McCain vs. Obama. Guess which one is gonna get trounced in November

I'm just sayin...

Meanwhile, I don't think the Republican Party could be in worse shape than it is today. Too bad, because the Democrats running around DC unchecked is just as bad an idea as the GOP running around DC unchecked in '00 to '06 - you see the kind of mess that got us into.

Enjoy the videos. And the election. What a mess Obama will have on his hands in 2009.

Here's the *ONLY* bill that Obama *EVER* sponsored as a Senator - in other words the ONLY thing he's EVER done in his career:

A bill called the Global Poverty Act that would send almost $1 TRILLION (!) in foreign aid to Asia and Africa to be paid for by increased taxes by those of us who work for a living.

This is an outrage.

This, my friend, is called treason against the citizens he is sworn to represent. It's bad enough that this guy is a socialist, but come on, if you're going to steal and extort my money to support the poor, at least do it here at home instead of sending it to people who live in huts.

McCain sucks but this alone makes Obama far, far worse. It makes him a traitor against us.

Sounds like O'Bama is the next President. Hope he can clean up the big mess left by Bush & the Republicons.

But to your point on this bill, would you have the US drop all foreign aid? Might want to tell George Bush that

My take is that this orgy of spending has to end one way or another, once the world wises up and stops lending us money.

Only other way to keep it going is to pull our troops from every country on earth, the Ron Paul way.

We're broke. Some just haven't gotten the message yet.

Apparently, Obama hasn't watched that Detroit youtube video. I always wonder why the types of Bill Gates & Co. are always sending millions overseas to help the poor while the US is falling apart.

Watch him come down with a health problem between now and the convention, so the GOP can put up Condi or someone who has at least a shot of winning.

Were those morons in that ad supposed to convince me to vote for Obama? You have a pimp wearing a furry hat. Some fat idiot with a guitar. Then they say we are at war. Ok so the Islamofascists will end their jihad if Obama is elected? Is that a promise? Will Obama promise to resign if the war continues? That only reinforces my conclusion that Obama is an empty suit. I don't have any love for McCain either, but at least he isn't going around painting this ambiguous picture of "hope"

The Bush administration has made Africa the centerpiece of its aid strategy. Twelve of the 15 countries receiving funding from the five-year, $15 billion President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief are in Africa. Nine African countries are among the 16 drawing grants from Bush's Millennium Challenge Corporation, which provides support to nations that have reached benchmarks from stemming corruption to investing in immunizations.

Since Bush took office, U.S. development aid to Africa has tripled, funding for HIV programs have vaulted from under $1 billion to over $6 billion per year and garment exports from Africa to America, fueled by special trade deals, increased sevenfold, according to U.S. statistics.

"His Africa policy has taken us by surprise. None of us expected this," said Tom Kamara, editor-in-chief of the New Democrat, a leading Liberian daily.

Don't bet on it. Our big pharmas and processed food companies love when their puppets in DC come up with foreign aid bills in order to transfer taxpayer money to their Balance Sheets.

If our government doesn't give a damn about Detroit of New Orleans, do you really think that they give a rat's arse about some poor bastard in Africa or Asia? It's all about Balance Sheets.

But to your point on this bill, would you have the US drop all foreign aid? Might want to tell George Bush that

1. Yes we should drop all foreign aid. It's not our money to give away. This is all debt being piled onto the next generation.

2. Why do you compare Obama to Bush? The last I heard, Bush isn't running for President.

3. This foreign aid bill increases US foreign aid by 1000% over what is currently being given away under Bush.

4. It's more than what has been spent in Iraq and I bet we get nothing out of it. The Muslims will use it to train more terrorists and build more mosques and madrassas. The Africans will continue to steal and murder.

5. Do you think it's a good idea to raise taxes for foreign aid when Americans are struggling to pay their bills? Keep that trillion dollars at home where it's needed.

How about we pull out of Iraq and stop spending money that isn't ours? How would you like it if I donated $50,000 to Catholic Charities and told them to collect from you children?

Your link is to DemocraticUnderground, an extremist leftwing socialist group that praises Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, and Kim Jong Il. Besides, none of the bills he personally wrote are original. None of them saw the light of day, even though his party is in charge of the Senate. Those were brief pro-Obama ads for those bills, not the specifics(usual Obama style). The others, he co-sponsored, which is akin to jumping on the bandwagon.

From $15 billion to $1 TRILLION is quite a jump. You've spent two years railing against irresponsible spending then you defend this $1 TRILLION orgy by pointing at Bush. Will you now go back and defend Bush's reckless spending the past 7 years?

You're missing the point folks - we're bankrupt. Bush, Clinton, Bush and Reagan spent all the money. We're $52 Trillion in the hole. We're screwed.

We can't pave the streets with gold. We can't give $1 Trillion to Africa. We can't save the banks. The money's gone.

Unless, of course, we get those printing presses humming!

Zimbabwe had 66,000% inflation this year. If Obama (for peace) or McCain (for war) gets the money they're talking about, our currency will be destroyed.

Let's hope they both fail on the spending front. And that's gonna be up to China and the arabs, not Obama or McCain.

Obama is a fake. His book is titled "Dreams from by Father" even though his daddy abandoned the family when Obama was a young child. Obama's white mother and grandmother raised him.

BTW - Obama has admitted to using hard drugs and some of his old friends have told the media that he smoked crack. So that nutjob must be Obama himself.

Obama wrote in his 1995 book "Dreams of My Father" that he was once headed in the direction of a "junkie" and a "pothead."

Referring to his emotional struggles as a young man, Obama wrote, "Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it. Not smack, though."

What's the difference between now and when we were $50 trillion in debt? Where did the money come from for the war? Where did the $400B come from for New Orleans? It's all debt and Obama will accelerate it with all his welfare programs. Does anyone really believe he will pull all the troops out of Iraq by 2009? The only one who would really do that and cut off foreign aid is Ron Paul.

Nice try Keith. All bills have dozens of co-sponsors. Co-sponsoring a bill means nothing, as does co-authoring.

Even being a sole sponsor of a bill means little - "sponsor" means you're sponsoring the bill on behalf of a paid lobbyist who actually wrote the bill, which is a far cry from authoring a bill on your own. (I wasn't sure about this so I called a friend who is a state legislator for clarification.)

The trillion-dollar UN scam bill is the only one he's authored on his own. Meaning the thought of him being able to act alone as President is downright terrifying.

I also feel for the black community if he's elected, because he's going to be a major embarrassment as President - the next Jimmy Carter - and will be an embarrassment to the black community. Like my girlfriend put it, she doesn't want Hillary to win, because having her as the first woman President would be an embarrassment to women everywhere.

I believe that Obama will get the nod from his party. I also think that he believes a great deal of good things but his approach will be very left wing because he has to pay those folks back.

As a conservative I am not happy with the way the Republicans spent money but I am sure that the Democrats will out spend the Republicans.

I would bet that Iraq will plan a role as the economy because it is a very heated issue. I do not believe that Obama , and the code pink types, understand that we cannot just pull out of Iraq. But to his credit Obama has surrounded himself with some good military folks.

Since either is a conservative I have to write in Fred Thompson unless McCain promises to close the borders and not bail out the fools in the banking industry.

Anyone? Anyone?

Tell us how passionate and committed and excited you are to vote for the angry old fart. Go ahead.

In a country of 300 million people, we get two choices in November. Coke or Pepsi. That's it.

The system sucks. The two-party system is corrupt. Something has to change. This would have been the year for a strong Independent, but then McCain and Obama boxed that scenario out (vs. if it had been Clinton vs. Romney)

Go ahead and write Ron Paul in, it's the right and honorable thing to do. But it's a waste.

I can't see a scenario of how we get rid of the Democratic and Republican parties. They set up the game so it'll only and forever be the two of 'em.

But I'll still take the process in the US vs. the mess in the UK, where they get leaders that nobody would vote for. Or Italy, where they get a new leader every other month. Or Cuba or North Korea, where they can't get rid of their leaders.

But damn, we deserve better.

Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., was the most liberal senator in 2007, according to National Journal’s 27th annual vote ratings.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., the other front-runner in the Democratic presidential race, also shifted to the left last year. She ranked as the 16th-most-liberal senator in the 2007 ratings, a computer-assisted analysis that used 99 key Senate votes, selected by NJ reporters and editors, to place every senator on a liberal-to-conservative scale in each of three issue categories. In 2006, Clinton was the 32nd-most-liberal senator.

What you don't appear to realize is that multiculturalism never thrived in the US until very recently. Back then, the non-British raised/educated migrants settled the midwest and their children pretty much gave up their parents' (or grandparents') culture to become mainstream. That's why many recent eastern European immigrants are shocked to realize that Slavs have been living in the US since the 1800s because they believed that they'd see more Russian or Polish-Lithuanian cities but instead, they simply find people with 'ethnic' sounding last names pointing to the old country but with little else in common. This is in stark contrast with Europe.
