I had to post - here's an idiot in nouveau riche (and crashing) Arizona driving 219 mph on a Phoenix freeway and putting it on youtube

Does anyone else miss Phoenix before the conmen, realtors, mortgage brokers, porn stars and other assorted scum moved in? The housing crash and mortgage meltdown will be the best thing that ever happened to that town. Beautiful desert, nice weather (8 months), could've been a great place, but the people are runing it. Phoenix and Scottsdale need a scum enema (and I think they're getting one right about now)

Hat-tip to my favorite blog dirtyscottsdale for this one, although they took down the posts about the driver. I liked this updated video below too:

Further Proof that Phoenix is crashing hard... There are hardly any cars on that HWY.

a) people should do what they want as long as they don't endanger others or commit crimes

b) people should get all the money they want as long as they do it ethically, legally and have some class

c) people should make all the youtube videos they want and when dumb ones like these twits make videos of their crimes, we all know what'll happen

d) people should work. not con, not steal, not cheat. they should work.

e) people are free to live in phoenix, shop at walmart, buy crap they don't need from china and take up space on this planet without giving back. I suggest there's a better way.

KEEFER,

No dude everyone should live in a hovel basebemnt apartment. Making money is evil. Capitalism is evil. That is the HP/Socialst way to go brutha.

I kept looking forward to the moment where he crashes the car. Then he never crashed and I realized I misread the post title.

Keith,
I am curious and welcome your opinion. I buy and sell antiques which can be construed as coning for profit as we buy at a level where we can turn the item for a profit and we never know exactly what we will get. What percentage of an items estimated value should we pay in your view? Typically we pay about half. On fast moving liquid items as much as 95%. Clearly there is a need for dealers, much the same as there is a need for vulture or cockroach in nature. Someone has to clean up the mess. You promote Ron Paul as I do but seem to lean towards regulatio, law and government interference. Is not free market and non interference by government one of the protections of the Constitution?

As for the race car, I agree. That fellow is going to make a huge mess and ruin people’s lives due to reckless endangerment. I can see the correlation between his behavior and the REIC as the effect of their business dealings also ruin peoples lives.

My dealings never ruin lives but do hurt pride from time to time. This is my rationalization.

Don't care where he lives, or how much money he has or what he drives or how fast.

Try for 225

Just don't kill me when on on my way to work at 2:20 am

Just three nights ago I almost had one hell of a wreck when I came up on a guy without tail lights. I couldn't see him until I was almost on top of him! A quick swerve and luckily no one in the next lane saved me!!!

I was doing about 40 to 45 he was doing about 20.......you do the math,

It wasn't 219

Heard that this guy is an ex-dentist turned internet pornographer. Apparently he films some of the women porn-stars on his Lambo. Sorry, not sure which website.

Phoenix sucks! Any system that rewards LOSERS like this sucks more.

Won't be much longer before the veil of economic prosperity that these low-lives are trying so hard to maintain goes up in flames.

It's 90% of the Dumbocrat sheep way. They still think Cuba is a workers paradise and walk around with their Che Guevarra t-shirts like a bunch of idiotic hippies. I can't wait for those stupid baby boomer hippies to die off. The world will be a better place.

The constitution does call for interstate regulation of commerce. Another thing is that corporations do not have any protection under the Constitution. They are supposed to be regulated by the governments and should be tightly regulated due to their structure. When a private business owner dumps toxic waste in the river he will go to prison. When a corporation dumps toxic wate in a river, they get fined. Management who committed the crime walks away free while innocent shareholders get hurt. Look at Merrill and Citi. Shareholders are getting crushed for the criminal actions of the CEO's and their cronies. The CEO's walk away with hundreds of millions of dollars while mutual fund, 401k and pension fund holders hold the bag.

Doing 219 MPH on the highway doesn't impress me. It just shows how stupid some people are. Probably a flipper. There is always someone faster. In fact there is a woman who is faster by 10MPH. Danica Patrick, and she does that on a racetrack where it belongs and doesn't endanger innocent people.
Now take the exotic car rental back, scumbag. You can only afford to rent it for 1 night.

Anonymous said...

Going straight at 219...anyone can do that. I've driven 185 and it was no biggie. It was as fast as my car could go.

Try some cornering a 125 then I'll be impressed. That shows driving skills, not going in a straight line on an empty freeway.

What happened to Phoenix is a real shame. I remember first visiting there in the late 90s and my excitement of moving there in 2000.

I was a single young professional and loved it. I moved in the spring of 2000, and to my delight, I went out in old town Scottsdale several nights a week and met nothing but other suit-and-tie young professionals and many beautiful, intelligent young women and for about two years I had the best social life of my life.

Then something changed, like a switch was flipped. The intelligent young professional women began to rapidly disappear and were replaced by bimbos who were proud to be strippers at Babes. You couldn't go out without listening to some blowhard jackass in a hawaiian shirt tell you how much money he's making in real estate.

By 2003 all normalcy had exited and they were replaced by fakes, phonies, druggies, strippers, pimps and whatever else.

Last time I went out there in 2006 /early 2007 before moving away the bars and clubs were all dead and empty and nobody had any money left to spend.

After my last two visits I couldn't believe how much worse the place had gotten in just a matter of months and couldn't wait to leave and and take a shower.

What a shame. Phoenix used to be a great place to live.

And right on cue, Frank chimes in with his wisdom about Arizona. Frank, we get it: you hate Arizona now. Fine. Most people leave places they don't like and forget about them.

LET IT GO.

Keith, how long will you stay negative? How long will you keep barking that the sky is falling? Then the sky won't fall and the world marches onto even greater prosperity while you are stuck in your underground bunker with your gold, guns and canned goods. You CRACK ME UP!

Anonymous said...

Frankie,

That is such a load of shit. So what happened to the "good" people? They just up and left one day? Doesn't happen like that. Sounds to me like what happened was the "good" people started hanging elsewhere and left you behind with the strippers and real estate flippers.

You go to any message board in any city and everyone sounds like you. Grass is always greener, women are more attractive and easier/less bitchy everywhere else but in _________, __.

I've lived in Boston, Jacksonville, Dallas and San Antonio. 4 very distinct cities and yet I constantly heard the same shit in all 4 places. Women here are bitches. Women are gold diggers. The weather sucks (too hot or too humid or too snowy). The bar scene sucks. Everything sucked.

Human nature is to always complain about one's current situation. I on the other hand enjoyed myself and still do anywhere I go. Happiness is about you and making the best of what you have not where you live.

Anonymous said...

it still is DB! you base your judgement of the place on who goes to the bars? give me a friggin break i have lived here for 25 years and am raising a happy well adusted family in mccormick ranch- what kind of lame shallow ahole judges an entire city based on who goes to a bar? and i hate to break it to you sport but there are WAY WAY more $30k millionares in socal than there are in scottsdale-you see the lame asses trying to score in EVERY CITY in the U.S.--FACT.

Anonymous said...

You had to say where you live? "mccormick ranch" whats your point with where you live?

Anonymous said...

I have never lived in either Phoenix or L.A.. But I have spent enough time in both over the years to get good sense of both. Without a doubt, given a choice of where to live I would choose Phoenix.

A more fake, more plastic, more vapid culture does not exist than Los Angeles. Anyone here who lives there and bashes Phoenix needs to look in the mirror. Remember, Phoenix was only trying to be the next L.A. It didn't even come close....and that's a good thing. And also remember the flippers, strippers, get rich quick artists that you all detest so much came from....you guessed KA-LI-FOH-NIA.

This is the case with Las Vegas as well. Pre-2000 it was a mid-sized, low tax, live-and-let-live Southwest city. Crime was low, taxes were incredibly low, housing was very affordable, traffic was practically non-existent. Then one day a million Californians decided to move to the desert. Now crime is out of control, traffic is a nightmare, taxes are increasing every year and you know about cost of living.

The California cancer has also spread to Oregon, Montana and I hear now it's slowly making its way to Austin too.

McCormick is a haven for mediocrities who can't make it anywhere else..matter of fact:

Phoenix?Scottsdale and it surrounding metro area is finding its
own level.

Basically, a repository of mediocre poorly educated
bottom-feeders seeking cheap banal living and easy
money. This soulless mix of carpet-bagging transients,
budget seniors,tato0ed misfits, real estate grifters,
toothless white trash
tweakers, minimum wage job seekers and pseudo
Scottsdale millionaires has created a major population
center that masquerades as a major metropolis but is
really one big cow town.
A bleak barren landscape with terrible weather, traffic
congestion, bad air, stuffed with ugly stucco houses
and big box retailers peddling Chinese crap, corporate
food, and a dumbed down semi-literate citizenry,
Phoenix metro epitomizes the lowest commom denominator
of American cities.
If somehow, by either plan or accident, you're living
in metro Phoenix, you rank on the bottom rungs of the
intelligence charts. The only reason to be here,
(temporarily), is if you're making a decent income
(absolute min. 250k per yr). Anything less is not
worth it, as your health, mental well being and
personal esteem will deeply suffer by living in this
genetic cesspool of half-breeds.

As someone posted here before,
Metro Phoenix, AZ:
"There is no there, THERE".

If I had a Lamborghini when I was 25-30, I'd probably do the same thing.

It's dangerous as hell, but they planned this out a bit. Very early morning, no traffic. Looks like they had spotters along the road (note the camera work) to look for traffic.

I wouldn't do it today, but 10 years ago I probably would have been the instigator.

Hmmm, wrong, the world will be a better place without crook republicans and their boot lickers, and hicks from red states. No wonder Cubans notoriously vote republican.

Thank god the blue states carry this country on their backs, because the inbred hicks from red states are not able to create anything innovative.

Imagine this country without Amazon.com, Movie Industry, Oracle, Google, Silicon Valley, etc, etc, etc...this country would be a huge wasteland of inbreds, no doubt. And the blue state are the ones that pay more taxes in the country, just to carry this bunch of unproductive crook inbreds.

But Phoenix has rubberized asphalt freeways. Those are the best.

Smooth. Quiet. Apparently fast.

I am sure a lot of people offered too much for a house so they could drive on those nice freeways.

They are even nicer now that they are noticeably more empty.

Anonymous said...

I can't drive 219 in my H1 but did get a speeding ticket on the 101 between Tatum and 7th street going west bound.

The 101 is 5 lanes in each direction and has the rubberized asphalt surface. It's very smooth and responsive. You are going 95 along with everyone else going 95 and it just seems normal.

I have been passed like I was standing still almost every time I'm on the 101.

Still, the cops will not bother you if the entire pack is going the same speed. Its when those idiots who have to go 65 mess it up for everyone. They just get in the way.

Poor Frankie....even his own posters are beginning to recognize his doucheness and turning on him over at his blog. "coincidentally" he claims he has now grown "tired" of bagging on Scottsdale and now wants to shut it down. We can only hope!!!

Oh, please, smart guy, tell us more about what we Democrats (oh, I'm sorry, "Dumbocrats." zing!) believe. You seem to have such a good grasp on what each and every one of us believe, you must be a mind reader.

Strawmen arguments rarely win, my son.

2:14 you sound like a very common breed of LA-Basher who didn't land the part, didn't sell the screenplay, didn't get invited to any good parties, didn't get into the club, couldn't get a table at a good restaurant, couldn't find a dealer for your art, doors of many and varied kinds slammed in your face...then after a few years of this rejection, living in some squalid apartment, more than likely in the Palms district or the Valley, finally throwing in the towel and leaving, bitterly blaming the city for your failure. See right through you.
