Open thread: And then there were five: Romney, McCain, Obama, Clinton and Bloomberg

The next president of the US as stated here previously will be either:

1) John McCain
2) Mitt Romney
3) Barack Obama
4) Hillary Clinton
5) Michael Bloomberg

So who do you support and why, who do you NOT want to win the most, who do you think is gonna win it, and how do you see it playing out from here?

But oh, what a mess the eventual winner will have on his or her hands, thanks to The Worst President Ever, and some really stupid decision making by the majority of US voters these past few years. The good news is that I'd imagine any of these five will be an improvement. Otherwise we're really in for it.

Watch this video of Hagel from Sunday all but announcing he's running, with Michael Bloomberg on an Independent ticket.

Hagel is one of the only anti-war Republicans (so far), and has military experience. He also recognizes that the current Republican party is a joke and nothing to do with Ronald Reagan.

Bloomberg has $5.5 billion in the bank and could easily outspend the Dem or Rep candidate. He also has a track record of successful businessman and successful big-city mayor.

So, knowing that Ron Paul is a longshot (although he'll help shape the debate for sure), if your choice next year is

Bloomberg/Hagel

Clinton/Obama

Thompson/Romney

Who gets your vote? And will it matter? (man what a mess on their hands in 09)

And go ahead and play soothsayer - who do you think the 2008 choice will come down to?

Everyone enjoying the presidential race? Everyone understand now why America is in the position it's in today?

To the GOP: You're destroying yourselves. And the economic meltdown will make all of this get even uglier.

If this lady represents the right wing and the Republican party, then their downfall will be even swifter and harsher than the housing crash.

True Republicans should throw her and her ilk over the side of the boat and move on.

And Democrats will hope this nasty lady keeps yapping away. Just like DeLay, Haggard, Foley, etc, she's the gift that keeps on giving to the Dems.

What an ugly race this will be.
