Ron Paul. Kudlow. Housing Crash. Subprime Disaster. Mortgage Meltdown. Government Bailout. Fed Policy.

Nice to see it all come together.

Ron Paul - the ONLY HousingPANIC candidate. Damn, this guy gets it.

So, we get rid of the Fed. Then the super rich like JP Morgan scores huge when it comes to bailout time?!?

THIS IS THE STUPIDEST IDEA EVER!

without the "privately owned" FED's meddling, and beyond the initial transition period of an adjustment.....there would be NO bailout necessary in the forseeable future..as our $ would be backed with something substantial..duh....

With the FED in place, when such bailouts (mentioned)occur, the FED prints the money, and we ALL get to pay the interest...to these so-called rich folks you mention.....

Is it just me or is this guy making more and more sense every time I listen to him?

When I first saw this guy's campaign platform I thought he was pretty fringe and not in a good way. Now I think this guy is extremely fringe but in the best way possible.

RP for prez!

Yeah, RB makes sense while the others babble. The problem he faces is how can a man with his intellect appeal to the largely dumb-ass single woman voting block that will elect the next President? The fact that he is an M.D. gives him a chance, but to win he is going to have to say and do things totally out of character from his current platform.

IOW, to get elected, RP can't be RP anymore.

Ron Paul is just as sleazy as any other American politian. Did you not notice how uncomfortable he was when it was pointed out to him that he voted for pork spending for his own constituents

If America can spend a half a trillion dollars on a war, it can also spend a half a trillion at home - e.g giving health care to the quarter of the population who do not have it

Tell us Keith do you like cheap socialized medicine in the UK?

That's what Reps are supposed to do. Bring home the bacon (or shrimp, here).

Unfortuantely, he makes too much sense, just as Ross Perot did.
Remember Ross with his charts, talking about "if you can't afford it don't buy it!"

Paul won't get far. He clearly isn't part of the good ol boy mentality.

We need a leader that will keep the system going, not try and destroy it.

Your comment above just PROVES how the DUMBING DOWN of America has been a GREAT success...

No, Ron Paul doesn't completely get it.

The problem was BAD underwriting standards, and that came from an anti-goverment anti-regulatory ideology.

And Ron Paul drinks that koolaid too. He isn't part of the Iron Triangle, thankfully but he's a different sort of loon.

The idea that without the Fed there wouldn't be crazy booms and busts is entirely 100% wrong, as proven by banking history in the US in the 19th century.

Really, it was even WORSE then.

A more traditional moderate prudent but constant regulatory framework, with reasonable but not ridiculous rates would have been right. I.e. Fed policy prior to republican-toady Greenspan.

Hey dumbass "amigauser", he voted against the spending bills. He always does. Listen to what he says.

The media knows exactly how to manipulate your weak minds into believing exactly what they want you to believe.

He starts of well, saying let the market sort things out and then he's off into libertarian la-la land talking about slashing government spending by 50%-80%, getting rid of the department of education, energy etc. This guys got no change, which is a good thing for this country.

HPer's time to put your thinking caps on...

Ron Paul said, "The Dept. of Homeland Security ["DHS"] doesn't serve our purposes."

Whose purposes does DHS serve?

And what are those purposes?

You're right. He's NOT part of the old boys club.

And this is the first time in my lifetime we have a chance to elect someone who represents US.

Get on board people. He's gonna win.
