Ron Paul: "Maybe Freedom is Popular"

It really is a shame so many Americans like idiots and monkeys to run their country. You do have a choice you know...

Watch this Ron Paul speech - the whole thing. The man thinks in paragraphs, not sound bites and memorized BS. Now picture Rudy, McCain, Hillary or any of the other MSM-promoted candidates trying to give a speech without their notes and their advisers.

You have a choice you know...

You have a choice...

It's really a shame this guy is so ass-backwards on national defense because he's 100% spot on when it comes to everything else.

Behind every great fortune is a crime, and behind every politician is are controlling rich families looking for protection from the law...

The reasons amerikan sheepsters keep electing the perverted and repacious DemonRATs and GOPhers?

They love it when rich people get away with crime.

The Democratic front runners think they have "a new direction for America" a la Nancy Pelosi's schwag. I'd argue their new direction is really just a vector about 1 degree away from what the Republicans are doing; a lot of the same except with more entitlements for the lower class and an outright fleecing of anyone who makes over $100k.

Ron Paul is the only politician in Washington not seeking power. He can't wait to get it so he can relinquish it. The man submits budget earmarks, and then vetoes them in the same session!

The man has principals and that's why people the people chose him. Remember that the GOP and the DNC chose Clintons, Bushes, Kennedys, etc. Ron Paul shows up to rallies that people throw in his honor, not vice versa. I don't think anyone has feelings for the other candidates that register higher than a dull hunger pain. Ron Paul gives people butterflies, like they're going to get laid for the first time again.

I think Ron Paul would have done exactly the same thing as the Bush Administration as the housing bubble unfolded. Including renominate Alan Greenspan.

OK, he's right on when it comes to illegal immigration, but what are his positions on:

1. Trade
2. Energy/Environment
3. National Security
4. Social Security/Medicare

???

Those are just some of the important issues that come to mind...

yes we have a choice perhaps ....but do we? God I hope so. I think the voting systems in this country have been compromised with this electronic voting fiasco that has befallen our election cycles now. so.......i am going to vote for this man. now then. i am going to give it one more shot. one more time. this is all we have. this is it folks. it is this important. this man. a man who came along at just the right moment, at just the right time, in our national history....saying just the right things........and these things happen to be true.......this man......who has no vices.......who cares not about money and power but only good for us as a people.......this man, who has turned down this lucrative retirement benefit from being in congress all these many years........this man, who is humble and God fearing and is honest and straight forward in his ideas and his plans for this country......if we , as a people do not step up this time and attempt to vote this man in as president of the united states......then we shall reap the whirlwind my friends.......i advocate right here and right now, without a shadow of a doubt, without so much as a hesitation on my part...ladies and gentlemen, i advocate the total rebellion against this tyrannical government and this tyrannical banking system that has taken over this nation now......i advocate that every red blooded american man and woman hit the streets, armed and ready to go and to fight ........just like they did in hungary in 1956, so we can do so and more.......we must......we can.........we will.........if this man is not elected to his rightful place as the leader of this nation , then the time for talking is over.....it is finished.......this nation is finished...there is no more time for talking......no more compromise........no more wishful thinking......no more dreaming......no more hesitation.....no more , no more.......

ladies and gentlemen......i am going to give this system one more time to work and work correctly....and if they screw this man out of this election and therefore screw us as well.........then there is no other rational direction that we must go....no none, nada......we must win with ron paul in 2008 or else.......

or else it is time to hit the streets in general rebellion and civil war.........the likes of which has not been seen in this country and will not again....God willing of course......May God bless this endeavor if indeed it does happen....and unfortunately i think it will......

Conrad Black doesn't think so ... possible 35 year jail term for the arrogant twat.

God bless Ron Paul: he's anti-unAmerican.

Love what he stands for,but if he ever made it he would be castrated, blackmailed, and if that didn't work, assassinated.
He can't save what we don't have in the first place.and we don't know what we want.
we all seem to know whats good for everyone else though.

If the American People ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation then by deflation, the banks and the corporations which grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Thomas Jefferson

Vote Ron Paul

it's time for someone to represent the people, without kowtowing to god damn special interest groups.

Under Ron Paul's humanitarian market:

* Minimum wage < $1
* Poor people will turn to "underground" doctors and dentists (this is already happening)
* No safety laws, no environmental standards

Sounds like Mexico?

I see on one of the other YouTube videos that CNN reported on a site called Eventful Politics (www.eventful.com/politics) where you can invite a celebrity to your hometown. Looks like Ron Paul is the second most requested political candidate behind only Barack Obama. Take that Hillary.

Next the statesmen will invent cheap lies, putting the blame upon the nation that is attacked, and every man will be glad of those conscience-soothing falsities, and will diligently study them, and refuse to examine any refutations of them; and thus he will by and by convince himself that the war is just, and will thank God for the better sleep he enjoys after this process of grotesque self-deception. ~Mark Twain, The Mysterious Stranger 1916.

haven't we done this sort of thing way too long now? how much longer?

then comes a man named ron paul, in the year of our Lord 2007. Shall we continue in our ways or shall we change course? the time is now and now is the time for change, is it not?

Its' really a shame that some people fail to see that he's actually spot on about everything, defense included.

Look at history - it's on his side. Every time.

Didn't China just execute their most corrupt bureaucrat who looks like Chiang in the last season of 24? Sick.

Uncanny resemblance. Food for the masses? (in lieu of tainted pet food for the masses).

Nice PR job guys. Thought we forgot. But I have TIVO and JUST WATCHED IT!

Another $50 to RP from the tinfoil hat crowd.

Dude,

We should execute our most corrupt bureaucrat who looks like someone on a Chinese TV series. Just to let them know we're not fools.

Yeah your right Frank. What an idiot Ron Paul is for wanting to bring our troops home and station them on the U.S. border.
Anyone with half a brain knows we need to keep spending $10 billion every month to get our asses kicked by a bunch of sandal wearers in a sandbox. Yeah, good call. If we don't fight them over there, then they will all get on their water breathing camels and swim the ocean in a mass invasion. Spooky.

Ron Paul has a lot of support from the young democratic base, which is why his numbers still suck related to the GOP primaries. The problem with his positions is that he's a pro-lifer. His way of avoiding that issue is to throw abortion laws back onto the states, which would have the likely result of causing abortion to become illegal in all "red" states.

You say that stuff like it's a bad thing!

If your such a republican hater, why are you pushing Ron Paul constantly?
Get behind your Oback or Hillary and leave the politics to adults

Anonymous said...

Frank....did you know that we spend more on national defense than the next 8 countries combined?
How much is enough(?)...especially when we are $8 trillion in debt.

WOW. THAT was a killer speech.

"Under Ron Paul's humanitarian market:

Yes, and at 35$=1Ounce gold, I think we'd all be very happy! Problem is, we now have wages at ~10FRN, FRN NOT EQUQL TO A DOLLAR.

This is what Ron Paul understands. The poor get poorer because holding FRN is the man with his hand in their pocket.

"Conrad Black doesn't think so ... possible 35 year jail term for the arrogant twat."

But for every Conrad Black there are 1000 other fraudsters "living the American dream".

BTW, Lord Black isn't an American at all, in fact his home country doesn't even claim him anymore ;-)

On the other hand we've got people like Bill Gates, who walked on peoples backs to the top and is the darling of the pop culture sheepsters...
