Looks like John McCain needs a good defense contractor to make an offer on his unsaleable Phoenix house

Already cut the price $500,000, needs a bit of a "hand" if ya know what I mean. Come Boeing, come on Martin, come on Northrop! Help this guy out, as he sure helped you out!

Looks like there's been some chatter in the halls of DC about the bubble implosion and future prospects. I'd like to see a list of every member of Congress and whether their homes are for sale - anyone wanna do that grunt work?

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., tests the declining real estate market as he tries to sell his recently price-reduced $3.75 million Phoenix mansion.

The 11,000 square foot estate, with its nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms — and eight surveillance cameras — has been on the market for three months.

Only six prospective buyers have checked it out, the Arizona Republic says. That led to a half-million-dollar price cut.

McCain was part of the Keating 5... he is no stranger to bank failures.

It's difficult to sell because most of the rooms are padded.

He is no straight shooter if he ever was one.

I have lost my respect for McCain when I saw him licking religious rights a$$.

He is just another whore policician who would sell himself to the highest bidder.

I agree, he is no good. And I doubt Boeing would help him much after he nixed the air refueller lease deal.

Absolutely no house in Phoenix is worth $3.75

I don't think any house in Phoenix is worth 1 million, for a million you can live in Newport Beach, not some hot, stinky oven with 50k unwanted, not needed, should never have been built crap boxes.

He wants to sell and get the heck out of AZ before his immigration policy becomes law. Bettter drop the price about 2.5 mil more.

HE'S A REPUBLICAN. Golly Gee Wiz.......I would have never thought that he wasn't honest. Duhhh......

Let's not forget Traitor McCain's position on illegal immigration: amnesty (or make that "amnestia") for 12 million illegals. Maybe a few families could squat in his house. Then he'd know what other Americans have to deal with.

"I'd rather be right than President" is a quote attributed to Henry Clay. In our era too many would rather be president. They get close to becoming president and then wimp out by trying to be all things to all people. McCain's lovefest with the religious right is just the latest example, but maybe the first for a Republican in some time. Think Kerry, Al Gore, Hubert Humphrey.

The cons like to trot out fake issues like flag burning and gay marriage when there's an election coming up. I guess the idea is to distract the Homer Simpsons and Joe Sixpacks in the flyover states from how badly the corrupt and incompetent GOP-controlled government has been running the country into the ground, and get the sheeple to vote against their own best interests...

Ha, great story. Keep us informed if someone suddenly steps up and pays above asking!

I agree with panicearly about McCain caving when Bu$hco slimed him in 2000. What did they have on him? He talks well and seems intelligent, unlike Bu$hco's mascot. Although, he did pander to the religious right, I think that is the repuglicans' core constituency now, so all of them probably will.
