And then a few people in America stood up and tried to do something about it. Please check out Fed Up USA (fedupusa.org)

Protest today in Washington DC, led by Karl Denninger

All I can say is bravo. Bravo. Wish I could be there myself.

keith, the only way it will make a difference is when 1 million white men march. then they will notice. until then, they will ignore you. this activity made these people feel well but what did it accomplish? nothing. abolutely nothing. our country was founded when men decided they had had enough and used extreme violence to accomplish their goals. this is the only thing that is really understood. for you see, we fight ourselves really. men in one place control other men. in order for these men to control us, we must abide by their rules. this we do. until we stop abiding by their rules, then we will always be their servants. the founding fathers knew about all of this because they came from it. they saw it for what it is and they knew the beast like no one else. they were men, of vision , way ahead of their time. they knew what we were up against. they did the best they could. now if they were able to be alive for a few days here now, i wonder what they would think we have done to this country. no keith, there will be no change unless we take it upon ourselves to make the change happen by extreme force. in the first revolution, maybe a few percent of the men stood up. it could be that way again. but where are the good men willing to sacrifice their all for a country that is dying. where are they now? i know they are out there. i feel it. by the way, due to lack of citizenship that has been shown by us for the last hundred years or so, thanks to the previous generations, we can look forward to at least a hundred years of war here to accomplish any meaningful change. it will be dirty, cruel and bloody. but it can be done. it will require the sacrifice of at least two generations. in chechnya right now, the chechnyans have stated that they are prepared to fight for a hundred years to gain their freedom. the cost is high but no pearl of great price can be acquired without great cost. so it is here now. we are kidding ourselves if we think such activities as discussed in this episode make any difference. nothing happens by accident. this whole situation with the finances and the homes, etc and the wars that never end, is all controlled and is all happening on purpose. we are dying as a nation now. we are not free. we have not been free really since the civil war. stack it high and stack it deep is the words of wisdom for today, at least while you still can....to truely understand the powers that are against us, you must understand the beast and you must be able to think like him and you must be able to see him for what he is. this beast will not give up by voting. it will not give up by protests. it will not give up by words. the only way it will give up is if you kill it. like a cancer, it must be cut out of the body in order that we may live. the founding fathers knew the beast. they understood the beast. if we do not stop this beast, then we will not have a country and i am afraid, that may happen sooner than most of us think.......they are discussing attacking iran now. I would say for God to help us but perhaps that would be in vain since this country has turned away from Him now.....

I'm fed up with this country as well... how dare they write laws insisting that I have to pay back credit card and mortgage bills!! How dare they frown upon specuvestors like me who illegally bought multiple houses, and ultimately contributed to the biggest recession since the 1930's.

The nerve of these people!! ;-)

"Call your Congressman and give them hell". What are they smoking? Members of Congress don't care what we think so what is the point? Any American who believes that Congress will respond to their letters, email or hone calls is an idiot.

There's one good thing about protesting ... it helps expose the rats, and there's plenty when it comes to this mortgage fiasco.

Are you sure it's not just coincidence or, my personal favorite: incompetence? ;^)

Unfortunately "Anonymous" is right.

If d*p-sh&t get's us involved with Iran, don't be shocked when Gas prices shoot past $10/gal.

It (physical action) will begin to happen once commodities become too expensive for the majority to afford on their current salaries.

For those of you would think this is nothing but "doom-and-gloom" talk, I would suggest taking your heads out of the sand and blinders off.

Like George Carlin stated ... "[They call it The American Dream, because you have to be a sleep to believe it.]"

Can't wait to attack Iran.

$2-300 oil and Weimar inflation might cause some to ponder what happened to us.

Just saw this on PBS'c Nightly Business Report:

A couple in California making $60,000/yr wants to buy a house. Even with great credit and a downpayment, they can qualify for "only" $200K.

So, now there's a program in their area to "help first time homebuyers".

Magically they can get a $300K loan! Sound familiar? I don't know if that organization is commiting mortgage fraud or what, but anything that jacks up loan elegibility is suspect.

If we as a society want to encourage home ownership, the way to do it is obvious. Make it affordable! And the only way to do that is stop the B.S. with mortgage fraud, exotic explosive loans, and other lame tricks.

Anonymous 4:17 sounds like the biggest f*cking whiny bitch on the planet.

Poor white men, so cheated, so misunderstood. And oh my! we've turned away from Him. That's Him with a capital H. Bless you, my son.

Geezus dude, they're spending a few billion to help some people out. You're not going to have to be their slave or get boned in the butt or anything.

Did you get this freaked out when bush spent a trillion in Iraq? Didn't think so.

1. It will not be a few billion but most likely few hundreds of billion.
2. Those will not be any of minorities/poor that will be helped (as claimed by Democrats). Bank of America, Citigroup, and WaMu owners/investors will be helped.
3. As a consequence it is simply another scheme how to transfer wealth from middle class and poor to the Ones Who Deserve it - the Rich. Not much different from Iraq war which is simply money transfer from taxpayers to Halliburton. Democrats want to reward their cronies also :) and Biterrenter is the only person in world who does not understand it.

Doing my part today; quitting my six figure corporate job in Sillycon Valley and moving back to a "square state" to live mortgage free on probably 1/2 the income. So long and thanks for all the fish!

I laugh when they ask to contact your congresmen. Sure, all you'll get back is a template letter from MS Word with a bunch of bull$hit that sometimes doesn't even relate to the issue. Oh, I've gotten news to the naive Americans:

CONGRESS DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU. THEY WORK FOR LOBBYISTS. AND THAT'S WHY THERE ARE 49,000 LOBBYISTS IN DC. THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO IS VOTING THEM OUT UNTIL THEY GET IT.

But noooo, what do you do instead? You reward Dodd by voting to his boy Hussein. Geniuses!

Bitterrenter,

You are out of character again. Remember, you are not playing the mortgage lender role here as you do in your regular life; you are supposed to be a bitter renter, remember?

"Did you get this freaked out when bush spent a trillion in Iraq? Didn't think so."

If W were FDR, the pinkos would be praising and clamoring for more job creation through blowing up poor schmucks overseas in the name of democracy. Goes to show the welfare state and warfare state are one and the same: more fleecing for the bankers and more being boned for the average folks.

Yes, exactly. All these tricks and manipulation to get people to buy housing is hurting it. And it's so ridiculous that government is in the housing business. Since when were people entitled to own or homedebt? Affordable housing is making housing unaffordable.

Annnnnd like clockwork, the crooked PPT came out in force at 2 PM to fake a positive market today.

The point at least one or two people are getting off their asses. It will take more, and eventually riots and storming the whitehouse but it's a start.

They're not hungry enough yet. Give them time.

It doesn't matter what they're protesting, as long as they protest and start getting into direct action.

Once there are mobs, they can be directed.

Anyone see the current price of gspg.

If Casey sells now he will make over $30k. Little weasel.

Your congresspeople DO pay attention to what you say.

Check this out:

http://apr.sagepub.com/cgi/content/abstract/33/6/751

Congresspeople are FAR more interested in what the people who ACTUALLY VOTE think than in what lobbyists think.

You can get money if you have votes, but you can't get votes with money.
