Charity? Nah!
Taste? Of course not!
Humility? No chance!
Puke. I hope to see the Indians torch this place one day, French-Revolution-style.
Inside The World's First Billion-Dollar Home
Forbes estimated Ambani's net worth at $43 billion in March. Reliance Industries was founded by Mukesh's father, Dhirubhai Ambani, in 1966, and is India's most valuable firm by market capitalization. The couple, who have three children, currently live in a 22-story Mumbai tower that the family has spent years remodeling to meet its needs.
Like many families with the means to do so, the Ambanis wanted to build a custom home. They consulted with architecture firms Perkins + Will and Hirsch Bedner Associates, the designers behind the Mandarin Oriental, based in Dallas and Los Angeles, respectively.
Plans were then drawn up for what will be the world's largest and most expensive home: a 27-story skyscraper in downtown Mumbai with a cost nearing $2 billion, says Thomas Johnson, director of marketing at Hirsch Bedner Associates. The architects and designers are creating as they go, altering floor plans, design elements and concepts as the building is constructed.

I had to post - here's an idiot in nouveau riche (and crashing) Arizona driving 219 mph on a Phoenix freeway and putting it on youtube
Does anyone else miss Phoenix before the conmen, realtors, mortgage brokers, porn stars and other assorted scum moved in? The housing crash and mortgage meltdown will be the best thing that ever happened to that town. Beautiful desert, nice weather (8 months), could've been a great place, but the people are runing it. Phoenix and Scottsdale need a scum enema (and I think they're getting one right about now)
Hat-tip to my favorite blog dirtyscottsdale for this one, although they took down the posts about the driver. I liked this updated video below too:

HousingPANIC Stupid Question of the Day
Will REIC-infested bubble cities like Phoenix/Scottsdale, Miami, San Diego, Las Vegas and Tampa get back to normal after the crash? After the nouveau riche get wiped away, after the REIC are back at their bartender, Taco Bell and call center jobs and after people realize that houses are homes, not lottery tickets?
Please say yes. One day I may want to come back to the US, but not until it's safe.
