HousingPANIC salutes the brave monks of Tibet who continue to stand up to the evil Chinese leadership, while Americans plan their next Wal-Mart trip

No, I will not stop posting on this subject.

Yes, I do attend Tibet protests, a few people can have a major impact, and there's some good things going on here in Budapest and where you are too.

And yes, you should get off your asses once in your life and care. And do the right thing. And stop supporting evil.

It's time to hit the evil communist leaders of China where it hurts (at Wal-Mart), and I hope their people rise up as we head into this summer's 'festivities'. Now THAT'S the Olympic spirit.

Tibet, we are told, was a slave society before the communists freed the common people from the feudal system that existed there. Religion in the communist world is still viewed as a poison.
I know one thing, Tibet was never a threat to anyone and their concerns were focused on prayer, not on conquest.
I hope that they free themselves from China. I can't do much at my age, but I have their flag on display and I am wearing a pin to keep them in mind.

You don't believe in Christ, our Lord, so how can you believe in evil?

Keith, you seem like a good guy. We are in the last days friend and I don't want you to miss your opportunity for salvation. You're a smart guy. Please research online why we are in the last days. Look up bible prophecy. Much is happening that proves time is very short. Just Google Ezekiel 38-39 and Isaiah 17, and compare those verses with middle east news events. That's just a start.

In Christ

Keith...you ole hippy!!
I tell my foreign friends that if you think America was evil as one of the world leaders....wait 10-20 more years as China....and to a lesser extent, Russia, take over. This time Russia is doing it the right way...economically(natural resources) not militarily.

It is time for all of us to stop buying this cheap crap.

Doesn't matter what it is. So many people do not have any money saved and / or they have mountains of debt.

It's time to just stop buying useless crap. I know I haven't bought anything from Wal-mart or Target for a while. now.

Don't be too quick to "salute those brave monks standing up to the evil Chinese leadership" First, there have been regular disputes between China and Tibetan lands going back over a thousand years. Second, prior to Chinese involvement in Tibet, the monks ruled with an iron fist, anyone who slightly resisted would be thrown in to jail and tortured hideously. The lamas were booted out through a revolution of the people supported by China. China built the first hospitals, schools, roads, sanitation, and water facilities in the country. There is all sorts of information out on the web about the history of Tibet. Additionally, Penn and Teller has a Bullshit segment about the Dali Lama and the myths surrounding him and the previous Tibetan government.

Why has the US not been hit by another terrorist attack?

Think about it?

Free Tibetan Monks!

With every $20.00 Walmart purchase.

Tibet/Nepal was a land grab by China and India. They should just give it back and make a neutral zone between the two countries. Then they could sleep with a better conscious at night.

This American hasn't set foot in a Walmart in years. Cheap crap that doesn't last.

So which side of the river are you on Buda or Pest. Here is my favorite Hungarian curse (they are really good at it.

Seriously. I'm afraid I have to tell you that China is right in this one China has striven to improve Tibet and all the monks can do is try to incite riots. The anti-China slant of our media is ridiculous. China is probably going to be the most powerful nation in the next 20 years and they have earned it. Granted it can be a little excessive sometimes, but overall it is a great country. How many wars have you seen China start in the last 20 years?

Hate to break it to you anonymous, but there is no god and all of your faith is empty. When you die, you don't go to heaven, you simply cease to be. Oh, but you already knew that deep in your heart, didn't you? I thought so. Take a step back (a big step) and you will see the truth in my words.

The Dalai Lama needs to step down as a political leader. History has shown that freedom has to be earned with bloods and sacrifices. The Chinese won't give up control of Tibet until their asses are kicked out. The young generation of Tibetans needs to stand up and fight the Chinese. The only way to get their freedom back.

Hey Keith, why don't you salute the brave Iraqis that are standing up to the evil American leadership?

Sounds a little hypocritical to me but it's easy to criticize other countries before taking a look at that man in the mirror.

Keith,

Don't shut up about Tibet. It's just another toxic example of what comes along, in a 'package deal', with the cheap shit we buy from China.

Americans need get their asses off the couches bought on layaway, shut off the stupid premium cable TV, find China on a map and start paying attention to something other than adding to our piles of cheap crap we don't need.

If the Tibetan monks don't do it for you, perhaps the fact that the Chinese virtually own the US financial system does? (Or do you not care, because you think your home equity and social security payments will get you through life?) If not that, how about counterfeit drugs or contaminated food exports?

I hope the EU has the balls to boycott the Olympics. Would be nice if the US did also, but we're such complacent whores it'll probably never happen.

Keith:

You never care about the Chinese lives lost at the beginning of the riot. The violent Tibetan youth started the burning, smashing and killing... enough said.

I will continue to shop at wal-mart and buy items made in China, just like any other countries. I enjoy globalization as a consumer.
I have purchased the following things in the past several weeks made abroad:

Egg hunt buckets for kids, made in China...
Pork ribs, from Netherlands...
Corona beer, Mexico...
Banana, Ecuador...
Sea bass, Chile...

Tibet was, is, and will be part of China and most Chinese believe in that. Don't use "communist" as your excuse to your hatred toward Chinese. You still have got quite a lot of cold war mentality.

Just what most people would have guessed:

This is a "false flag" riot perpetrated by the Chinese People's Liberation Army against their own countrymen.

3/27/08
""Britain’s GCHQ spy agency has confirmed the fact that Chinese People’s Liberation Army agents posing as monks staged violent riots in Tibet in order to justify a brutal crackdown, but that the demonstrations have now escalated beyond Beijing’s control.""

"GCHQ analysts believe the decision was deliberately calculated by the Beijing leadership to provide an excuse to stamp out the simmering unrest in the region, which is already attracting unwelcome world attention in the run-up to the Olympic Games this summer."

My guess is that that China is so scared about them staging protests during the Olympics that they are creating this false flag riot to shut them down now. This is complete bullsh*t. Wake up America ... our government pulls this sh*t too ... usually in other countries.

Kieth, you really make me laugh sometimes. Again, did you not knowingly make a ton of money by selling your home at an outrageously high price and screwing your fellow man?

Genesis 4:9
Matthew 7:12

Nice try last anon. I sold my last home at a price that the market would bear. I sell stocks every day at their market price too. Values could have gone up, could have gone down.

Selling your asset to a buyer or buying an asset from a seller with full disclosure is not good or bad. It's the free market.

That said, deceiving people during a transaction, like selling a car that's been in an accident without disclosing that it's been in an accident, that's another story.

Now go back to church. Might learn something there.

Keith,

do you know that prior to the Chinese overtake of Tibet, a sizeable portion of the population were serfs bound to the rich monasteries, basically their property. Mutilations were common, like gouging out eyes, cutting off ears. The first thing the Chinese did after they overtook Tibet was to outlaw mutilations.

Hospitals, schools, modernized infrastructure - it's all been done by the Chinese.

One more reason why everyone should tune in to Alex Jone's radio show on a daily basis.

"oooh but he's a cwazy conspiracy theorist"

Let's grow up and get over calling every piece of news that doesn't come directly out of the corporate media or government's mouth a consipiracy theory, OK??!!

Just freakin tune in to his show for a few weeks and then make up your minds. Or go back to sleep sheepies - you're a lost cause.

I know Wal-Mart is an easy and appropriate target (no pun intended), but let's not forget that Chinese crap is everywhere. One store that I find especially disgusting is Party City. Talk about Chinese crap. "Here kids. I helped destroy your planet so you could play with these plastic kazoos for a few minutes before you get bored with them."

Buy less stuff whether it's Chinese made or not, and buy quality stuff when you need to buy something.

Oh, and that Tibet thing, too.

Anonymous said...

Why are people blame the Chinese for producing the crappy products? Did they put a gun in the American's head and force us to buy them?

We like to blame others for everything wrong in this country. If we don't address the demand side problem in this country, how can we blame others for sending the stuff to us?

Typically infantile American mentality ... Remember, you have the money, and you decide what to buy ... the producers then worry about how to meet your demand.

Who the f*ck care about what the Chinese think. The country is Tibet and what the Tibetans think that is important. If the Tibetans don't think they are Chinese and want to be able to run their own country, who the fu*k is the Chinese to tell them how to live their lives. Stop making excuses like they are savageries before the Chinese came, or how the monks enslaved their people, so what, if that is how the ordinary Tibetans want to live, leave them alone. I think the world needs to start standing up and kick the Chinese asses.

Do you know what the Chinese word for America is? It's direct translation is "beautiful country."

Keith. You are as much of a sheep as the people you deride on your blog. You just happen to be on the right side regarding the housing fiasco.

If you want to argue your case about hating the Chinese govt, then you should at least respond to the critics that say that the Tibetan monks' barbaric rule. Also, what good is a boycott of Chinese products? It's funny that China is becoming more free market and freedom oriented, while America is going towards socialism. One day it's going to be completely reversed and you'll still be pumping the "hate China" slogan.

China does not have some kind of inherent hatred of the U.S. It's the exact opposite really. They, like every other country in the world, hate it when the U.S. bothers in their internal affairs.

There is a big difference between the US and China you idiot, do you see the US claiming Iraq is the 51st state of the union?
