Bush Administration new 2008 slogan (c/o Henry Paulson): "The worst is just beginning"

Thank you Hank Paulson for saying what we all know was true anyway.

I can't wait to see the bumper stickers!

Thanks
doom for the vid

I could be mistaken, but I think that reporter is one of the The Kids in the Hall.

Woohoo, and Obama will inherit the cancer just in time to blow up in his pathetic face.

"I have a dream..." "Si se puede!" Yeah, right.

Good luck Oprah idiots and pot smokers who play videogame all day, because I'll be watching from overseas while eating popcorn, tax free.

uhh..uhh...uhh...well, uhhh,

Wow, that's got to be the first time this prick has ever made a truthful statement. I think he was truly surprised that he could say something that wasn't total BS.

I'll take an honest assessment of the situation over more spin and hot air any day. Its good that they are now saying worse is yet to come. We CAN handle the truth.

Paulson? Is he still kicking? I thought he died of some hideous SIV disease or something last year. Good riddance!

is the reporter a male for female?

he says we have a diverse economy, here is what he means:

some people are realtors while others are mortgage people,

yet other people actually build and fix up homes, still others stage them for sale,
and dont forget furniture stores selling crap for the new homes. DIVERSE!

A diverse economy?! An economy that is heavily dependent upon the finance industry pushing fraudulent investment vehicles backed by overpriced assets supporting consumer debt driven overspending is not diverse! What a bunch of BS.

Kids in the Hall that's HILARIOUS! The voice especially in perfect!

Some folks on here might be too young, or not enough of a night-owl, to get the reference though...

And just as you thought Fannie Mae could screw up even more..

Fannie Mae Escrow Grab Exposes Shareholders to 24% Loss in Suit

Feb. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Fannie Mae, the largest source of U.S. home-loan money, faces a proposed class-action lawsuit over as much as $7 billion it earned on property owners' escrow accounts starting in the 1970s.

That sound bite was just after this one:

Who ordered the fear with a double side of paranoia?

Official statements are calculated propaganda.

Whether to whip up the masses into a bloodlust frenzy to support a war
or calm the herd nervously eyeing the exits:

#1 - Propaganda feeds delusion.
#2 - Delusion feeds denial.
#3 - Denial leads to disaster.
#4 - Disaster ends in despair.

Is it different this time?

It is never different.

There won't be even a whimper out of the the average person UNTIL
that stuff is taken away. Bread and Circuses...it's an older concept
than freedom itself: Keep them fed (value meals) and happy (internet
porn or movies of the week, reality shows, etc) and they won't make a
peep.
Hence, nobody makes a peep...unfortunately. Most American have no
concept of what's really happening. And they've demonized everybody
that has taken the time to inform and educate themselves about the
current situation as crazy. It's a multi-pronged approach. Give the
sheep more and better diversions while simultaneously demonizing
anyone who can see the truth. And it's working really, really well.
Dumb people are happy, smart people are depressed because of the
current state of the state and some of those are reaching for
anti-depressants to zonk themselves into submission. It's a very gray
painting, the horizon of the future...and it's going to take lots and
lots and LOTS of work to clear it out.

Play the video, click on the '50 second' mark, and let it play for about 4 seconds. Then click on the '50 second' mark again. Watch it for about 4 seconds. Repeat. It's hilarious. He wants so badly to say that it's over.

Looked like Hank wanted out of that room after that question. He seems like such a nice guy. It's hard to imagine that he and his compadres on Wall St. could have cooked up such a ponzi scheme as mortgage backed slime.

This is a joke. There is NO decline of prices in areas of Montgomery county, Bucks County, Chester and Delaware county surrounding Philadelphia. They are still For Sale for years with no reduction. The asking prices are outrageous but no one seems to get the idea that lowering the price will bring about a sale. Instead we are stagnant with houses taking years to sell in some circumstances and others giving up.
Everyone still expects that they will find some fool to buy their overpriced wooden shack.
Once again, check the MLS. Croydon Pennsylvania and you will see the same 60 houses for sale on "Postage Stamp" cuts of property asking an average of 200K and more and these have been for sale now for 2 years running.

His studdering is a sign of nervousness!

The 'PTB' have NOOOOOOOO idea how huge this problem is! That really pisses me off. They can't see beyond their noses. They are so disconnected with OUR reality down here where the problems lay.

If the 'PTB' would simply practice PREPAREDNESS and PREVENTION, perhaps this country wouldn't always be REACTING to events! Even in the reacting arena the 'PTB' are FAILURES!!!!

This applies to other countries as well...

Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure-one world, if you will.
If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."
--David Rockefeller, founder of the Trilateral Commission

What colossal arrogance. He does not understand humanity, who will always resist tyranny.

The Jig is up Dave. What it is to be an American, is to be free.

Treasonous Senate expands domestic spying today. The Patriot Act was not to keep us safe, it was to keep us in.

Obama/Clinton didn't even show up to vote on it.

Is just me, or does Hank seem to be in a bit of a panic?

What does the worst feel like?

Imagine if you bought a house two and a half years ago for $400,000.

Now you want to sell it.

Can you get 400,000 for it?
No.
395,000?
No.
385,000?
No.
375,000?
No.
350,000?
No.
325,000?
No.
300,00?
No.
295,000?
No.
285,000?
No.
275,000?
No.
250,000?
Maybe, but what is so special about your house compared to the 50 other similar houses in the same price range?

HAHAHA,

I just watched the clip again.

It really does look like a kids in the hall sketch.

They have the guy in front with a confused look on his face while he/she is asking the question.

Behind he/she are two women giggling.

That is really surreal.

"Stimulus Checks" ... more BS.

The banks and the Fed just want strapped house debters to continue making payments to the bank, regardless of whether the value of their house falls further and further - they *only* care about their own arses, and are now getting desperate, while trying to maintain a cool disposition.

Also tells you how much the government has been stealing from US tax payers to approve a "bail-out" like this in the first place.
