HousingPANIC Make You Puke Quote of the Day

"And when the history is written, it'll be said that we lived in a safer country, and a more hopeful world, because George Bush was President of these United States."

- Dick, and I mean Dick, Cheney, May 2008

(Bonus questions - will Cheney or Bush be indicted for war crimes by an international tribunal in the future? Will Bush pardon Cheney before leaving office? Will Obama pardon Bush or Cheney? And can Bush hit single digits before January?)

How about this one?

Ben Bernanke urges actions to stop house price declines and foreclosures, yet he is cutting interest rates causing gas and food prices to rise, leaving less to pay the mortgage.

Don't believe the MSM. According to Harvard's Steven Pinker, we're living one of the more peaceful times in the modern human era. Google him. He has some interesting research.

Yeah, an international tribunal for war crimes. Sure.

Even if the rest of the world got their shit together to do something like that (har!), based on what they've done the last two times something like that was assembled (for Serbian and Rwandan war crimes).....they wouldn't even be able to come up with an indictment for ten years. They'd have to burn through an obscene amount of money first on "fact finding missions" to five star resorts and hotels in third world countries that are notoriously lax on sexual exploitation of children and/or domesticated animals. It's ok, really....the UN will sponsor a workshop in between sheep buggering sessions, and everyone will put on their best suits and look serious. "Important work" will be done.

Then, assuming that we'd actually allow them to imprison a former president (har! har! har!), Bush would probably end up the same way Milosevic did. Cover story....heart attack, actual probability....dying of boredom in some place like Brussels after being forced to watch televised proceedings of the European Union Advisory Board for Ketchup Standards special emergency session on Bulgaria.

Keith, time to come home. You're going native out there.

Bonus questions -

No. Stop being silly.

Will Bush pardon Cheney before leaving office?

For what? No.

Will Obama pardon Bush or Cheney?

Again, for what? Also, Obama is un-electable, even more so than Kerry. He may not even hold onto the nomination.

And can Bush hit single digits before January?

Probably not, more than 10% of Americans are evangelical nutjobs whose support for Bush wouldn't waiver even if he sent Dick Cheney over to their house to shoot them in the face.

How many bonus points did I win???

International war tribunal? WTF is that? And why would they have jurisdiction over anyone in America? What army or police does such an "international tribunal" have?

Let me guess an international tribunal would be composed of america hating leftists, redistributionists, unrepentant Marxists and politically correct multi-culturalists (the ones for whom Islam is a religion of peace but Christianity is something to apologize for).

Know this is not the best place for this but here it goes.

About digitek recall (medicine made in china)... check out this google trends ... not in media yet!

Fits in with crap made in china, corporate wall street greed, and the fda not doing it's job!

I have been a long time reader of this blog (over a year) it is my favorite blog. I go by WaitingToBuy. I did not buy a house even though i could am a software developer and live in the hudson valley north of nyc.

Digitek is heart medicine taken by millions of people for heart issues. The recall covers the generic that is made in china. The company that makes it is called Actavis Totowa ... this company was baught and made private last year by wall street private equity. Owned by this billionare icelandic guy who controls the fish market in europe.

The pills where made in this factory in china and where double dosed. Digitek is toxic and it is stimulats the heart. So a overdoes can be deadly and cause Renal FAILURE ... ie kidney can't deal with the overflow of the drug. The issue why this went on for months is that a test of the digitek comes back normal but the overflow of digitek gets dumped to the kidneys and blader. A blood test comes back with a increase in white blood cell count (bad) and the blood looks very weird. So it looks like a virus or kidney or bladder problem. It causes people to get very week, headachs, heart beats to quick causing heart attacks. And you have to remeber this is given to people who have bad hearts and a weak imune system. So since the digitek blood test came back normals the doctors did not look at that as a problem ... they looked for a virus and people through they had the flu. And this went on for months.

I personaly have heart failure and was on this medicine and am struggling to get better ... i have been off the medcine for the past 3 days and am doing a little better but still am struggling. I am in my mid 30s so am strong enough to deal with this but this has killed the weaker. The connetion between why people died in the past couple months of kidney issues has not been connected. But it is starting to be.

This is massive fuckup of the fda .. made in china.

If one goes to google trent http://www.google.com/trends?q=digitek look at the spike!

The nation media has not picked up on this since the recall came out just last wed. But lawyers are circling. google "digitek recall lawyer"

The company's press release is pathetic and they downplay the risks ... only say 11 people have been effected but that is bull. The person that quoted from this press release is their general counsol.

Thousands...what have you been smoking? According to HRW there were 500 civilian casualties attributable to NATO bombing. If you do not believe, read HRW website. On the other hand, Iraq war has caused at least 400 000 civilian casualties (Johns Hopkins investigation, published in Lancet).
While one may argue for or against what Clinton did, it was not even on 5% scale of what Bush DOES. And Clinton did not drive country to bankruptcy by his activities.

Mr. Cheney sez: "The world changed when a coordinated attack ended the lives of 3,000 innocent Americans at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and on a field in Pennsylvania."

Nineteen flight school dropouts eluded the United State's $80 billion defense system and NORAD as they flew hijacked commercial airliners around the country without any interference from the US Air Force. The hijackers then demonstrated superior flying skills (particularly in the Pentagon attack) as they successfully crashed their planes into three of their four intended targets.

This is the official version of what happened and you either believe it or you don't.

But you better believe Mr. Cheney when he sez this: "No one can guarantee that we won't be hit again, because the danger remains very real."

This danger is as real as Hitler's Reichstag fire.

Another "coordinated attack" against the US is very likely to occur before President Bush leaves office.

"The bigger the lie, the more people will believe it." - Adolf Hitler.

I spent two of the past few months in the former Yugoslavia and what NATO did was 10000000000% to end the war the right thing to do

The sad thing is that Europe and the UN and NATO stood around with their thumbs up their asses as long as they did while civilians were slaughtered by Milosevic and the Serbs

And why did the US wait? Because Clinton was accused of "wag the dog" by the GOP and didn't have the guts initially to do the right thing

In other words, Monica indirectly led to the deaths of thousands in Croatia and Bosnia. And then she led to tens of thousands of deaths in Iraq, a war that wouldn't have happened if Gore had won in 2000 (but didn't because of Clinton's behavior)

Amazing, huh?

keith, kosovo is serbian land. what they did there or what happened there we do not know for sure. are we to believe what the news media or our government has told us about this? we had no business getting involved in that whole affair. it was insanity just like the iraq war and all wars to be perfectly honest. the constitution(you know, that old dusty piece of paper sitting in a glass case at the smithstonian) is very clear on this. did the serbs ever attack us? no they didn't. so why in the hell do we go bomb the hell out of them. the subtle brain washing that went on during that time was palatable. we are told that the serbs(white) are being mean to their half breed brothers in kosovo. keith , that whole area there is like jerusalem is to the jews. it is sacred. they will never, ever give it up. the only reason they weren't as populated in that area as they should have been is because the damn nazi's killed them all during world war 2, since let us not forget who were the people that were allied with the nazis during this time. it damn sure wasn't the serbs. also the serbs are slavic peoples. they are related culturally and religiously to the russians. we keep fooling around over there and you watch what happens. this area has been the area where two world wars started. it is not by accident. this area has been almost impossible to conquer since the dawn of history. it would be a very large mistake for us to do anymore damage there than we already have. you say the europeans were sitting on their asses and didn't want to help. well gee, keith, why do you think they were reticent to get involved with this crap? they have seen this movie before, haven't they? some day maybe we will learn. also let us not forget, that we dropped numerous amounts of smart bombs over there during the serbian conflict. these bombs had large amounts of depleted uranium in them this constitutes a war crime of sorts because we have intentionally caused major environmental damage to that area because of the radiation poisoning of the uranium dust that is in the area now and will be for the half life of depleted uranium which is 4.5 billion years. if you do not believe any of this, then study up on it and research it for yourself. spending a few months in the area, does not equate to full knowledge of this event. also the fact is that Milosevic, was murdered in his cell and then they said he died of a heart attack or whatever. the problem was that he was saying too much that was true at that silly thing they called a trial.

keith let us get down to what this war was really all about shall we.

it was about race. do you understand that? the serbs are white. they are strongly bonded through their religion. they have lots of children. they don't believe in abortion. they believe in God. this is something that the rulers of this world cannot stand and so they were selected for destruction. and that is it in a nutshell.

And then, and only then, feel free intelligently comment on what happened in the former Yugoslavia and NATO's involvement.

Kind of reminds me of the ignorance regarding the Pandora's box of various ethnic tribes and historical animosities we ran into in Iraq, that seemed such a surprise to "we'll be greeted as liberators" Cheney.

Regardless. Clinton and the Congress are to blame for not stoping Genocide sooner in the Balkanks. Worse, is the inaction in the Rwandan Genocide that has spawned the largest war since WWII.

Bush and Cheney will never see a courtroom. One of Bush's first acts in office was to 'unsign' the treaty forming the International Criminal Court.

So, is the Americano toasted yet ? And if not, when do you people, Joe and Jane of the SHRUB's Ass-Head Clan, think the Americano will be toasted ? Will they be toasted lightly as a marshmellow or juicely as a snapper turtle skewered on a stick from head to ass all sizzling nicely, fat popping, juices dripping over a bed of red hot charcoal fire ?

Please vote:
Is the Americano now = Roasted Snapper Turtle ?

Is the Americano = "Little Boy" + "Fat Man" Arse-Kisser ?

Is the Americano "has been entered the dragon" up in the kazook by the very government that they ignorantly, stupidly, dumb-assly voted for in the last 8 years ? And last but not least, is the Americano's kazook painfully hurt by the "entered the dragon" action or is he/she loving and liking it to death due to FAGGOT's lover dream ?

International Criminal Court? Wow - we have some rush to give away US constitutional rights and sovereignity here today!

I was never a Ron Paulist, but I do bow toward his thoughts on the ICC:

"The United Nations and the ICC are inherently incompatible with national sovereignty. America must either remain a constitutional republic or submit to international law, because it cannot do both. The Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and the conflict between adhering to the rule of law and obeying globalist planners is now staring us in the face. At present we fortunately have a President who opposes the ICC, but ultimately it is up to Congress – and concerned citizens – to insure that no American ever stands trial before an international court."

I thought the distinction was quite simple.

Clinton was slow to intervene in a war which was not in any way caused by the US or NATO. Depending upon your political slant, they either should have intervened earlier or not at all. However, regardless of your political bias, they were in no way responsible for Rwanda or Yugoslavia.

On the other hand, Bush did initiate war with Iraq. And for that his administration must take full responsibility for its success or failure. Again, regardless of political bias, its now clear there were no WMD - though perhaps there was good reason to think there were at the time. Or perhaps the situation was inflamed by dogma on the part of his administration.

In any event, the comparison of the two situations is invalid. In the first instance, Clintons administration and NATO intervened on humanitarian grounds to terminate a war not of their making and posing no threat to the US/NATO.

Latterly, Bush and his administration made a fatal error in initiating a war in Iraq on the belief it had WMD's. And in the knowledge that Iraq didn't engineer the 9/11 attack (though they did cheer it on).

It seems to me that Anonymous Posters Are Completely Ignorant of Recent History.

Regardless of whether you're a Democrat or Republican - don't you feel some compulsion to actually get at the real facts of what has happened?

Cheers, Haggis

WHOA WHOA WHOA cheney-groupie, are you comparing Bush to Hitler???

That's extremely offensive! It's inexcusable and beyond the pale!

After all, Hitler was--
- an avid reader
- a prolific writer
- a charismatic speaker
- he listened to his generals' advice (at least at first)
- he made sure to invade countries with ADEQUATE numbers of troops for occupation and control
- he dramatically IMPROVED his country's economy (at least for a while)
- he presided over his country's largest ever IMPROVEMENT in domestic infrastructure (such as the railroads)
- he actually had a trade he could have fallen back on (architecture/design)
- he was an ACTUAL decorated military hero, ACTUALLY serving in a war--in the most dangerous job in WWI.
- and as far as I know, he attained the Chancellorship by LEGAL (although, I think, coercive) means

So I INSIST you take back your outrageous comparison!

I don't think this is a good thing, because I hate the Democrats almost as much as I hate the Republicans, but prepare for an epic implosion of the GOP this fall. They're going to be shown the door, after probably the worst eight years of government in the past 100 years. Politics is cyclical, and the GOP is going to be remaking itself into an electable body over the next 20 years or so, until they can win again

Good things about the GOP going away though:

1) The supreme court gets back into balance

2) The constitutional rights of women and minorities are protected

3) The REIC is regulated

4) The paranoid religious right is discredited for a generation

5) The world can stop hating us for a bit

6) Sean Hannity has an aneurysm
