But money is how we value someone's worth to society! Angelo is just a really valuable, contributing member! And I bet you he pulled himself up by the boostraps to amass that fortune through the glory of Capitalism and being a captain of industry! You wouldn't think it's UNAmerican to have a lot of money, would you? Because if you did, that would mean you were a FILTHY LYING EVIL SOCIALIST AND COMMUNIST WHO IS ONLY OUT TO DESTROY AMERICA AND TAKE AWAY OUR HOMES!!!!

You people are just jealous.

He can't help it if people were willing to buy stock in his shit company when he went to sell out.

The fact that he lied his ass off about the company while he was selling the stock is.........irrelevant.

It's just par for the course in the New Republican-created America.

Half of you people reading this, probably more than half, voted for this kind of winner-take-all culture where the cheaters are rewarded for their dishonesty. Hell, you WORSHIP scum like this guy.

Now EAT IT.

It seems to be open season on Mozilo, but what about the people who signed up for these weird mortgages. Don't they have some responsibility?

Be careful, Keith, about giving openings for lawsuits. Some things are better thought than said, let alone written.

Bill of Rights
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
______

In Hustler Magazine, Inc. v. Falwell, 485 U.S. 46 (1988), the United States Supreme Court held, voting 8-0, that the First Amendment's free-speech guarantee prohibits awarding damages to public figures to compensate for emotional distress intentionally inflicted upon them unless they can show that the statements that gave rise to the distress were false and that the person that made those statements knew they were false or acted with reckless disregard for the truth in making the statements. Hustler magazine's parody of Jerry Falwell did not satisfy this standard, and so the Court reversed a jury verdict in favor of Falwell, who had previously been awarded $250,000 in damages by a lower court.

glory of Capitalism and being a captain of industry!

I'd take him over the glorious captains of Socialism, Josef Stalin and Pol Pot.

Don't blame him. He is doing what we all wish could do.. Make a lot of money. I am sure he worked his ass off to get where he is. Much harder than us all. 2007 pay for him was probably the height of mortgage industry, we won't see that kind of payout for a long long time.

Oh, come now, Keith!

What have big fat pigs ever done to you?

Anonymous said...

Don't diss big fat pigs, Keith.

At least they are good for bacon, BBQ ribs and pork chops...which is more than Tangelo has ever been good for.

Mozilo will be in jail soon.

Put some black and white stripes on that porker and put it in a cage!

Bloggers on boards like this are ignored by the main stream and thought of as tin foil hat kooks, most of whom believe Bush blew up New York on 9/11.

We need to mature as a culture so that people like Orangelo are more reviled for their greed than admired for their material accumulation.

The greed that is required to amass this level of wealth is exactly why it rings true that "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."

The opportunity cost of great wealth is all the great acts of compassion that weren't undertaken. The sin is particularly egregious when the wealth is amassed through fraudulent means.

Why do people praise Warren Buffett, George Soros, and the Google founders who have made 10 times more than Mozilo? Aren't they 10 times as greedy?
