Here's a number you'll never see again in your lifetime: 84% of Americans think the country is on the wrong track. Thank you George W. Bush.

George W. Bush is far and away The Worst President in the History of the United States of America. A total, complete, miserable failure.

I honestly don't see, even if he tried, how he could have been a worse president. Everything that man did turned to sh*t. He has set the GOP back 50 years, McCain and his GOP colleagues will lose in a historic landslide this November, and now it'll be the Dems chance to screw it up (or make it better).

Looking back, I think we'd all agree that The Iraq Debacle destroyed his presidency. And that the housing crash took him to a whole different level.

HousingPANIC would also like to salute the 62,040,610 suckers who voted for Bush in 2004. Sure, Kerry was a mediocre candidate. Sure, you hate those fags. Sure, Osama is a scary dude. But good god, how could you have been so reckless with your vote? How could you have been taken for such a fool?

84%. That's an amazing number. As a nation, I think we're close to hitting bottom. After all there's only 16 points left to go.

Say It Ain't So

President Bush's approval rating has dipped since the May '08 Wash Post/ABC survey, to 29% from 31%. Meanwhile, 68% disapprove of the job Bush is doing. National sentiment about the president's leadership is, of course, a critical variable in the WH contest for McCain, and one he can do nothing to remedy.

The poll's right track/wrong track numbers also underscore Bush's dismal job approval numbers. Just 14% of those surveyed believe the country is moving in the right direction, and 84% said it's on the wrong track. That's the most dramatic split -- the highest wrong track number -- in the 15-year history of the survey.

And now we have RepublicanPANIC

The good news? The GOP brand is mortally wounded thanks to the incompetence and arrogance of Bush and Cheney. "Republican" may be even lower than "realtor" in the American lexicon today. The voters are rightly pissed, and they're going to take it out on the party of Bush something fierce in November.

The bad news? That leaves the incompetent, big-government, high-tax Democratic party.

God help us all.

So, what to do in November? Vote against EVERY incumbent except Ron Paul. Start over. Send a message to our elected officials that the voters are awake again, and that they answer to us.

Or not and just continue on into the abyss...

Wall Street Journal: The Republican Panic

If there is such a thing as a useful election defeat, then Tuesday's Republican loss in a special House election in Mississippi would qualify. Maybe this thumping in a heretofore safe GOP seat will finally scare the Members straight, or at least less crooked.

Democrats won with 54% of the vote in a district that a Republican won with 66% in 2006 and that President Bush carried in 2004 by 25 points. It was the GOP's third special election loss this year, and it has Democrats predicting that November will be another rout of 2006 proportions.

Oklahoma's Tom Cole, who runs the National Republican Congressional Committee, captured the GOP reaction when he declared that "There is no district that is safe for Republican candidates."

Olbermann destroys Bush again in a Special Comment. I think at this point it's safe to say George W. Bush will not have a peaceful retirement

And his embarrassing speech today isn't going to help.

The Worst President Ever. History will not be kind.

Here's Olbermann, doing what others should have been doing all along. Go ahead, the few Bush supporters left, rip on the messenger. Meanwhile, the other 84% of us will nod our heads, and wonder how the hell America was stupid enough to put this man into office for eight long years.

George Bush - soon to be on the run after bankrupting blacks and hispanics with his Great Housing Ponzi Scheme

Here's George W. Bush, The Worst President Ever, pumping the housing Ponzi Scheme in 2002, launching his Big Con to get the last suckers in (blacks, hispanics and "subprimers") with toxic loans that would end up bankrupting them and taking down the economy:

"I've set this goal for the country. We want 5.5 million more homeowners by 2010 -- million more minority homeowners by 2010. Five-and-a-half million families by 2010 will own a home. That is our goal. It is a realistic goal. But it's going to mean we're going to have to work hard to achieve the goal, all of us. And by all of us, I mean not only the federal government, but the private sector, as well.

George Bush yesterday, probably understanding now that he fuc*ked up royally:

"I like the fundamentals. They look strong but there are new signals that cause concern and one of the signals is the fact the housing market is soft. It's going to take a while to work through the downturn"

In the end, in this case I'm not sure if Bush was corrupt, or if he was just stupid. I'm leaning toward stupid. History will not be kind.
