Here's the first realtor I've seen who has adopted the correct marketing strategy - just tell the damn truth

Now if he'd work for $30 bucks an hour to help find or sell a house, he's got a real business. Check out his site and blog too - some good stuff there.

Good to see commentary like this though from a realtor. Unlike the mindless dribble and lies you see on realtytimes, realtor.org, bloodhoundblog and the thousands and thousands of waste-of-time realtor sites.

Message to the ramen-eaters: Tell the truth. There's a marketing strategy for you. Just tell the damn truth. Your credibility has been destroyed, likely beyond repair thanks to the monkeys at the NAR, but if you ever want to eat again, you're going to have to try something radical.

Oh, ditch the laughable 6% too. Seriously, you're gonna have to go with the hourly wage thing, with maybe a bonus for good performance. Just the way it's gonna be.

I really like this guy, and if I were to use a realtor he would be it. The things he writes and says are really examplify how someone should act in their chosen profession, and thats with doing things the right way and not hosing your customer during hte process.

He's got a great blog that I follow, linked below. It's not updated a ton, but his posts are usually lengthy and well thought out.

Damn Keith, this guy is pretty impressive. I spent an hour on his blog improving my realty education. Good link!

Keith, you're going to love this.

USA Today names Lawrence Yun one of America's top 10 economic forecasters. No kidding.

Frank's not bad. he still thinks prices in condo-licious Wash, DC won't drop much further. and he was a flipper on the way up.

According to Youtube that video was "Added: December 06, 2006". This guy has extended credibility, he came clean before the bust even?! At first I thought: 'He's intelligent and knows what he's doing, and probably started taking the honesty angle now that everything has gone to sh!t.'

Is this the same Frank as the Scottsdale sucks Frank?

I'd hire Scottsdale sucks Frank for $30 per hour...

Pigs Flying Alert! We found a realtor who tells the truth. Why is it so painful for the 99.999% of realtwhores to be straight forward like that?

Noooo, that's another Frank. That Frank you're talking about is the one who asked for asylum in the the most liberal state in the nation. And who now bites the hand that feeds him.

Well, I'd say..

1) They're too dumb
2) They're liars and can't stop
3) They're following their idiot leaders at the NAR and can't think for themselves
4) They've lied so much and so long that they believe it's true
5) The truth is so ugly they don't want to admit it even to themselves

Answer:
Because those realty folks
made more money *not* telling
the truth.

I talked with a realtor the other day who seemed like a fairly straight shooter. If nothing else, he didn't have that air of cockiness that so many had a couple years back.

I told him that it was unfortunate for him that most guys like me "don't need you or your services, that you are only involved because the seller needs you to handle his end of the transaction".

He actually agreed.

I don't hate realtors like many at HP do, but I will always let them know that they will have absolutely no influence on how I approach the deal.

FRANKLY EVEN PONIED UP HIS OWN DOUGH TO CREATE THE FIRST OF IT'S KIND MLS SEARCH ENGINE FOR THE D.C AREA...

YOU CAN USE IT TO SEARCH FOR KEYWORDS LIKE "SHORT SALE OR BANK OWNED" THROUGHOUT AN ENTIRE COUNTY...

IT ALSO ENABLES YOU TO IDENTIFY DAYS ON THE MARKET RELIST FRAUD IF YOU TRACK YOUR AREA REGULARLY...

AND IT GIVES YOU THE ORIGINAL LIST PRICE FOR EACH MLS NUMBER A PROPERTY RECEIVES...

TRY IT OUT!!!
