Ah, the brilliance of the GOP smear machine. Don't let truth get in the way of scoring points. Taking Americans for suckers, again and again

Actual modest and patriotic Obama quote:

"It has become increasingly clear in my travel, the campaign -- that the crowds, the enthusiasm, 200,000 people in Berlin, is not about me at all. It's about America. I have just become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions"

How Karl Rove and the GOP machine made it spin-ready before spoon feeding it to Sean Hannity and pals, as they seek to portray a young black man brought up by a mother on food stamps as "elitist" and "arrogant", a possible Antichrist:

"I have become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions"

Keith

I bet this won't get past your rigorous post screening for Omama threads.

You are an Obamabot.

Obama called his grandmother "typically white".

Obama didn't put his hand on his heart for the National Anthem.

Obama publically bragged about not wearing an American Flag pin.

Obama decided to paint over the existing American Flag on his world victory tour and not replace it.

Obama, assuming privacy, told millionaire San Francisco liberals that middle Americans "cling to their guns and religion".

Obama said Americans should learn to speak Spanish.

Obama refused to visit American Soldiers in the hospital because he would have to go alone.

Obama chose his hateful and racist and Anti-American Minister and Obama called him and "uncle" and a "spiritual adviser".

Obama brags on YouTube about having his daughter memorize the lyrics of the disgusting Pornographic, profane, misogynistic Rap Song Drop It Like Its Hot.

I could go on and on but I won't waste too much time because you probably will not post this.

Truth is all of these actions have nothing to do with any GOP spear campaign or a vast right wing conspiracy that you and Hillary apparently believe exits.

Obama is doing a wonderful job smearing himself.

Peace Keith and God Bless America.

Yeah, well here's another of the best-and-brightest DEMOCRATIC Senators responding to my personal e-mail of outrage over the latest friends of Bushco-Cheneyburton bailout.

Read it and weep. We are so fucked.

to wit: (apologies for length)

I have received your letter expressing concern about home mortgages issued to Senators Christopher J. Dodd (D-CT) and Kent Conrad (D-ND). Please know that I am deeply troubled by allegations of impropriety by Members of Congress and their staff.

As you know, Senators Conrad and Dodd were both customers of Countrywide Financial. Following revelations that Countrywide had extended them reduced interest rates on their mortgages, the Senate Ethics Committee began an investigation to determine their propriety. Senator Conrad has since taken the step of refinancing his mortgage and donating any alleged financial benefits to charity. Senator Dodd has also cancelled his loans with Countrywide.

You may be interested to know that Senators Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and John Cornyn (R-TX), Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Ethics Committee, introduced an amendment to the Foreclosure Prevention Act (H.R. 3221) that would require Senators to fully disclose the terms of their home mortgages. However, this amendment was not included in the final bill passed by the Senate. Please know that I will continue to advocate for stronger financial disclosure requirements for Members of Congress.

Once again, thank you for writing. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact my Washington, D.C. office at (202) 224-3841. Best regards.
Sincerely yours,

Dianne Feinstein
United States Senator

Are you shitting ME! THey all have to be voted into ancient history in November.

The only thing worse for this country than McCain is Obama.

Obama the Messiah is losing ground quickly.

If McCain had half a brain, he would be way out in front.

As it is, McCain might not survive a presidential term with his medical background and could snap at any moment when torture memories surface.

Obama is Marxism at its evil worst clothed in good oratory skills.

Stalin already proved total wealth redistribution doesn't work and the American Public will not stand for it.

There is no choice in this election and you might as well write in Daffy Duck than vote in one of these dingbats.

Both will open the floodgates to invading hordes from the south, and that alone will hasten the economic implosion we are experiencing.

Either way, Obama or McCain, we lose.

It's funny that Obama has to go to a socialistic country where it's illegal to fire an unproductive employee without government approval to spew his Marxist crap.

He has to leave the United States to get photo ops of people cheering his socialist policies then use that footage to attempt to trick American voters into thinking he's the new Messiah.

Unreal.

The GOP is doing a fine job tearing down Obama. Obama is doing a terrible job tearing down McCain, thinking he can win without it.

We'll see

Meanwhile, we suffer through the BS issues of flag pins and preachers, and don't talk about the real issues facing America.

Reminds me of the days of Willie Horton and Bush the first speaking at a flag factory

Americans are so easily distracted. And now, for all to see, they're paying the price.

Did you just come to the realization that republicans are evil? Where were you when they resorted to blackmail and snitching on a man for cheating on his wife? That's what the subhuman conservative garbage did in the 90s. Where I come from, telling a guy's wife and the world that he cheated will get you killed.

I did notice that you didn't attach your usual "democrats are bad too" disclaimer. Democrats have never sunk to the levels republicans have. Republicans have done severe damage to the psyche of the country with their bullshit.

I tell you, if someone starting rounding up those assholes I wouldn't lift a finger to stop it. Sometimes the only way to stop vermin is to destroy it.

Ahem. Keith you need to do your research (as usual). Al Gore brought up Willie Horton during the Dem primary in 1988.

But why let facts get in the way of a good story eh?

Obama is nothing but an empty suit with meaningless slogans. McCain may be old. He may have a temper and he very well may be senile. Still a better choice than a guy who makes Ted Kennedy look like a right-winger.

Looks like living in Europe, far from the white trash mentality that infects this pisspoor country and this blog, has turned Keith into a liberal of sorts. That's what happens to a lot of people when they manage to remove themselves from the collective ignorance of conservatism and their heads from their asses.

I suggest that you brainstems try it. Go see how a liberal culture functions. Move to a liberal city and see what life is like beyond chain restaurants, strip malls and petty, closed-mindedness.

And remember brainstems, if it weren't for liberalism, all of you would be serfs without indoor plumbing.

Qweefie, you wanna talk issues ok let's do it:

Issue 1. Obama will raise taxes on anything and everyone that moves.

Issue 2. Obama will invade Pakistan (he said so in a debate), will negotiate unconditionally with Iran (he said so in a debate), will recognize Jerusalem as Israel's **undivided** capital (he said so in a speech) and he will also divide Jerusalem (he said so in a speech a day after saying the opposite).

Issue 3. Obama voted against the ban of partial birth abortion. Now I am as pro-choice as the next guy, but I am opposed to this practice. For those of you who dont know that it is, look it up. But before you do, get a barf bag ready.

Issue 4. Obama has said he wants to create a domestic military as large as the existing military. That would mean a new government agency with a $500B a year budget.

Issue 5. Obama is opposed to gun ownership and has said so on numerous occasions.

Not that any of this matters to the brain dead morons out there who chant hope and change. Those are the real sheep. Wake up.

So much for your polls about McCain leading and Obama sinking:

Obama leads McCain nationally in AP-Ipsos poll

WASHINGTON - Solid margins among women, minorities and young voters have powered Barack Obama to a 6 percentage point lead over John McCain in the presidential race, according to a poll released Tuesday.

Obama is ahead of his Republican rival 47 percent to 41 percent, The Associated Press-Ipsos poll showed. The survey was taken after the Democratic senator from Illinois had returned from a trip to Middle Eastern and European capitals, and during a week that saw the two camps clash over which had brought race into a campaign in which Obama is striving to become the first African-American president.

A bit early for either side to be declaring victory.

Will Media Report Concert Before Obama's Berlin Speech?
By Noel Sheppard (Bio | Archive)
July 24, 2008 - 13:38 ET

Remember back in May when media gushed and fawned over a huge crowd in Portland, Oregon -- supposedly gathered to hear the words of Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama -- but chose not to report the free concert given before his speech?

Well, it has been learned that before the presumptive Democrat nominee spoke to a crowd in Berlin Thursday, two popular German acts -- reggae artist Patrice and rock band Reamonn -- entertained the gathering audience.

Will media report this tonight, or just gush and fawn over the huge crowd again?

While you ponder, here's what was reported by Spiegel Online moments ago (h/t Hot Air and Gateway):

++ Pop Concert for Obama Fans ++

6:33 p.m.: The tens of thousands of Obama fans are being entertained as they await the senator. The reggae musician Patrice kicked things off, followed by the rock band Reamonn.

I'm sure this will be part of ALL media reports concerning this speech...not!

Anonymous said...

How many fans do Patrice and Reamon normally get? 200,000? I have no idea, really, but without knowing that your post has zero relevance.

In fact I'm going to go out of my way to vote against hope and change. I'm going to vote for the guy who is going to do his best to maintain the status quo.

Hope and change are for young people, and everyone knows what a feckless lot they are.

Tell you what - for all those people who dislike Obama, vote McCain into office in november.

Then, come back in 4 years and tell us if your life got any better under his administration.

Tell us if you still have a job with a living wage, a house that you haven't lost to foreclosure, or if you have enough money to both eat and put gas in your car. Tell us if your kids managed to get an education that will put them on par with the rest of the industrial world. Tell us how you avoided bankruptcy when you got sick, and had to pay for all of your own healthcare.

If you can tell us that things are better after McCain's first term, then I'll eat my words.

"Everything that moves with an annual income over $250K. I doubt you qualify, so don't worry your tiny head about it."

$250k a year will be minimum wage income at some point during the next decade. Remember, back in 1971, a $10k life insurance was a huge life insurance . . . enough to buy a nice house in the suburbs or a flat in Manhatten outright with the money! Yes, that's how progressive income tax works: set a line that pits the majority against "the rich," then soon enough with inflation the trap snags pretty much every one.

Also, please explain to me why taking money away from a doctor or a small business owner, launder the money through Washington DC, Bagdad, and etc., sprinkle parts of it on the unemployed on welfare, parts on bombing Iraqis then giving them money to build bombs so they can bomb us some more to justify us bombing them, much of it lost in paper pushing and giving to favored contracts . . . why is all that better than letting the doctor or the small business owner use the money to hire someone directly in the local area? so that unemployed person would have a job to begin with? Oh, I get it, there wouldn't be thousands of abject poor having their lives destroyed by government policies looking to Washington DC for help. It's all part and parcel of the "nation-building" exercise, right?

Bitterrenter,

"And remember brainstems, if it weren't for liberalism, all of you would be serfs without indoor plumbing."

Classical Liberalism, which lifted western civilization out of serfdom, is a very different philosophy from your big authority-worshipping "liberalism." In fact, your belief that society can not function without a government Leviathan was the defense Thomas Hobbes gave in defense of feudal serfdom. Real Liberalism starts with the firm belief that the individuals can interact with other individuals without everyone being compelled to be serfs of the Leviathan state first.

Indoor plumbing existed over 5000 years ago in a Harappa civilization (in the Indus Valley). It was an urbanized civilization built on free trade. It was destroyed by maurauding "Aryans" (Vedics, "Iranians," and what became northern Indians later) on chariots about 4000-3500 years ago. Indoor plumbing then re-emerged in Roman time 2000+ years ago, when trade was flourishing in the "known world." Roman civilization was eventually destroyed by high taxation and inflation that eventually led to invasion by a different band of marauding "Aryans" (Visigoth, Vandals, etc. mostly Frankish and German tribes). The next, and latest, reinvention of indoor plumbing came during Elizabethan England, which was in the early stages of rapidly becoming a global trading power house. It did not become common place in the West until late 19th century and early 20th century, as an ammenity offered by competing developers. We shall see how this ammenity gets buried this time. When they reached the German and Austrian proper, the invading soviet soldiers were reputed to be so impressed by toilets that they yanked them off the bases in order to keep them as part of their loots. I guess the big government in SU did not acquaint their people with how toilets worked despite their supposed rapid industrialization.

If the government's goal was to put a temporary floor under financial stocks, the SEC's move to restrict "naked shorting" of related stocks had its desired effect. The 19 stocks (not 17, as I say in the video) targeted by the SEC rose an average of 12% on Wednesday, the WSJ reports, and the financials were higher again midday Thursday.

But the law of unintended consequence applies here, too. Unintentionally (one presumes), the government also sent a message that America's commitment to free market capitalism is conditional, i.e., only when the markets are moving higher.

Hmmm...age 5? Don't you think that you're pushing it a bit? I actually don't mind when older scumbags gun each other down. That saves hardworking and honest taxpayers a lot of money in incarceration and processing. Let them exterminate each other.

Geez, you ultraliberal freaks love to tear a fetus into pieces as birth control because it's so difficult to buy a condom or take a pill with a glass of water, but when thugs gun each other down you make a scandal, you cry like little girls.

Eventually some of you Birkenstock- code-monkey fools will move out of the mommy's basement (or as you call it, "The Command Center") to start a family of granola bar-enthusiasts. Then a couple of crackhead thugs will break in to sack your place and have a hot date with your daughter or wife. That's when you'll miss having a reliable Glock to cap their a$$es.

Some countries in Europe can get by without guns because they don't have the class of thugs that the Democratic party likes to import into our country to give a citizenship. Just look at all the gang activity in California alone. Does Germany have Mexican gangs, Salvadorian gangs, Bloods, Crips, MS-13, Latin Kings gang, etc? Let me remind you that Germany is the size of Montana. Do you really think that Obama or the Democratic party will ever clean all this $hit up? Dream on, thugs are here to stay and they can get guns, with or without restrictions.

I talk from experience because I already caught a robber inside my mom's house, when I was a teen, and had to literally fight my way out to call a neighbor who had a gun. We didn't live in a ghetto area either. It happens more often than you think.

Tons of narcotics and millions of illegals sneak through the Mexican border. What make you think that weapons won't find the same route, if gun restrictions are imposed by your stupid Messiah?

I think I have a solution. People who are American in spirit and heart can stay. People who hate America, follow St. Barry to the promised land of France, or Iran, or wherever the hell else they want to go. St. Barry will provide for all of you, and we will provide for ourselves.

My disgust with the right wing-nuts out there grows everyday... I swear I want to puke when I read all the ridiculous bullshit spewed on the this blog. I don't even want to be part of this nation if it means we’re both Americans.

Would love to know the average IQ of a Fox “News” viewer - guaranteed it's under 100 – GUARANTEED.

The latest spin is that it's congress's fault; democratic congress's fault. The fact is, the GOP had its chance, and has ruined this country making me embarrassed to be a citizen. I no longer identify myself as an American as it's just too painful.

Obama is the last chance to make it right. To show that America isn't the land of the ignorant. I am so afraid he's going to lose making it 4-8 more years of shame.

"Geez, you ultraliberal freaks love to tear a fetus into pieces as birth control because it's so difficult to buy a condom or take a pill with a glass of water, but when thugs gun each other down you make a scandal, you cry like little girls."

Uh, anonymous, please get some counseling, you have some issues and pretty bizarre perception and anger problems.

I have to say, all the criticisms I see here directed at Obama are usually of the generic "he is a socialist!" variety. You need to just think a little bit people! The truth is, he has disappointed the far left because they think he is not left enough! Through the whole primary season he was consistently moderate compared to hillary. I am not saying he is as moderate as moderate gets, that is not my point! My point is during the primary he was running as a
m-o-d-e-r-a-t-e! Now, really, what does that mean? Aren't politicians normally supposed to run on the extreme right/left during the primaries, only to emerge during the general campaign as running in the middle? I truly wonder if the people who throw terms like 'marxism' or 'socialist' around truly know what they are talking about. Really I doubt it, they are more likely parroting their favorite radio talk show hosts and do not know what to think about any given issue until limbaugh/savage/hannity has given them an opinion to take on as if it were there own. Further, even if he were a socialist (if you know what it means to be socialist), can you explain how, as per the issues America faces today, that would be a bad thing? Can you offer any criticisms of obama of substance? I know I can! I doubt the redneck, toothless, ignorant, racist fucks among you here can but please, try...

The GOP goes negative because it works for them. Conservatives thrive on fear, hatred and anger. Dangle something to fear and hate in front of them, and they turn out in droves. Just listen to them in the comments here: they are actually proud of themselves for being led by the nose. They can't parrot those talking points and the false smear emails they receive fast enough.

A negative strategy doesn't work for Democrats because liberals don't respond to attacks as a substitute for issues. Hatred and fear are a turn off, and it would never occur to them that a candidate's middle name was important enough to repeat it over and over as if it means something sinister.

Which kind do I want running this country? Gee, I'll have to take some time to think about that. NOT.

"...the Democrat majority has been spending the money and voting with Bushco all along. You people are bizarre; you act like it didn't happen..."

Of course it did.

And when asked what to do about it...

NOTHING BUT {crickets}

Not to worry; a whole lot of people realize what WILL HAPPEN: massive inflation.

I'm beginning to think Bitterrenter and Tobasco are either the same person

========================

I've thought the same. He/she is a sad pathetic person with too much time. No wonder he/she is bitter at the world. I would be too if I lived such a sad life.

MC CAIN IS CLEARLY A BLITHERING IDIOT! Today after watching how unprepared he was at STURGIS MOTORCYCLE RALLY offering Cindy, his wife to be in the MISS BUFFALO CHIP BEAUTY CONTEST. He didn't even bother to ask or find out that it is actually a TITTY CONTEST! He actually thought he was like ONE OF THE GUYS

Then his Paris Hilton reference gets completely thrown in his face after Paris parody youtube which is all over the media now.

Do all you racist idiots really want McCain over Obama? Obama is highly intelligent he cant be stumped. I dont think Obama would offer Michelle unknowingly to be in a nude contest.

What works in Europe, won't work in the USA. The USA is Social Darwinism at it's best or worse...sink or swim.

America has no collective consciousness or culture, beyond survival. No identity beyond greed.

I didn't understand why poor Whites vote against their own economic interest. Why do they defend Big Oil, Wall Street, and continue to vote for Republican elite. Until one day a poor White explained that they knew they'd never be rich, never attain status or power, but at least by voting Republican no one else would either!

Think About IT!

You people are the problem...not the solution!
