IT'S TIME FOR CAMPAIGN HISTORY IN THE MAKING - THE RON PAUL TEA PARTY MONEY BOMB IS ON!!!!!

The distinctions between Virginians, Pennsylvanians, New Yorkers, and New Englanders are no more. I Am Not A Virginian, But An American!" - Patrick Henry, 1774

Do your part HP'ers. The Ron Paul Tea Party Money Bomb is on.

Make a statement. Make history. Cause a stir. Promote our interests. Upset this pathetic and laughable presidential field. Put up a fight. And prove me wrong - show the world that America isn't marching lock-step down the wrong path. Show the world that the polls and pundits are wrong. Show the world that Ron Paul can win. I mean seriously, Mike Huckabee? Hillary Clinton? Is America THAT dumb?

Donate at ronpaul2008.com (and check back all day for live cash-haul updates).

Every dollar helps send a message. Be heard. Make a difference. Take a stand. And if the country is too dumb and too unaware for Ron Paul's message of limited government and freedom, at least you'll know you did your part and went down fighting.

Who knows, perhaps a new American Revolution is at hand.

Chicago Tribune - Ron Paul revolution: It has just begun to fight

The disgust with government and the spread of our message, plus the willingness of these individuals on the Internet to organize, is going to make a difference,” - Ron Paul December 2007

The Boston Tea Party was an act of direct action by the American colonists against Great Britain in which they destroyed many crates of tea bricks on ships in Boston Harbor. The incident, which took place on Thursday, December 16, 1773, has been seen as helping to spark the American Revolution.

Message from Ron (12/15/07)

What an amazing mission you and I are on. What great ideas we uphold -- the legacy of the most important thinkers of liberty in our country’s history, and the most important doers of liberty in America. At the top of that list are the donors and volunteers of this campaign.

I could spend all my time thanking personally you and everyone who has done so much for our country’s future, and not scratch the surface of what justice demands. But I want you to know how much I owe you, and everyone dedicated to the real America.

You and I know our real country -- the America of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, of economic, civil, and personal liberty, of strong families and communities, of great businesses and professions, of strong peace and low taxes and sound money -- all of which are under assault by the politicians who occupy our nation’s capital.

With your help -- and I can’t do anything without your help (donate here) -- I want to change all that. Together, we can restore our constitutional republic, and oust the mountebanks who violate the ideals of the Founders with income taxes, Federal Reserve inflation, deficit spending, preemptive wars, torture, secret prisons, and abolition of habeas corpus.

How thrilling too are all the great Independent efforts in this cause, involving so many tens of thousands of patriots. Of course, since they are Independent, the election laws to do not allow me to coordinate with them in any way. But I will mention that this Sunday, I am really going to enjoy my tea at a party!

We are making real progress. And goodness knows we need to. Help (donate here) me keep our revolution going and growing. For freedom, peace, and prosperity, for the real America, all our generosity and hard work are justified.

Sincerely,

Ron

I'm all for a housing crash. Agree with you all the way Keith. However, I am not about to vote or donate to a madman who buys hot air balloons to fly around in. Thanks but no thanks.

Hillary Chaves is sinking... Sweet! I wish Ron had a chance...

I agree, it's time for Ron Paul.

I would only donate to his own website.

It is time! This is fricking amazing! Based on the ratio of this bomb and the last we should break 7 mil.

Okay, Dr. Paul. I just paypaled you my support. This is the first time I've donated to a politician and probably will be my last.

I voted for you in '88, and it was the only vote you got in my town. Let's hope it's a bit different this time around.

"I am not about to vote or donate to a madman who buys hot air balloons"

Yup, most Americans are that dumb. So sad.

Meanwhile, RP is at $13.3 million as of 10:30am EST. Wonder if he'll get near $20M today?

All the other candidates are freaking out right about now, and firing their fundraising and internet chairmen.

Anonymous said...

It wasn't a hot air baloon, it was a blimp. Yeah big difference.

Ron Paul can raise $100M today. All this shows is that his cult followers have some free cash to burn. I doubt anyone is going nuts except the cult followers. Ron Paul is a joke although granted, a well funded joke.

You cannot win the nomination of a party if you #1 isssue goes against the party. Ron Paul might have a chance as a democrat, as a Republican Hillary's got a better chance of winning the nomination.

But hey if you all want to throw your money away on a losing cause, enjoy yourselves.

Malcolm said...

The west coast should be waking up right about now.

FYI: RP on meet the press next week.

Anonymous said...

Keith,

It just broke 2M! Hopefully it will at least break previous record.

I don't trust the previous trend on Nov 5th that much. It was too linear.

Malcolm said...

Keith:

I think it's also worth noting that the Boston Tea Party was the result of a government attempt to charge the taxpayers for the bailout of what the government viewed as an important business interest.

John Polomny said...

Dr. Paul had nothing to do with the blimp it was done by his supporters with no guidance or mone from the campagin. By the way thats how a free market works. When central control is eliminated all sorts of creative ideas can come to fruition.

Not sure that Ron Paul is a doctor
But one thing is for sure he needs a doctor.
There are hospitals in the state of Texas that treat people like him
Some claim to be kings others claim to be gods some claim to be president and even doctors.
With some medication a little professional supervision and cognitive therapy even RP can improve.

Campaign law puts a $2300 limit on donations to a single candidate.

If you donated all of your 401k, this means you had less than $2300 in your 401k.

You really need to save more.

Tell Ron to leave that POS GOP and I might possibly be able to vote for him. Voting for ANY Republican is just flat-out WRONG. Down with them ALL.

I just donated, and one minute later saw my name flash across Ron Paul's website. How cool is that?

It is 10:25 a.m. on the west coast, and Ron Paul is above the 2.7 million mark. He is going to break all records today and turn those smug looks on the mainstream media's faces into fear.

My whole family is outfitted in Ron Paul gear today. It is a Ron Paul Revolution, and we are taking it to the streets.

Ron Paul, president of the United States. Can you feel it? I can.

If you had gone over to dailypaul.com, you'd notice that the old guard republicans are running a little scared!

when I show up at the caucus here in minnesota, it will be a hoot since I'll say: "I'm here because I'm a republican and our state's senator, Norm Coleman, keeps disappointing me as do most of the republicans in washington. Today, let's make history and take Ron Paul's name convention!"

And, as pundits have noted, because the republican party is so divided, Ron Paul could have a big say since noone will dominate and Ron Paul might be a little bit ahead of everyone else!

I put another $250 in today!

yahhhoooo!

Keep wasting your money folks. You may think Americans are dumb, but is it wise to throw your money at someone who will not win?

I just registered as a Republican in California. I have not voted for a Republican candidate before.

Guess who I am going to vote for in my state's primary? Will it make a difference? Who the knows?

But what I find so interesting now is that we have a situation in America where you find people interested in voting for the opposite party. Take a look at how Lieberturd won in Conn. if you don't believe me. He is a "Democrat", yet I bet if you counted how many Repulicans voted for him, you would see that they ensured his victory.

Vote for the candidate who will cause the most problems for your opposition.

I like RP on many issues but he still comes across as out of touch with certain issues like gun control, for example.

Although his defense of the constitution is admirable and honorable, time changes all things.

Gun control is one of those things. Look at any other country where there are tough gun laws on the books and you will find dramatically lower rates of gun violence. Do I need to give examples?

I believe that gun ownership should be dealt with the way operating any dangerous machinery is:

You should have to pass certain qualifications to operate a gun with training, regular certification and safe handling policys, i.e. you mishandle a gun you pay a fine or you have your right to use or carry one outside of your home curtailled or revoked for a period of time depending on the situation.

And as much as Ron would like to allow states to have the say on certain issues, it is not always feasable to take that approach in today's world.

Certain standards and norms must apply to all states. Can you imagine if certain drugs were legal in some states but not others? America needs some standards to apply to all states regardless - look at food processing or any other industry which has public health as it's highest priority.

Weakening certain federal controls would not be in America's best interest in my opinion.

If the Ron Paul revolutionaries make enough noise we may just all end up in FB wonderland.

---

Dude you are so wrong. In England and Australia all guns were banned in the 90s. Within 5 years gun violence rose dramatically in both countries. If you make owning a gun illegal all it does is allow criminals to own guns while law abiding people are made into criminals.

You only have to look at Washington DC. Most strict gun laws in the country and not surpringly the most violent city in the nation.

Only the biggest morons in the world still believe in gun control. You and Rosie O'Donnell.

Good luck with that.

"Gun control is one of those things. Look at any other country where there are tough gun laws on the books and you will find dramatically lower rates of gun violence."

although I'm no fan of guns, the gun is a symbol of power and, to prove we're a grassroots democracy, the people want to demonstrate that with guns; they're a symbolic icon of empowered people.

regardless, even Tim Nichols, in Bowling for Columbine, had clear limits on the actual arsenal people could control.

For those of you worried about some of Ron Paul's viewpoints, just remember that stating change and making change are two different things. Even if Ron Paul were elected President, he would have an uphill battle to get a lot of these things done. Change will not happen overnight, but the bottom line is change has to happen somewhere and with someone. It may as well be Ron Paul. Let's get the party rolling.

I usually vote Republican because of issues like crime, death penalty, defense, welfare, taxation and such. I have given up because they failed to uphold the laws the past few years regarding white collar crime and illegal immigration. I won't vote Democrat because they are too soft on violent criminals and too generous with welfare and affirmative racism. There are also too many hate-America nuts in the Democrat party.

My only choice left is Ron Paul. I don't agree with everything he says, but he is much more palatable than the idiotic right-wing neocons and left-wing social engineers

Everyone in Switzerland is required to own a gun and they have among the lowest violent crime rates in the world. Mexico has outlawed guns, yet Mexico is a very dangerous country where even the police are regularly slaughtered like animals. It has more to do with the people and culture.

Get your facts straight. Since the UK banned handguns, London now has the highest violent crime rate in the Western world and is known as "The New Beirut." Glasgow now has the #2 crime rate in the Western world.

The same thing is happening in Australia.

By the way, our Supreme Court is now pro-gun for the first time in over 60 years and they will prove to be the most powerful force in striking down unconstitutional gun control laws, starting with the DC case in March.

Did you know that Justice Alito supports repeal of all gun control, including restrictions on owning machine guns?

Yep....

Please do not mistake "Gun control" with making gun ownership illegal. Do not jump to that conclusion. To reiterate what I said:

I believe you should have to pass certain qualifications to operate a gun with training, regular certification and safe handling policys, i.e. you mishandle a gun you pay a fine or you have your right to use or carry one outside of your home curtailled or revoked for a period of time depending on the situation.

That is precisely what they have in Switzerland.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_politics_in_Switzerland

Do these restritions infringe upon the Swiss citizens' right to own a firearm. I believe they do not. Moreover, they also help to keep people prepared as to how to use a firearm correctly.

It's similar to that first aid class you had to take in order to get your driver's license. How many of you can remember exactly how to perform CPR, treat serious wounds, mouth-to-mouth, remove an injured person properly from a vehicle. Or is that not required as a condition for getting your driver's license. How about a vision test?

Gun training as a condition of gun ownership makes perfect sense to me. How many of you would feel comforatable defending the rights of a mentally unstable neighbor who had an affinity for a gun, rifle, assault rifle, etc. Wouldn't you want to know that that individual had passed the appropriate tests required to own a gun?

"I believe guns and humans can peacefully co-exist. We don't necessarily need to outlaw humans to make guns safer."

I hate to break it to everyone, but no politician is going to fix this country. Ron Paul can't stop the housing collapse and the housing collapse is likely to bring down other industries too. If nothing else, if Ron Paul really did represent a threat to the status quo in DC, do you think he'd be getting the publicity he gets now? I don't see the LP getting the same publicity as RP. If anyone other than a Democrat or Republican gets voted into office, the USA is done. Kaput. The USA was made to be a one-party system, just like the USSR. The only parties that have held the individual state republics together have been the Ds and the Rs. Vote in an outsider, and it's analogous to a non-Communist being voted into office in the USSR when it existed.

No one will save this country from an economic meltdown. Housing drops 50%? That's $10 trillion down the drain. We could try to bail them out, but that would ruin the dollar. The dollar is how the USA runs the planet. US$ = political power. Absolute power is not given up so easily.

Anonymous said...

I still can't get enthusiastic about RP because he doesn't have a serious approach to global warming. libertarian who can't let go of orthodoxy when the planet's on fire is just another mullah... we need pragmatic leaders now.

Didn't the dotcom crash wipe out $8 trillion? It will be hard times, but mankind will survive. Without the construction industry, hopefully many Turd World illegal immigrants will go home since they don't have the skills to work in other industries.

BTW - My friend's car got hit by an illegal immigrant. He has no drivers license, no insurance, no registration. The cop wrote him a ticket and let him go with his car. If he was a US citizen, his car would be impounded and he would be in jail. Thank you liberal sanctuary cities.
