secret that George Bush was incompetent, or that he wouldn't be running the show. And though this nation can't take the blame for 2000, he was elected for real in 2004. I'm a lot more disappointed in this nation.

I care. The money is irrelevant, over three thousand US military personnel dead, tens of thousand more maimed for life, hundreds of thousand of innocent Iraqi civilians dead, an even greater number injured and over a million refugees.

All in the name of Kellogg, Brown & Root/Halliburton and their need for easy billions in profits.

Thank you, Dubya, you evil ignorant bastard. You and your evil henchman will rot in hell for what you've done to these people, these countries and this world. All the easy Military-Industrial profits you doled out to your buds will not matter when you stand before God on judgment day.

Most people have no idea the permanent damage that has been done. Not only to the constitution, but to the very future of the country. From putting businessmen in charge of the EPA, to transferring untold wealth from the middle class to the top .01%, to ignoring the crumbling infrastructure....it goes on and on. 25 years from now middle class America will be in a state of shock as to ultimate result of the Bush administration.

People tend to be apathetic about the massive waste that is going on (i.e. Iraq war) because they don't think it affects them. But as they say "paybacks are hell". In this case it's the government paying back its debt which is going to be hell. Most people don't seem to realize that government debt is *our* debt.

All I can say the to those that voted him in you got what you deserved. The rest of us who didn't vote for the bastard don't deserve this!

Geez, look how much younger he looks in that photo. 2 terms in that job just sucks the like out of a person. It happened to clinton too.

It's a lot more than a trillion.

Remember, America, since the cost of war is about $500B, and I'm sure another $500B of your taxes flew into the Military-Industrial Complex, then the gas you thought you were buying for actually cost you $1.80/gal more over the last 4 years. (About 140Bgal are consumed yearly in the USA.) That means a gallon of gas you pay today is about $4.80, of which $1.80 is deferred to the taxes that you'll have to pay in the future. Note well the Imperial Apologists like to say our gas is oh-so-much cheaper than Pinko Socialist Europe ... but what is the REAL price of using gasoline in the Holy American Empire?

I'm sorry but the 1990's was such a betterdecade than this one and heactually almost killed Bin Laden. Remember Katrina? If your Republican its alright to criticize Bush. I'm a democrat and I would have been angry at Lyndon Johnson.

Just what is the worth of preventing another 9/11? Or a Beslan? Or a London bombing. The islamists want to make the whole world islam and under Sharia Law - and will used any methods to do it (as they are all sanctioned by the Koran). This war is not about Iraq and will not stop if we leave Iraq...

They were not drafted. I know Iraq is a shithole right now, and we should not have gone in, but we simply can't leave them to the wolves.

The wolves will win no matter what - it is their country. It's not if but when. It's good to stick to your guns, but not if you are just spending money and lives for nothing.

Well divide 1 trillion by 300 million people, it's really unpayable.

What's the big problem with HIllary, versus anyone else that is? Do you have good reasons or are you just coming up with attributions to explain the fact that you just don't like the woman personally.

All I know is I keep hearing the comment from all walks that "I feel sorry for whoever gets elected in 2008."

Ditto that for me too.

Anonymous said...

Yep. he's the worst ever. However, I am probably voting for Hillary. Kinda like the car wreck....you have to slow down and take a look. I want to see what happens with her in there. It's not going to affect my life at all. If this COLLOSAL disaster of a president had no effect on my life (which he didn't - nothing has changed for me), she can't have an effect either.

Go Hillary, bring on the chaos.

Boy some of you who think the Constitution is in grave jeopardy because of one President should review the history of this country. There are several President's who have usurped power from the Constitution, including two considered among our best, Lincoln and FDR. As Santayana said, those who do not know their history are doomed to repeat it (paraphrased). Stop being such alarmists, this too shall pass, the Constitution and the Republic will live on.

uh - the world trade center attacks - number one in the early 90's and the second in 2001 prove that rising Islamofascim, not GWB is the enemy. You candy-ass liberals would all be complaining whatever response America took. Take a look at the FACTS you bumbling idiots. Below is in thousands of barrels a day from the top countries US imports from:

CANADA 1,838
MEXICO 1,358
SAUDI ARABIA 1,185
VENEZUELA 1,115
NIGERIA 1,061
ANGOLA 451
ALGERIA 392
IRAQ 325
ECUADOR 178
KUWAIT 158
UNITED KINGDOM 137
BRAZIL 103
CHAD 87
COLOMBIA 73
LIBYA 63

Notice the middle east supplies very little of the imported oil. So please tying the war to oil since if we really wanted oil that bad imports from Iraq would be near the top! I know that doesn;t jive with you conspiracy idiots, but don't let facts get in the way.

The war may be costly, but so would doing nothing in response. Do you really think Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction after all the free world spy agencies said he did? Might they be in Syria, or did Saddam have a change of heart after gassing so many?

yes he is a very bad president and yes i think he is the worst president we have ever had. but you have to understand.......to cure this problem you have to get rid of the federal reserve bank and its collection arm, the irs.....when you do that, and you start printing your own currency which is afforded us in the constitution, then you will get men in office that mean what they say and say what they mean and are not beholding to banking interests.....it is the only way to start to rebuild this nation....get rid of the fiat money and the leaches that live off of this scam....and then, you will be on your way to reclaiming national health.......but until that time comes, nothing will change, it will only get worse as it has since the early 1900's....we must understand that wars are fought for a reason, to make the bankers richer......the enemies of this nation are manufactured....everything you think you see , does no exist......we are brain washed time and time again and most do not see it.......let me say again......all wars since 1812 have been unconstitutional and unnecessary. they have all been started on purpose and men have died for no good reason. this president continues the tradition of getting us to wars that have no real purpose to us as americans. with war, comes a war economy and profits for the king makers and death to the ground pounders....and so it has been around here for 200 years.......can we change it? yes i think we can....the internet is waking up more and more people like never before.........it is time to reconsider what we think is our real history and politics as we know it.....

Yeah things were just TERRIBLE back then. I mean with the world trade center still being up, the fact that we still had allies, the fact that the world as a whole didn't hate us. Gas under a dollar, a booming stock market. Low inflation, low unemployment.

Then THAT BASTRD had to go get a blowjob and LIE about it@!! Why I've never heard of such a thing!

Clinton started 2 wars against Yugoslvia. Clinton did nothing after WTC attacks in 1993. Clinton prisided over the .com bubble and 1/2 of the .com crash. It was under Clinton that Saddam snubbed his nose at the US and UN inspectord. It was under Clinton that 9/11 was planned. It was under Clinton that nuclear secrets were given away to China and N. We as a nation have become a big pile of thoughtless idiots ourselves, clearly. If I had the financial wherewithall, I would pack up the wife the dogs, and the cats, and head off to costa rica. DOH!

I would like to introduce the concept of fungibility. This means that in the global market, a shortage anywhere will result in the commodity being bid up everywhere.

Just because we normally get most of our oil from elsewhere than the ME, oil prices will still skyrocket if the Europeans are shorted and start bidding up the price.

Anonymous said...

Mexico, SA, Venezuela - they are solid oil exporters to the U.S. and will be for the foreseeable future. Although PEMEX has announced a 15% decline in Cantarell, Hugo Chavez has nationalized the oil industry, and SA's Ghawar is showing its age, the effects from these and other developments are expected to be negligible.

If the Mechanisms of Democracy & Justice work as they should then just as Tricky Dicky was taken down so may The Neo-Cons. Their corruption & abuse of power is soo out blatant (e.g. Wolfowitz & his World Bank scandal, Cheney & Haliburton/KBR etc.) you just might see "sovereign immunity" stripped away and criminal proceedings brought against them someday. If the US does not have the moral courage to bring such war criminals to justice hopefully the World Court will to at least confine them to the US & put the sword of Damocles over their head in case they every slip up.

The irony being that if they would have been as humble & serious about leading this nation as King Damocles was about his then we would have prevent 9/11 and if not then we would have fought the good fight & routed al Qaida in the Mountains of Afghanistan years ago and have that Bastard Bin Laden's head on a stick by now. Instead the true enemy is now stronger that ever, our credibility is ZERO, we have no allies, we are deeper in debt, we are bogged down in a quagmire and we've abused & stretched our military with an unnecessary lost of life and human suffering that if it was at the hands of a non-democratic ruthless dictator we would be up in arms about the carnage.

Thank you DUMBYA!!

Speak for yourselves because I never let him do crap. I never voted for this idiot and his secret society freaks. As a matter of fact, when he stole the election from Gore, the first thing I said was: "Let it go, now they're going to create a phony war and bring the economy down." Bingo!

And quit saying that this administration is not any different than others because only an idiot would believe that. Keep voting Republican and watching Fox News sheeple...you guys are geniuses!

It's a fact that Americans die more in bath tube drownings per year than in terrorist attacks. I suggest you read the book Overblown and take a class of statistics, so you can stop believing in Karl Rove and Cheney's propaganda that the bogey man terrorist is gonna get you. Much easier to manipulate the sheeple when they are constantly frighten. It's Mccartheism all over again.

You should join the Army right now to fight in Iraq. Are you another one of those cowards who just keep yacking away on blogs but craps on the pants with the idea of going to the war? Stop playing macho and Bushie just on the keyboard and go die for Halliburton in Iraq. As a matter of fact, take your entire family with you. Are you all cowards? Don't come with excuses here on the blog, just go to the nearest Marine office right now and make Ronald Reagan proud.

OK. But as part of the deal only people who join the police force can call 911. Agreed?

I just did an advanced search using Yahoo!, entering simply the exact phrase "worst president ever", with no names or any other search arguments. The search returned 336,000 hits. The entire first page of hits referred to Bush. The most interesting thing was that the search suggested to also try "George W. Bush." No other names - not Grant, Harding, Pierce, Buchanan, Coolidge, or anyone else. Just try Bush. Amazing.

Man, unbelievable the amount of ignorant people in this land. No wonder only 16% of Americans have a bachelor's degree. And he says: "Lets do nothing after 9-11". Hey, 9-11 happened during Bush's corrupt and incompetent administration. You seeking protection from the same incompetent people who allowed 9-11 to happen: the Republican White House and Republican majority in Senate and House. How stupid is that? But I guess you already know that and like to live in denial, like most Republicans.

Hey Keith, your blog are filled with Republican sissies who are afraid to fight in Iraq. They only play the macho card from far far away, behind the safety of a computer monitor, while stuffing their faces with junk food and their leveraged houses with Chinese crap.

The fact that both google founders are heavy contributors to the Demcoratic party has nothing to do with this. I don't pay rent. I own two homes outright.

And before you start calling me a "liberal", mr. pottymouth, let me assure you I am a true conservative, unlike that guy you feel is necessary to offer apologies and excuses for. I believe in balanced budgets and living within one's means, even for governments. I believe in smaller government, not the Department of Homeland Security, the largest federal agency ever. FDR would have been proud of that one. I believe in local control, not federal control over my neighborhood schools, as with No Child Left Behind. Grow up, then wise up!
