Instead of the GOP disinformation campaign tonight, I suggest you rent 1984. And remember what America used to stand for.

"If the Party could thrust its hand into the past and say this or that even, it never happened—that, surely, was more terrifying than mere torture and death."

"And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed—if all records told the same tale—then the lie passed into history and became truth. 'Who controls the past' ran the Party slogan, 'controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.'"

War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Debt is Prosperity.

Let us then ask ourselves...who controls the vast majority of academia today? That's right boys and girls, its the left and the democrat Party.

Who sides themselves with the likes of Castro, Putin, Kim Jung Mentally-Ill, and Chavez? The left.

Who controls the vast majority of the press? The left.

Wake up.

keith,

The timing of your exit is interesting. I think we will be in the middle total of financial meltdown.

As such, I think you should move on to the bigger picture. Which is, covering all aspects of Amerika going to 3rd world status. We are toast.

So, in that vein, we need to come up with a new blog name for you.

My choice is "Amerika Burning"

Fool me once shame on you.
Fool me twice shame on me.
Why are we so stupid to fall for the Karl Rove politics again?
Why?
I would respect the journalist who is going to ask the tough question. The questions I think Americans need to know.
I see the media gushing over Palins pathetic speech...The media wants exclusive interviews and they will sell the American people soul for it.
Americans..Are you this stupid to fall for this?
Because Karl Rove and the Republicans are betting that you are..If you are this dumb You truly deserve the government you are about to get....
It scares me that the Republicans keep saying "Americans can relate to Palin" Yes, I am sure we can relate to everyone who is running for office about one thing or another....Why aren't Americans demanding answers to questions regarding this women..Reminds me all over again G. Bush and Cheny...
We will see what happens in November.

Keith,
See what happens when History is not properly taught in schools..
History repeats itself.
It will in this case. Americans have had it to good to long.
If we knew our history, and by that I mean not from Fox news and so on. If we knew our history we would be a different country all together. If we really lived by the bible we would be helping the poor and hungry. We would not be a nation of me me me...

I am all for bashing the demopublicans; 'elections' are just a form of crowd control. BUT, I thought this was a Real Estate blog.

He was an embittered atheist, the sort of atheist who does not so much disbelieve in God as personally dislike Him.

So much of left-wing thought is a kind of playing with fire by people who don't even know that fire is hot.

The quickest way of ending a war is to lose it.

We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.

As a recovering Republican, and now Independent, the desperate and pathetically hypocritical Republican candidates and their hate-filled convention, have staunchly convinced me:
OBAMA/BIDEN '08 !!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Is the GOP Convention propaganda?
Yes

Is the Democrat's convention propaganda?
Yes

Is Palin inexperienced?
Yes

Is Obama inexperienced?
Yes

How can people be so critical of their 'opponents' but at the same time so blind to the same things with their 'own team'?

A 'cherry-picked' historical reference may also be used in a legal ploy of establishing a false perception of precedence to justify a new injustice.

The whole truth is a political abstraction.

We are living under an Orwellian style of totalitarianism in the US. A scientific dictatorship.

We live in a society where ignorance reigns and is celebrated and promoted. The media and state schools and programs like "No Child Left Behind" dumb us down with an ever shrinking vocabulary and store of knowledge. Just like the Newspeak Dictionary.

We are under attack by phantom "terrorists", the Al Qaeda, in a perpetual, endless war. Just like the war against Goldstein and the Brotherhood in 1984.

Our Ministry of Truth is the media industrial complex owned and operated by five corporations and heavily influenced by Cointelpro and Project Mockingbird. It is well documented that the Pentagon (The Ministry of Peace) is heavily involved in shaping public opinion via media collusion in all forms of media including the web where they hire bloggers to promote government and military policies.

Of course, most people think this is all crazy talk because they are completely unaware of government programs that shape their world view. They call it conspiracy theory but in the military they call it psychological operations and full spectrum dominance.

We are bombarded with the same kind of double think propaganda that you find in 1984:

"You are either with us or you are with the terrorists"

"Support the troops"
(with the implication that if you do not support the war you are not supporting the troops)

"The Surge is Working"

There is good reason for all of this. It's because the political science of the University of Chicago and Leo Strauss have studied Machiavelli and Orwell in detail. Those people like Wolfowitz and the other Neocon crazies have so much influence today.

The other reason is that it's natural for those in power to propagandize and protect their positions of power. Of course they are going to resort to propaganda programs targeting the taxpayer and paid for by the taxpayer.

"It is not merely that speeches, statistics, and records of every kind must be constantly brought up to date in order to show that the predictions of the Party were in all cases right. It is also that no change of doctrine or in political alignment can ever be admitted."

George Orwell, 1984

How about READING 1984? Or is the average voter that dumbed down that they can't even read anymore?

Anonymous said...

How about some good olde fashioned posts about Lawrence Yun, genius home debtors, or F&F?

Anonymous said...

Why would you suggest people not watch the RNC coverage? How does it serve anyone to only know one side of the issue?

It's a predictable move on your part, though. Only as people age do they gain the maturity and wisdom to listen to both sides and make their own decisions.

I've already read 1984 ... and one things for sure ... you are a hell of a lot closer to living it in your beloved England with security cameras on every corner and roving keystone cops acting as thought police. Seems like a great place for you.

Why don't you come back to the U.S. Keith, and fight for your democratic nominee instead of criticizing America from the most liberal and politically correct country on planet earth. Your democratic registration is still good here.

This blog has descended into a weird place. I'll be back when you come back to the housing crisis.

Even better yet, read the book. The Ministry of Plenty must send out the PPT tonight to prevent further inevitable bleeding on Wall Street. Soon, all Americans will be introduced to the ultimate reality show in which they are the main characters. The meltdown will kill "the Maverick" and hockey mom will be the perfect puppet in chief. We are so screwed...

Watching McCains speech....

Did you notice the protesters? Audience
chant's USA USA USA, to drown them out.
Funny, I didn't see them at Obama's speech.

McCain also supports HOUSING GAMBLERS.
Did you here that one... I about shit a brick when I heard that. Keith will be all over that one....

So now Keith is a philosopher. Sheeeeit, who writes Keith's materials for this blog?

For those complaining that politics doesn't belong on a real estate related blog, think again. How do you think we arrived at this crisis? It was with the assistance of our elected officials. The real estate/mortgage/finance industry was permitted to run-amok by our elected officials and the regulators that they put in place to check corruption. However we know that our economy is on the verge of a systemic collapse because of the greed that when unchecked. Keep bringing on Keith.

Disinformation is all around all the time. It really is up to the individual to be aware of it where and when it occurs. It requires practicing the lost art of critical thought and analysis - if you are allowed to. If you end up in a place where the Thought Police make sure you are not allowed to do this, that is the sign you are living in a true Orwellian state.

George Bush learned from us.

We are part of the master plan.

I have completed my education.

Yours will begin without you knowing it.
