People don't write inspirational songs about John McCain and the Republicans. Why is that?

The world is rooting against John McCain. And hoping America finally pulls its head out of its ass after eight of the darkest years in American history.

Should be an interesting week next week.

This race is over folks, and the Great Housing Crash guaranteed that.

The GOP after it's destruction this election should get back to its libertarian roots, dump the religious and Big Brother crap, and reposition itself as a fiscally competent, pro-small-business, pro-science, pro-environment opposition party against out of control government meddling and spending. And offer up Reagan's hopeful shining city on a hill, not Bush and McCain's force of mean-spirited ignorance and destruction.

Until then, they'll rightly lose every election.

Badly.

And now, here's some pompous celebrities for your viewing pleasure

I don't think the GOP will loose this election. Americans are stupid enough to vote for this scum again. Actually I hope they do. This wreck of a country needs to crash and burn.
The funny thing is that most of the lower class is voting for the Republicans. The GOP in turn does everything in their power to keep poor people poor. I like the give and take, first they give the GOP their vote and then they take it up the ass. I guess poor people are poor for a reason 'cos they're stupid.
It's been fun to watch this slow motion train wreck, keep the popcorn coming.

..the same reason you didn't hear inspirational songs about Churchill. He means business. Don't need no washed-up hippies or sappy naive students to sing in the background, thank you.

DUH, you mean like the Democrats???? When does it sink in...party out of power = good; party in power = corrupt...

"The funny thing is that most of the lower class is voting for the Republicans."

Wrong bonehead! The poor and uneducated vote overwhelmingly Democratic. The polling stats in every election for the last 30 years prove this.

"The GOP in turn does everything in their power to keep poor people poor. I like the give and take, first they give the GOP their vote and then they take it up the ass. I guess poor people are poor for a reason 'cos they're stupid."

And they vote for Democrats.

Exactly.

poor blacks vote in near 90% margin for democrats. poor whites vot for republicans in narrower margns. you must know more poor whites or at least be thinking more about the walmart types.

also many of the lower middle class that shop at walmart and vote for republicans with bigger margins aren't the poor according to how its measured. they just look and live poor to you and me.

face it they cling to their guns and religion becasue they are bitter about theri shitty walmart lives. Obama stated the truth with that but of course in america stating the truth is the biggest sin.

OMG you are kidding right? It is a sad day in this country when I am supposed to vote for someone based on how popular they are in Hollywood.

Keith you truly have gone off the deep end buddy. I could tolerate your Obama slant since everything else here was pretty cool. But now I can't distinguish this site from Obama's own web site.

Get back to housing and leave the Obama slobbering for MSNBC, huh?

that waas the stupidest thing i have ever seen.

that video was so airheaded and I'm beginning to appreciate Hillary's comment about Obamists thinking that the 'sky will open up and angels will descend.'

given all the soverign fund investments, I'm thinking that the stockmarket will rally under the next president and some countries will get back what they lost by taking it out of the equity market.

Excellent. Now that you have declared the race over (actually, you may have done that a few posts ago), can we please return to housing?

8 of your last 15 posts have been principally about Obama/McCain, with little or no connection to housing.

It's gotten old, beyond belief.

(Here's a challenge: run a poll on the question whether HPers are interested in more Obama/McCain, the same amount of Obama/McCain, less Obama/McCain, or no Obama/McCain.)

A few things that newbies might not have been able to figure out yet, so here goes:

1) HP is not a housing blog
2) I don't care what people want me to write about. I write about things I find interesting
3) I'm anti-McCain much more than pro-Obama

Peace out

That video was pathetic. All the comments about sappy hippies right on the money.

I'm for McCain(but will write-in Paul); out of the darkest of motive.

We've got an economic comeuppance coming, and the next administration will be this generation's Hoover.

Jeezus Keith. The GOP hasn't been any of that since Dick Nixon sat in the White House.

Every dumb or uneducated person I know votes Republican. Every educated person I know votes democrat. It is no coincidence that "blue" states rank higher than "red" states in terms of educational quality.

yes you do, when you listen to rap. it's all about getting money, bling, fancy houses, tricked out cars, avoiding the law, screw the havenots, let em eat cake (my all time favorite), blame the minorities (blacks)for not joining in on all the reindeer games (never mind that you use them to make people not look at what evil shit you are doing). I don't see a wits difference between a republican and a racist redneck yahoo from mississippi (think poor Virgil Tibbs being told you in mississippi now boy) There are lots of rap songs loving the rich white way of life, just listen a little more closely and you'll hear the dream of getting some of it.

The only reason I was coming here was becasue I thought it was housing blog. THis is juvenile crap from the 60's drugs and sex culture.

I am outaa here...

This is such emotional drivel. What a waste of my valuable time. This feel-good approach to Obama will blow up in everyone's face if he gets elected and those same people will vote for Hillary in 2012. What a joke.

Besides, McCain will take the election. Obama has peaked.

The economy will collapse, a wider war in the Middle East is inevitable. But not to worry, according to the Mayan calendar the world as we know it will cease to exist on December 21, 2012 right after Hillary gets elected, but before she takes office.

It is going to be a fun 4 years. Buckle up.

Probably because McCain isn't using the brainwash cult-marketing tactics that Obamessiah and his minions are using on people.

Every dumb or uneducated person I know votes Republican. Every educated person I know votes democrat. It is no coincidence that "blue" states rank higher than "red" states in terms of educational quality.

First rule of business: The A students wind up working for the C students.

This has been true for so long and probably always will be.

Read the bio of any successful millionaire entrepreneur if you doubt this. His employees making $80k a year will all be college-grad A students.

The "educated" elites are fundamentally lazy. They went from the sanctuary of home to the sanctuary of school to the sanctuary and protection of a job.

Those of us with balls and ambition left the sanctuary and made something of ourselves.

Uh, hate to contradict your main point, Keith, but country singer John Rich has written a song in support of McCain:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmKgITJejfg

Besides, what a silly point: as if support from a bunch of actors/musicians/singers matters in the least during the political process, at least to any voter who has anything larger than a reptilian brain inside their skull.

Oh, PS: let's not get into a, 'my star's bigger than your star' thing. Pointless....

I disagree with those who want Americans to commit seppuku by voting Republican; do you also want your children to run out into a busy street?

It's time to take the matches away from the children... include a current events quiz on each ballot and weight the votes by % correct.

Here's a suggestion: HOPE in one hand, shit in the other and see which fills faster.

'Bama/Biden won't do anything to "change" the current status, except to RAISE taxes, expand government spending, entitlements, and drive us further into turd world status.

If you truly have libertarian roots, what the F*CK are you rooting for Obama for? If the the fact that you hate the GOp so very much that you'd rather cause even more damage by electing that clown?

McCain was very much not my first choice and still isn't, but he still beats the shit out of Obama.

"Every dumb or uneducated person I know votes Republican. Every educated person I know votes democrat. "

Your anecdotal observations (which you are probably making up anyway) and scientific studies are two different things. If you were educated you'd know that you stupid idiot!

"It is no coincidence that "blue" states rank higher than "red" states in terms of educational quality."

Right! That's why California public schools are amoung the worst in the country. You Dumb ass!

um, there aren't any songs written about republicans because republican voters have jobs and a life.

and with that statement you show just how dumb blue voters are.

education !== intelligence

The educated idiots of the blue party never cease to amaze me with their display of stupidity, ignorance, bigotry, and intolerance.

Geez, Keith, i hope you have fun with your obama blog.

I'm out of here.

Great video/ad for Obama. The 60's are back! I had feared that the era of social conscience and realistic optimism (yes we can!) was dead, but here it is again - revived and renewed for those of us enlightened enough to see and believe. Obama/Biden will win in November. The dark days will soon be over. Let the good times roll!

Hey Cletus. Check exit polls from 2000 and 20004. People without college degrees voted Kerry/Gore.

People with college degrees voted Bush both times.

Sorry to rain on your ignorant parade.
