So, will Americans rise up and fight back, or will they continue to take it lying down (while watching American Idol of course)?

I've got a feeling it's gonna get hot in Denver and Minneapolis this fall. And hopefully that's just the start of it.

The lack of protest and outrage in America these past few years has been shameful. And when the people don't fight back, we get what we deserve, and we get no change.

I WANT TO SEE RAGE. I WANT TO SEE AN UPRISING. I WANT TO SEE AMERICANS FIGHTING THEIR CORRUPT GOVERNMENT AND INSTITUTIONS AND THEIR MISGUIDED WAYS. I WANT TO SEE COLLEGE STUDENTS AND HOUSEWIVES AND LAID OFF WORKERS TURN OFF THE F*CKING Wii'S AND TV'S AND GET BUSY.

America got pacified by helicopters of free housing loot these past few years. Nothing else mattered because we were all getting rich, rich, rich!!!

But now, the housing crash and dollar destruction changes everything.

Democracy is supposed to be messy. So let's get messy.

In case you haven't figured it out yet, Obamatrons are delusional and Obama himself has pushed the self-destruct button. Hillary is well on her way to being our democratic nominee and consequently our next president.

After reading the post I saw "1 comment". I was totally expecting some nut job to go off on the state of the US. I read this and looking at your avatar I laughed my ass off.

Too funny.

What happened to the Louisville Slugger guy that promised to run through the streets bashing FB's heads during the great housing crash? That was some funny sh!t too... and more in line with what should be happening!

Oh no, man! Don't mess with American Idol!
I HATE reality TV.

I’ve been a Republican forever. But I would vote for Obama over Hillary, any day. I would vote for Obama over McCain, any day. I would vote for McCain over Hillary.
If Hillary doesn’t win the Democratic primary, this Republican will vote Democrat for the first time in his life.
I hope you Democrats take the ‘crossover’ vote into consideration, before you nominate another Clinton!

Keith, perhaps have you thought that Americans won't protest because they are happy with what they already possess? We Americans are the wealthiest and freest people on the face of this earth. We live in the world's number one economy and we are a shining city on top of a hill. People in America are not OUTRAGED, BITTER and PISSED like you. America love it or leave it.

The thing that I like about you Keith is you create treads that explore something that might be possible .

I guess any kind of rebellion on the part of people will depend on how much they are stepped on .People are feeling and seeing the inflation ,but they have been told a story on the causes . The public sees Bear Sterns cash and the Feds injecting 30 billion in the deal ,so what happens ,the next day a big up rally on stocks .

By the time the Feds do what they are going to do and the public begins to pay the full price ,than it will be to late .

I have always noticed in my lifetime that emergency measures are a scapegoat to conn the sheep into acceptance of something the powers don't want the public to have any voice in . The course is set ,the plan is in motion .The big nanny government is rolling the dice on the outcome .

B) take it lying down

i would agree with that.
after Obama's been president for eight years then Hillary can have her chance! but the real loser in this is Bill clinton cuz he won't have a new group of interns to pick from. cigar, anyone?

For the most part, people don't see any real difference out here.

Yep, the house value is down, their 401k is sucking sewer water when it comes to returns, but for now, everything's pretty much as it has always been. Unless you are trying to get one more hit off of the housing ATM, you notice only that prices are going up a little across the board.

Not exactly the makings of a revolution here, sorry.

And as for American Idol, well.....what's the point after Danny got voted off? ;)

I want to see Keith move back to teh states.

Keith, you blow things out of proportions. People don't riot over FICO scores.

Blacks will tear Denver up if Hillary "steals" it from them.

You are truely a brain dead fucking moron in massive denial. 72 % of sheeple now believe a deppression is forthcoming. They are right. Brought to us by the global chamber of commerce and their hired bitches, the federal gov. so shut up you retard!!!!!!!

What's new. Another irrational Clinton Hater. Who cares about your vote, especially after you voted for Bush/Cheney TWICE. You have as much credibility as Mike Norman.

And BTW, nobody believes that you're voting for Obama over McCain, since that's just a trick to get rid of Hillary, a much tougher opponent to beat. That's why all of you Republican warmogers, who destroyed the country in just 7 years, are running scare, telling that you're voting for the most liberal person in the Senate and black! Sure, we believe you, troll.

Obama for president and his pastor Wright, the America hater, for VP. Then you'll be working your a$$es off to support Africa and American ghetto with your skyrocketing taxes. First they all voted for Bush/Cheney TWICE, and now the same retards are voting for Obama. Don't you people ever learn anything?

Life is good for the top 20%, ok for the middle 60%, and sucks for the bottom 20%. . .most of the foreclosures are in the bottom 20%, the middle 60% have lost access to the HELOCS, so they can't spend as much, and the top 20% don't notice much difference (unless they were in a hedge-fund). . .so life goes on, people drive a little less, don't go out to eat as often, and gripe about $4 gas. . .I agree with anon - "hardly the stuff of revolution." . . .the war is off the radar for most Americans, because we have a "professional Army," no draft. . .the USA MSM hardly mentions the war anymore, except today on the 5th anniversary. . .so Idol goes on, Spring is on the way, and vacations (although maybe not big vacations) must be planned. . .does it sound like I have changed my tune??. . .yes - I now realize that Big Ben and Co. will not allow a crash. . .yes, a cheap dollar, but the fix is in.

Well I am pissed, and I know exactly what I'm pissed at - the mortgage bailout. If speculators want to make easy money on a bubble, its their perogative to try. But if the bubble goes bust, don't you dare try to hand me the bill.

Renters, savers, and especially future buyers have a common interest in stopping this bailout. Democrats, Republicans, independants, Libertarians, we need to show some mutual respect and work together long enough to prevent ourselves from being robbed by investors who foolishly purchased sub-prime mortgage backed securities and now want the government or government-backed entities to buy the worthless stuff. Not only will this cost taxpayers, not only will this contribute to inflation, this will also give the government a permanent interest in maintaining high housing costs, which should make all future home buyers shudder.

I am Republican social conservative. Perhaps you are a socially liberal Democrat. When this fight is over, feel free to continue hating and stereotyping me. For now, we need to work together in our common interests.

From what I've seen in the media, there seem to be 3 schools of thought among our politicians on the subject of the bailout. Some Republicans, such as Fred Thompson and Ron Paul, are opposed to any bailout. Other Republicans, such as President Bush, support the Federal Reserve's rate cuts and other bailout measures while opposing the congressional bailout proposals. Finally, most Democrats not only support every bailout measure enacted since August 2007, they also insist that rates should have been cut sooner(they should have been cut more). In addition, the Democrats want to give direct aid to homeowners facing foreclosure.

All these measures delay the return of normal house prices, at the expense of taxpayers and savers.

Here is a strategy to fight back:
Democrats - try to get your party to change course on this issue.
Republicans - Let the President know you support him when he opposes the bailout, and you oppose him when he supports it.
Independants - Let the canidates know that their stance on the bailout will influence your vote in November.

Personally, I am going to use my 2 weeks paid vacation this year to circulate a petition on this issue.

If they didn't revolt over the illegal creation of the Fed and IRS in 1913, why would they riot now? The public has been dumbed down by our socialist feel good educational system and the idiot box with commercials every 5 minutes. The general public has the attention span of a fruitfly. The destruction of the TV will be a good start to getting America back on track.

When gas hit $2 people were talking like it was the end of the world. And yet the world didn't end. Same with $3 gas. Somehow people managed. And now $4 gas is around the corner, and guess what, people will manage.

It's hilarious to hear you people talk about revolutions. The poorest American is richer than 90% of the world's population. Oh no, they can only go out to eat 3 times a week instead of 5 times a week because of $4 gas....a new Boston Tea Party is about to occur.

How about people pulling all their money out of the game . Just pull the money out of the game . Pull out all your stocks ,bonds ,little money in checking accounts ,everything . Stop buying everything (except food of course ) . It would be the consumer saying ,you need us ,more than we need you and your crooked .

No longer accept the stack deck, rigged game where the rich get richer off the middle and upper middle class .

Tell the corporations your not going to buy their goods unless they give you a raise and hire back jobs to Americans .

Tell the government that you want Corporations to pay more of their fair share of the tax burden ,rather than the workers . That will lower the salaries of the CEO's real fast . Might make the stockholders make less ,but hell better to have workers having livable wages than stockholders getting to fat .

The rigged stacked deck system is not going to change as long as you don't show these people that they need you more than you need them . They are already sweating it and trying to figure out how they can get you into more debt to pad their pockets.

Tell them to 'Go to Hell" ,and your not going to take it anymore and your sick of a rigged system . Tell them your not going to play in their casinos anymore (the stock market ) where they pump stock and dump it and screw the small guy investor .

Don't expect Congress -Senate to vote for your interest ,so vote with your limited purchasing power that they are messing with every day with low rate Fed policies and unjust bail outs of gamblers .

Remember when the buyers of homes finally said ,forget it and they stopped buying and backed off from the home prices because they were just to absurd and the situation suddenly changed . Don't accept their plans for taking a piece out of you over and over again ,and not in a fair way ,but in a unfair way . Demand Justice .Demand law and order .

"You first. I really don't give a f@ck."

I love it when people say they don't care about something. That usually means they do care but want to pass it off like it's no big deal.

Anyway I do care. And I am pissed. I want to see people, Americans SUFFER. I want to see people have to go to the Jersey Shore for their family vacation instead of Spain or Italy. I want to see people lose their second, useless vacation home. But mostly I want to see those fucker CEOs who screwed everyone lose their fat Wall Street jobs, with their bonuses as their shareholders and workers got screwed. I want to see the FED pull out all the stops and still not be able stop the deluge.

I want people to SUFFER! I want people humbled! I want people to have to work, and invest, and to build great things instead of pushing money around and try to make money out of thin air, and have everyone fucked in the end.

Anonymous said...

"I want people to SUFFER!"

Oh man anon, you nailed it. That is the attitude of far too many Americans. It's one of the reasons this republic will eventually collapse into a fascist state run by folks who are good at making others suffer.

Your attitude is a feminized view BTW, and speaks of your inability to confront others as equals. Read the book Iron John and with hard work and soul searching, maybe you can grow a pair some day.

Methinks that what people want
is what the marketeers call
"capitulation"(a sort of panic).

Then perps learn hard lessons,
and clean up their acts,
if not their policies.

Ignorance, weakness, and 'gimmie'
are not plans for life-validation;
and if that's not a goal, then they are a waste of air.
