Hmmm... looks like the easy money from desperate builders is still out there. Got $399? Even you can catch a falling knife!

Look no farther.

Here's McCains' Vice President.

Right age group, Right hair color and real estate promoter.

Perfect.

Just like the Keating-McCain Five...

Holy Shit the Left Wing Gestapo pulled that Thomas Friedman clip form youtube already.

I guess we have to remember that 2008 is the Year of the Obots. Their heads are stuffed with New Age superstitions like an old couch. They seem to be deathly afraid of honest ideas and hard facts. I can't see any skepticism, any discussion, any open minds - just followers following other followers.

WOW! only $3.99!

I think buying a taco bell chalupa would be a better investment when you factor in the free 'gas'.

Keith, on the way to the Torrance (Los Angeles County) Farmers Market this morning I saw a fresh crop of signs off the Crenshaw freeway exit promising "No Money Down" on a new home.

Obviously the cure for this alcoholic binge has been to imbibe more alcohol. This is why I am so bearish. Any "bottom" on the horizon over the next two years looks like the eye of the hurricane, the pause to enjoy the view before the car goes completely over the cliff.

There's nothing wrong with Tom Friedman that a good pie in the face won't cure.

Oh well, so much for free speech.

$399 a month huh?

I'm sure it's true....it's true that it's too good to be true.

I'd never fall for it.

Wow, munster, you got badly outclassed there in writing style (you and the next post). I don't think you're ready for the double black diamond slopes of Housing Panic.

My advice to you, find a gentler playground to frequent. Spend a couple few, maybe five years there, then give it another go. And keep your head up champ!

we should all give him a call and ask him where we can send him a pack of ramen.

Honestly, why would anyone buy a house just now?

If it sounds too good to be true... IT IS!

It's probably an FHA loan with an Ameridream Grant.
The builder is paying 3% of the purchase price into the Grant Program + $500 plus the closing costs which average $3,000.
The builder is just hiding all these costs in the purchase price.

Nothing like starting out with a depreciating home and then they add an additional $10,000 onto that.

Someone explain this, I have read several financial articles by assumed reputable economic reporters claiming that housing builders are the place where the supposed big money kings will move their billions when the oil bubble really truly, finally for the real time bursts. Do they really believe that, and do they really expect us to believe that?

Once you move in then we take your balls! Sucka's

Can you move into your new house, and still get liens slapped on your property from subcontractors after the builder declares bankruptcy? Yes, you can.

Tom Adkins thinks this is a fantastic play. Buy now!!!

Beach property does - and will continue - to drop in price. Take a drive south and look along the coast as you drive down PCH ... the same is happening here, and it will only get far worse.

Housing should have never become speculative.
