HousingPANIC Quote of the Day

"I am sick and tired of the president of the United States embarrassing me"

- Jack Cafferty, CNN, August 2008

Side note - I'm sick and tired of having an intellectually stunted dumb guy as president

But wait America, there's one more on the way...

John McCain graduated 894th in a class of 899 at the Naval Academy at Annapolis. His father and grandfather were four star admirals in the Navy. Some have suggested that might have played a role in McCain being admitted. His academic record was awful. And it shows over and over again whenever McCain is called upon to think on his feet.

I'm sick and tired of demoRATS taking 40% of my income and pissing it away.

I'm tired of having trillions of potential barrels of oil on US soil that isn't being tapped because a molusc might be hurt.

I'm sick and tired of fighting a PC war where the enemy has more rights than US soldiers.

I'm sick and tired of being painted as the devil by the media for having been born a white, non-homosexual male.

And your point is...

Hey Keith,

More to the point, the guy got to fly planes which were only for those who graduated in the top 3rd of the class. This guy was a spoiled brat! Not only that but he got shot down by an outmoded missile which means he was a bad pilot as well. Maybe he should pay us back for the downed plane?

HA HA! I'm loving this. The liberals are scared, very scared. After Hussein's performance at Saddbleback they realize what a colossally unwise choice they made.

Obama had a 10 point lead 2 months ago. Now it's tied and McCain has the momentum. And little Qweefie and Jack McCaffrey are running scared.

I am so loving it.

Only an idiot quotes national presidential polls in August

Also, ever hear of the electoral college?

Obama in a landslide. If you disagree, go put money on McCain at Intrade, you'll make a killing

McCain is ahead in the electoral college based on state by state polls too.

Happy now?

You liberals are freaking out, and it is a beautiful thing to see. Obamamania is a thing of the past. The emperor has no clothes and the party is over.

Can you say a 40 state win in November?

Meanwhile, wait for Obama's post-convention bump. Oh, won't that be fun.

And won't the GOP convention be fun too? Where's Bush? Where's Cheney? Where's Gonzo? Where's Rummy? What will they do to pretend the past eight horrific years didn't happen?

Also, go back to the gist of this post - dumb guys as president. Even you hard-core GOP'ers should want a smart guy as president, right?

Or do dumb people want dumb presidents?

Please, America, no more dumb guys. Please. No more dumb guys.

Anonymous said...

Oh man the liberals are a broken record. First republicans are racist. When that doesn't work, the next tactic is republicans are going to throw old ladies out on the street. When that doesn't work, the next tactic is republicans are dumb guys.

The real dumb guys are democrat strategists and their supporters. You tried that in 1980 and 1984 when Reagan was the dumb old guy,yet you lost in 2 landslides. You tried it in 1988 when Dukakis was the super duper smart guy and lost, what was it, 48 states? And of course in 2000 and 2004, you tried that and lost both times.

I believe the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result each time. So really, democrats aren't stupid, just mentally imbalanced.

Liberal. Mental. Disease. End of story.

Oh and PS, Obama "the smart guy" went to Rev.Wright's church for 20 years and was shocked to learn Wright held some out-there views. You'd think a smart guy would have figured that out a little sooner, like maybe after 10 minutes.

Good call, Keith. Oh, wait ...

McCain takes 5-point lead over Obama-Reuters poll

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - In a sharp turnaround, Republican John McCain has opened a 5-point lead on Democrat Barack Obama in the U.S. presidential race and is seen as a stronger manager of the economy, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.

McCain leads Obama among likely U.S. voters by 46 percent to 41 percent, wiping out Obama's solid 7-point advantage in July and taking his first lead in the monthly Reuters/Zogby poll.

This is crazy. Barrack Hussein Obama (peace be upon him) should be up by 20 points with the fawning press coverage and a recessionary economy. Previous Democratic candidates have had solid leads going into the conventions.

For BHO (peace be upon him) to be trailing at this point is stunning, shocking, and absolutely beautiful.

In case you missed it Keith, McCain clobbered Obama in the debate Saturday night.

I can't tell you how relieved I was to see him speaking quick and lucidly for the first time in months. I actually think he's been faking a Bush speech impediment.

And now I think this too. He's been pretending that he forgot how to read a teleprompter.

Video from 2004 Convention.

He he hits a speech like this at the convention, and again roughs Mr. O up in a few debates, this thing is over.

Keith,

Thanks for your wit and wisdom (and wise cracks).

Based on some of the comments coming in, especially from anonymous posters, I'd say we're definitely still in the DENIAL phase on many fronts.

This will be a hard landing for many . . . some may NEVER come to grips with reality.

Arguing about which one is better based on intelligence isn't the way to go because neither of the two major candidates is especially bright.

No matter which of these two wins its a given he will not be a brain surgeon. Character and experience are the criteria we need to use to determine who the better one will be. McCain has the advantage on both and thats why he will win.

Ron Paul was unquestionably far and away the most intelligent of the candidates on both sides. Unfortunately, he didn't make it.

Neither could win a Presidential election.

Intelligence is nice, unless it is used as a weapon, or crutch. St. Barry is probably pretty smart, although there is little indication of it based on history.

He can't speak extemporaneously- take away the speech and the teleprompter, and he is reduced to slinging insults at the people he is applying to work for.

He has thin skin- if you insult the man, you are a racist. Question is, what is he going to do when a black leader insults him? Will he collapse in a heap, like he does now?

He has no plans- He is oh-so-smart, but all he can give us is "hope" and "change". When are realistic plans coming?

Sorry to say it, but he might be a case where he is too smart for his own good. He's so smart that he doesn't even believe his own crap.

Sure, Johnny Boy isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but maybe he can get some of those "smart" guys to work for him and keep him from his own socialist tendencies.

"I'm sick and tired of demoRATS taking 40% of my income and pissing it away."

But, my friend, you don't mind when some corporation offshores an entire company and bankrupts a town? You don't mind when the Republican loveboys spend 100 BILLION dollars on private contractors in Iraq! American soldiers can't get benefits but Blackwater is living high on the hog.

Where's the outrage on that?

Many, not all, but many of the Republicans who post here can't seem to get pass a simple black/white view of the world. They also can't get pass the fact that their view is hopelessly outdated.

Folks, the Republican AND Democratic Parties have sold out the American people. There are individuals within each Party that are trying to fight the good fight for the American people. But most Party members are just tools.

If you think the Republican Party represents Joe Six-Pack, you are a complete fool. If you think the Democrats are better, you are naive. Reagan was successful in getting the govt. off our backs, he just replaced it with the corporation. The corporation has its fist completely up our ass and it's choking us to death.

Balance my friends. That's what we need. That's what our founding fathers intended. Over the last 35 years we have fallen off the balance beam. Time to get back on track. There are appropriate roles for government and free enterprise in our Republic.

Now, who best to do it? McCain or Obama. No mas, no mas.

The incredible disaster our country is currently in requires our next President to be someone with intelligence, patience, imagination, toughness, the abililty to persuade, inspire, build strong, capable teams, work successfully with others.

Folks, Obama has got the skills and temperment, and if you can't see that, you're just fooling yourself. Think about this for a moment. Here's a black guy, the first in HISTORY to reach this position. Now tell me, what kind of skills does he have to have done that?

No one, I mean no can say this was given to him. NO ONE. He has earned it and demonstrated he can get the job done. We are going to need all those skills and more to get through the disaster that surrounds us.

My fellow HPers, it's up to you.

Obama 08.

"I'm sick and tired of demoRATS taking 40% of my income and pissing it away."

You really got it, bravo!

While there may be a few structural spending problems in the US, the main problem is the lack of income to balance it. Military, medicine, farms and earmarks could be more efficient or smaller - but then there is the debt on the social security (held in check only by inflation stats manipulation) and infrastructure side over the last years. Not much room to cut on the spending side total.

You know it really doesn't matter whether you raise taxes or lower them to the rest of the world. The time of externalizing the cost is over - the world just lowers the exchange rate or raises interest rates to compensate for deficits and you pay through inflation.

You need a proof? Read the news - the time where president or congress can summon two bankrupt quasi govermental organizations to dish out money from nowhere are over for good. Refinancing costs for Fannie and Fredie went through the roof and force morgage rates higher (except you were lucky and have your old ones tied to the Fed - but those are history).

Sitting in Europe and seeing how much wealth I'm loosing without having had the upside of the boom I can only encourage you elect a dumb person. It is not your president it is your bankrupcy lawyer. The dumber your lawyer, the better for me allowing me to recover at least some losses.

Who cares about McCain's class ranking? I mean Gore got straight F's in law school and had basically dropped out even though the Dean offered the guy a way out with a measly term paper (talk about grade inflation).

If anything, all it says is that there were probably a lot of hard working students at Annapolis (which is a fact, BTW) and so that a regular "legacy-admit" student wouldn't automatically get a Gentleman's "C" (like Gore and Bush) just for doing the maintenance level of work to pass through.

And finally, as for Mr "Ivy League" Obama, recently, we'd laid off a slew of Harvard, Columbia, and Duke grads because they were actively padding their resumes and not delivering the goods. Not all Columbia educated grads are like Alexander Hamilton or Admiral Rickover, some are duds.
