The truth does not matter, Keith. Americans only listen to those who reaffirm their previously held beliefs. That's true on the left as well. But I must say, my long experience as a political junkie is that right wingers, like Frank, live in alternative universe. One in which Obama is not an African American. He is an Arab.

The Republicans will take their gains from this night and use them wisely. They won't be so foolish as to have Palin put under the microscope again. She's scheduled, I think, to hit the right wing talk shows. They'll protect these gains.

The trouble is that independents don't watch Hannity. He's a hyperpartisan liar, as anyone who has not drunk the Kool-Aid knows. So there won't be many new votes coming from that direction.

I thought the moderator was great and completely impartial. The debate was boring, the answers were memorized speeches, but Palin did far better than Democratics predicted and now try to hide by revising history. By tomorrow, tens of millions of Americans will be claiming Biden won because they heard this on NBC, CNBC, CBS, and CNN (all popular with Democrats), or that Palin won because they heard this on FOX (popular with Republicans). Biden should have taken the clean shot he had after the global warming question. As Keith pointed out, if you don't think it's man made that's fine, but why would you spend tax money on reducing emissions?

It was a speech, but Biden scored on the kitchen table thing. Really, McCain is the only one of the four that has never had that experience.

I'd like to see how "diverse" the Palin family is. Both kinds: Country and Western!
