Everyone I hear - presidential candidates, congressmen, TV commentators, the MSM, etc. - all say "there are 12 million people here illegally". They say it like it's a proven fact, not open for discussion, the way things are. Probably based on this study by the Pew group.
That always bothered me, since NOBODY HAS ANY FLIPPIN IDEA how many illegals are here. Why? BECAUSE THEY'RE HERE ILLEGALLY!!! Not a lot of illegals lining up to be counted if you know what I mean.
Well, there's a new study out today that says there's 38 million illegals here. Uh, kind of a wide range there, eh?
Well, here's the new HousingPANIC study:
Based on absolutely nothing except what I saw with my own two eyes, According to a recent HousingPANIC study, there are over 100 million people in America illegally today.
There. There's your new number. Start citing it. It has as much validity as either of these two other "studies" or the US government. 100 million.
And regardless of the true number, the big question is: What will the illegals do now that the housing bubble has popped, the jobs have dried up, and the states are making it illegal to hire an illegal?
James Walsh, a former associate general counsel of the Immigration and Naturalization Service, said he is "appalled" that the Bush administration, lawyers on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and every Democratic presidential candidate, with the exception of Joe Biden, have no problem with sanctuary cities for illegal aliens.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the sanctuary cities and the people that support them are violating the laws of the United States of America. They're violating 8 USC section 1324 and 1325, which is a felony -- [it's] a felony to aid, support, transport, shield, harbor illegal aliens," Walsh stated.
Walsh said his analysis indicating there are 38 million illegal aliens in the U.S. was calculated using the conservative estimate of three illegal immigrants entering the U.S. for each one apprehended. According to Walsh, "In the United States, immigration is in a state of anarchy -- not chaos, but anarchy."
