FLASH: Bush approval rating drops to 19%. No, that's not a typo. 81% of Americans now realize that George Bush is a total failure and disgrace

Again, HP asks... "What took so long".

We've been saying it for years. George Bush is the worst president ever. Nice to see 81% of Americans finally come to their senses.

I hope George Bush is eventually investigated, arrested and brought before a tribunal. And I hope Obama doesn't pardon him. If he is not imprisoned, then I hope to see him sued in civil courts for his misdeeds, and I hope that he is hounded until the day he dies for the damage he has caused to America and the world.

This has been a shameful, corrupt, illegal and just plain awful Administration. January 2009 can't come fast enough.

Here's the George Bush report card, HP-style, and the latest approval rating data.

* Ran the nation's debt up to $52 trillion and counting
* Lost our manufacturing base
* Allowed and encouraged the illegal invasion of America
* Encouraged sheeple to buy homes at the peak, when the fundamentals made no sense
* Bogged us down in a stupid war on false pretenses, spending over $2 trillion and costing countless lives
* Broke the military
* Did nothing about the growing entitlement bomb
* Passed no significant constructive legislation
* Killed the morale of Americans
* Illegally spied on Americans, tortured people and got rid of habeas corpus
* Did nothing about global warming (and even denied the science)
* Damaged the "USA" brand around the world
* Spread hatred, discrimination and fear across the land
* Made a bunch of money for oil companies and military contractors
* Embarrassed America and all Americans
* Did all this without getting arrested, or brought up on impeachment charges

Concerns over Economy Push George W. Bush's Overall Job Approval to New Low

George W. Bush's overall job approval rating has dropped to a new low in American Research Group polling as 78% of Americans say that the national economy is getting worse according to the latest survey from the American Research Group.

Among all Americans, 19% approve of the way Bush is handling his job as president and 77% disapprove. When it comes to Bush's handling of the economy, 14% approve and 79% disapprove.

That's because there is no real "science" behind it. The "scientists" push it because they'd lose their research grants and associated six-figure salaries the moment they admit it's all a lie.

And your "evil" oil companies are keeping their mouths shut because they'll receive BILLIONS in free money for "research" if crackpot global warming legislation is passed.

Al Gore pushes it because he makes TENS OF MILLIONS on his books and DVDs from suckers who go out and buy his crap and drive a Prius while he burns 10,000 gallons of jet fuel every week on his ultra-luxury private jet.

70s environmental scare: "Global Cooling" - discredited

80s/90s environmental scare "Ozone layer and CFCs" - discredited

Current environmental scare "Global Warming" - soon to be discredited

How the f*ck did they go from global cooling to warning so fast? F*cking joke.

Here's a good one from Bush Co.:

Immediately after Katrina, Bush went on national TV and beckoned Americans to invest in more off-shore drilling. What destroyed the wetlands/buffer zone and exposed New Orleans to destruction was exactly this. Regardless what you believe about drilling, this guy has the timing of an imbecile.

Frank R said...

The problem with all this anti-Bush hatred is that the country said "anyone but Bush" and now we're stuck with three candidates who are actually worse.

On global warming, yes it's happening, but if you look at the *real* scientists' opinions, it's the result of solar cycles (just like the hole in the ozone layer was) along with volcanoes, and less than 1% of the effects can be attributed to man. Meaning we can do nothing about it.

Oh wait, we can sign legislation that will massively cap our nation's GDP and plunge us into a depression far worse than anything we're already on track for. Kyoto Treaty: 5 million American jobs lost. Poverty. Hunger. Looting. Blood on the streets.

Yeah Frank, it's all a big conspiracy -- by the scientists and the oil companies, working together no less! You tell em. And make sure you update your "truthers" website and remind us how Kennedy was an inside job.

Thank god you don't make any important decisions.

It may well turn out that global warmers are wrong. The science is not 100% either way. If they're correct though, and we follow your insane conpiracy babble and do nothing, we're f*cked. So why not play it safe and do something about it? If it turns out to a hoax, oh well, at least we played it safe.

It's not all a conspiracy, you nutjob.

Frank, the hole in the ozone layer was due to CFC's. This is proven and settled science. Mankind realized this and reversed course, saving the day.

Science is not your enemy Frank (and folks like Frank). Brilliant people go into science. Dummies go into mortgage brokering. Listen to the smart people. Read the science. Don't go through life dumb and ignorant.

And science like went into solving the ozone layer hole and reducing CFCs should inspire everyone. It was one of humanity's great accomplishments.

TAKE THE GLOBAL WARMING DISCUSSION TO THE NEWEST THREAD. Leave this one for Bush - The Worst President Ever.

This is long, but explains a lot.

An interesting perspective from Dr. Paul Minot, a psychiatrist in Waterville, Maine.
George Bush's "irrational" consideration of a "surge" in the wake of the Iraq Study Group report -- which apparently defies all credible counsel -- has begun to generate speculation regarding his sanity. References to Bush's "delusions" have appeared in the mainstream media and throughout the blogosphere.
As a psychiatrist, I understandably get concerned when I see clinical terminology bandied about in political discourse, and thought it might be of interest to share a professional perspective on this question. I have a distinct clinical impression that I think explains much of Mr. Bush's visible pathology.
First and foremost, George W. Bush has a Narcissistic Personality Disorder. What this means, is that he has rather desperate insecurities about himself, and compensates by constructing a grandiose self-image. Most of his relationships are either mirroring relationships -- people who flatter him and reinforce his grandiosity -- or idealized self-objects -- people that he himself thinks a lot of, and hence feels flattered by his association with them. Some likely perform both functions. Hence his weakness for sycophants like Harriet Miers, and powerful personalities like Dick Cheney.
Even as a narcissist, Bush knows he isn't a great intellect, and compensates by dismissing the value of intellect altogether. Hence his disses of Gore's bookishness, and any other intellectual that isn't flattering him. Bush knows that his greatest personal strength is projecting personal affability, and tries to utilize it even in the most inappropriate settings.
That's why he gives impromptu backrubs to the German Chancellor in a diplomatic meeting -- he's insecure intellectually, and tries to make everyone into a "buddy" so he can feel more secure.
The most disturbing aspect about narcissists, however, is their pathological inability to empathize with others, with the exception of those who either mirror them, or whom they idealize. Hence Bush's horrifying insensitivity to the Katrina victims, his callous jokes when visiting grievously injured soldiers, and numerous other instances. He simply has no capacity to feel for others in that way. When LBJ was losing Vietnam, he developed a haunted expression that anybody could recognize as indicative of underlying anguish.
For all his faults, you just knew he was losing sleep over it. By the same token, we know just as well that Bush isn't losing any sleep over dead American soldiers, to say nothing of dead Iraqis. He didn't exhibit any sign of significant concern until his own political popularity was sliding -- because THAT'S something he CAN feel.
Which brings us to his recent "delusion." To be blunt, I don't see any indication that Bush has any sort of psychotic disorder whatsoever. The lapses in reality-testing that he exhibits are the sort that can be readily explained by his characterological insensitivity to the feelings and perceptions of others, due to his persistently self-centered frame of reference.
Mr. Bush knows that things aren't going his way in Iraq, and he knows that it is damaging him politically. He also sees that it is likely to get worse no matter what he does, and in fact it may be a lost cause. However, he recognizes that if he follows the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group, that Iraq will almost certainly evolve into a puppet state of Iran, and given his treatment of Iran he will completely lose control of the situation -- and he will be politically discredited for this outcome.
The ONLY chance that he has to avoid this political disaster, and save his political skin, is to hope against hope for "victory" in Iraq. Advancing the "surge" idea offers Bush two political advantages over following the ISG recommendations. One is that if it is implemented, maybe, just maybe, he can pull out some sort of nominal "victory" out of the situation. The chances are exceedingly slim, granted, but slim is better to him than the alternative (none). Alternately, if the "surge" is politically rejected, he gains some political cover, so when things inevitably go bad, he can say "I told you so" and blame the "surrender monkeys" for the outcome. Most people probably won't buy it, but some (his core base) will.
Now, I know what many of you are thinking -- is George Bush willing to risk the lives of hundreds, maybe thousands more American soldiers, on an outside chance to save his political skin, in a half-baked plan that even he knows probably won't work at all? Yes, he is. Because George Bush is that narcissistic, that desperate, and yes, that sociopathic as well.
Especially interesting about Mr. Bush, but quite common, Narcissistic Personality Disorder is frequently associated with alcoholism. The insufferable "holier than thou" attitude associated with "Dry Drunk Syndrome" is indicative of underlying narcissism.
Also, the way that Bush embraces Christianity is characteristically narcissistic. Rather than incorporating the lessons of humility and empathy modeled by Jesus, Bush uses his Christian faith to reinforce his grandiosity. Jesus is his powerful ally, his idealized "buddy" who gives a rubber stamp to anything he thinks.
Finally -- and this will sound VERY familiar to many readers -- those persons with NPD are notoriously unable to say they're sorry. Admitting error is fundamentally incompatible with their precarious efforts to maintain their sense of order. Anyone having this particular character flaw almost certainly has NPD.

What does this say about those who voted him in? Twice!

OMG! ... and I voted for this idiot in 04...

I read an article that says that the whole push for illegal wire tapping without a warrant is so that Bush/Cheney could wire tap the phones of everyone in Congress and the Senate.

Blackmail.

This goes a long way to explaining why the Democrats have become little walking puppets, giving Bush everything he wants. We are going to find out if this is true very shortly, because Congress left town with the wiretap bill unsigned. It has expired. If there is blackmail involved it will be in the papers very soon, as they begin to leak the dirty laundry of everyone they have tapped.

Umm, yes, Bush shoulda followed Carter's example and refused to attend the Olympics if the Taliban were represented.

Anyone that would consider Bush worse than Carter is simply a good deal detached from reality. Here are just a few of the highpoints without really trying:

* Fireside chats w/ sweaters
* America's "malaise"
* Amy's foreign policy advice
* Encouragement of hardliners' seizing of Iran and the decades of terrorism that followed
* Giving away of Panama canal
* Building of inflationary fires that make those of today look like fireflies
* Professed "astonishment" when USSR invaded Afghanistan
* Destruction/tiger paperization of US Military (I experienced this - GWB looks excellent in comparison)
* Desert One

On and on - haven't got time to list even the top 50.

To any reasonable person, Bush looks excellent compared to Carter.

1st time: Bush installed by 5/4 Supreme Court vote. Justice Souter, a conservative republican, wrote in his dissenting opinion that the American people were illegally disfranchised.

2nd time: massive vote fraud, rigged Diebold machines, every trick in the book, especially FL and OH.

No, America is not full of dummies who voted for him twice. Actually, Bush was never fairly elected President. (BTW - Bush and Cheney both being from Texas would have invalidated their ticket. Cheney's bogus end-run of claiming residence in another state doesn't hold water).

I firmly believe in party politics, but this was an example of why party politics went to a disasterous extreme that will be written and talked about for generations to come.

Balance is good, the Republicans proved that to be true when they spent so much money, and allowed corruption to run rampant in the Oval Office.

We are headed into deep financial difficuilties as a nation. It's not likely that Kerry/Gore would have prevented it, but it sure would look different.

The "six-figure" salaries for scientists, yeah right... as a professor who just gave a discussion of global warming in class today I can say that is a big, fat lie! Yes, many of the celebrity (Gore included) proponents of global warming make tons of money and burn tons of fossil fuels, but that doesn't mean that we can ignore the fact that excess CO2 leads to additional warming - don't believe me look at Venus!

Our manufacturing base is dead, instead of looking at global warming and CO2 controls as a bane, lets look at them as a potential boon. I cannot believe that with American know how and ingenuity we cannot out compete the world in building low greenhouse gas technologies, technologies that we can sell to the rest of the world. In fact our anti-pollution technologies used to be second to none, but thanks to those who claim there is no problem we have fallen behind, let us not do the same now.

Systems as complicated as the atmosphere are prone to having tipping points, beyond which the effects go non-linear...these are almost impossible to predict, but perhaps might be approached if we melt the perma-frost and release the stored CO2, or perhaps we might release a catastrophic amount of CO2 by heating the oceans, the key point is we don't know for sure...do you want to risk the end of life so you can have a muscle car for a few more years? Especially if we as Americans can use this to re-invigorate our manufacturing and knowledge-based capabilities? Instead of looking at this as a negative we must turn this into a positive, not just for ourselves but for our children and their children, and their children's children.

ps. despite having worked at top 10 Universities for many years, I have never made more than $100,000 and I can tell you that neither have most of my compatriots (thank you open records laws). Oh, and those $100,000 a year plus grants, after you figure in University overhead and fringe benefits (health care) you are lucky to see 60% of that as salary (if that), after paying your students and post-docs you can imagine how much is left.

Only a massive UFO invasion can save us now from the down winds of Bushco's (CNN/ABC/CBS/FOX) massive and continious chain of unprecidented lies and chilling clusterfvcks of mass deceptions.

President George W. Bush also used his Executive Order to go to WAR with Iraq against the HOUSE vote and Public opinion... motive I'd say so!

Plus, GWB passed HOW MANY pardons to ALL of his criminal friends.

The following is a list of the 75 pardons and 3 commutations by President George H. W. Bush. The list is organized by the date on which President George H. W. Bush granted the pardon or commutation.

Values has been quite subjective.

People valued McMansions, luxury cars, luxury lifestyles, status, title, affiliations etc.

Now that AMERICA will be brought to her knees...

Everyone will be FORCED to value and appreciate the basic fact that they HAVE a Roof over their head, ANY form of Transportation, the Clothes on they ALREADY have and the Food they HAVE to eat!

oh and how about value their life and that of their family!

Quite humbling isn't it...

People like that are stupid, that's why they want socialism. They need someone to control their lives because they are unable to control their own impulses and base instincts. Now they are flocking to Obama.

There are people who want freedom.

There are people who want to be controlled.

the "Obama Bubble" will bust when people realize that he is a shill and can't / won't to sh!t to help people.

He WILL raise taxes but wages will remain flat, effectively causing negative wage growth.

Enjoy the party now!

Over three years ago, I participated in a civil demonstration in West Los Angeles at the Federal Building along with others marching along with 'The World Can't Wait' Group. The organization that has always advocated for the United States to exit Iraq.

Among the group was this older middle aged man, greying hair, bespeckled and none to inshape.

He stood at on sidewalk paralleling the Wilshire Blvd., jamb packed with rush hour traffic.

With an amplified bullhorn he recited the following:

'Both Bush And Cheney MUST be brought up on war crimes charges in front of an International Court of the Hauge'

'TRIED, CONVICTED AND EXECUTED' For their role in the murderous destruction of Nations & Humanity.

It was quite the sight.

ORIGINALFRANK:

I too lived thru the Carter years and there is absolutely NO comparison between this Lying Criminal SOB Bush and Carter. NONE.

And your list proves it.

Nothing in it rises to level of crimes committed by Bush & Cheney whatsoever.

Starting with *LYING* to start a war that has wiped 100,000's of human beings off the face of the earth, including nearly 4000 of our finest, nearly breaking the military completely and bankrupting the country.

I didn't see any of those on your list...

Want me to name more??

C'mon, where are the mouth-breathers who admire and worship bush (besides Frank)?

Tell us about the signed pictures of Bush you taped to your study wall back in 2001. Tell us about the W04 bumper sticker that still adorns your car's bumper. Tell us about the fateful day you donated the maximum to his 2004 re-election campaign and what a rush of exhilaration you felt in your private parts as the ink dried on your donation form.

C'mon, be a man (woman). Tell us how much you admire Skippy McDumbass.

Man you guys make it seem like if Gore or Kerry had won housing wouldn't have bubbled, oil would be $10, the debt would be paid off and cancer would be cured.

Fact is the .com bubble burst and Greenspan slashed rates. That caused the bubble. It would have happened with or without Bush.

China and India would have pushed oil prices high. Maybe not $100, but not far off.

Illegal aliens would have been here with Gore or Kerry. Gore and Kerry, along with Hitlery and Obama both want amnesty as much as Bush does.

The manufcaturing base went away long before Bush ever got to DC. Unions killed manufacturing in the 70s and 80s.

What it comes down to is your hatred of Bush for Iraq. Fine you oppose Iraq, good for you. But get a grip people.

"That's because there is no real "science" behind it. The "scientists" push it because they'd lose their research grants and associated six-figure salaries the moment they admit it's all a lie."

That's because you don't need "science" to read a thermometer and see the evidence all around you. Jackass.

"You forgot to add the fact that he instituted an educational program "No Child Left Behind" that has been a complete failure for students and educators. My wife is a teacher and I hear that frustration of being forced to only teach the math and reading that will help raise standardized test scores so funding won't be taken away."

Ahh your wife is a tacher. In other words your wife is a union member, Democrat voting liberal. Shocking that she hates Bush, shocking I tell you.

NCLB is hated by 'educators' because it exposes them for the fraud they are. The kids can't pass a basic reading test in 4th grade, and yet it is the test that is blamed. How convenient.

How about instead of bitching about the test you actually teach kids how to read? The notion of teaching to test is absurd. Teach a kid how to read and do math and the kid will pass any reading test or math test.

But teaching would involve 'educators' actually getting off their ass for once. Too much to ask for.

Just as once, since folks could see the horizon (evidence all around 'em), they KNEW the world was flat.

"HIGW- human induced global warming- a weird faith based religion"

Liberals don't believe in God or religion. So they make up a new religion. Thou shall blindly believe in global warming no matter how ludicrous the claims are, is one of the 10 commandments.

Oh, and you morons that think you're so clever by changing the 'l' to 't' in Hillary's name.

I'm no fan for Hillary, believe me, however you really gotta come up with something more substantial that proves you have a sliver of an idea of what valid criticism might look like.

I know, it's too much of a puzzle for you to handle, so that's what you end up doing.

Pathetic.

Straw man argument. Obviously you need to retreat to fictional arguments that exist only in your head in a laughable attempt to make some weird, unfocused point.

Truth is, we don't know if things would have been any different under those two. Still, your "the democrats would have done it too" is amazingly weak. Take a critical thinking skills course and get back to us before trying to run with the varsity, junior.
