Think this realtor jerk changes his demeanor during the downturn?

I can't understand anything and the part I did understand made it look like the "buyer" was a little strange.

And for some reason Mr. Costanza, there is a running tape recorder in your briefcase????

From what I can understand is the buyer wrote an offer and presented it to the sales rep. In the offer were things the builder will not do and do not do so the agent told the buyer the terms the builder would accept. In the offer was a 15K cash back (not towards closing costs) to the buyer. The buyer wrote an offer that is against the law.

realtor sure seemed smarmy and the buyer sure seemed smarmy and the whole thing sure seemed smarmy

just like 2002 - 2005!

Sorry but the buyer is the scumbag in this one. He sounds like some weekend seminar flipper trying to pull one on the builder. Then he tries to play dumb when the rep questions the changes in the offer. What a joke!

What's your point Keith? The rep is being reasonable and direct. The "buyer" sounds like an idiot.

what is going on in that video, seems like some recent immigrant who has no idea how to purchase a house.

Yeah, I would be pissed at the buyer too for trying to pull that crap.

I think this "buyer" tried to pull a fast one by sneaking things into the contract and got busted. Then he tried to get the realtor to same something racial no film like "why are you people like that". Then he would have gone after the realtor as a "racist".

I think this "buyer" is the ultimate scammer and I take my hat off to the realtor. He handled himself better than I would have.

The buyer comes off as a carny. Just look at that filthy shirt cuff and his string of lame denials - I'd bet a month's pay he's got a police record as long as your arm.

My guess is he was taping the encounter to see if he could get some evidence for a discrimination complaint against the builder or RE agent. Typical shakedown tactic.

get used to it.

Yep, buyers a dirtbag for sure. Trying to run a scam & gets busted. Then he's trolling for a lawsuit or blackmail ... but that didn't pan out either.

Sorry Keith, but you picked a poor video to demostrated how evil real estate agents are. The agent in this video stands his ground against an apparent con man. It appears from the video that on a previous occassion, this "buyer" purposely dropped the sales contract on the floor and then inserted several "schedules" benefitting himself, such as a $15,000 reimbursement and a granite countertop. The buyer tried to pull a fast one and gets caught. Real estates agents in general are scum. The agent in this video however needed to be a confrontational prick to deal with this scammer.

The buyer is pullling a fast one. So F-ing what? How many times have I heard stories of brokers changing the interest rate on a sale at the last minute using some bullshit excuse because he knows the buyer is already emotionally atached to the house and is oging to sign anyway. About time the buyers start pulling the bait and switch on the, I say fuck them all. good or bad.
