It's George Bush's "National Homeownership Month". It's also HP's "National I Sure Hope You've Sold and Are Renting Month"

What else would you expect from the worst president in US history? But hey, it's nice to see the National Association of Homebuilders and National Association of Realtors and the National Association of Mortgage Brokers get what they paid for, eh?

Bush's thinking: Hey, let's tell the suckers to go out and buy a home, regardless of price, regardless of the fundamentals and regardless whether they can afford it. That'd be cool! Maybe we should call it "National Pay Big Commissions to REALTORS and Mortgage Brokers Month". Or "National They Ain't Makin' More Land Month", or maybe even "National If You Don't Buy Now You'll Be Priced Out Forever Month".

The Great Housing Crash will make this guy not just the worst president in US history. He'll be ushered out of office as the least popular president in US history too. Good riddance.

National Homeownership Month, 2007 (Also called "National Massive NAR PAC funding thank you month")

A Proclamation by the President of the United States of America

Owning a home is part of the American dream, and National Homeownership Month is an opportunity to encourage our citizens to explore the benefits of owning a home.
Owning a home provides a source of security and stability for many of our citizens.

My Administration is committed to fostering an ownership society and helping more Americans realize the great promise of our country. Today, nearly 70 percent of Americans own their homes, and the rate of minority homeownership has climbed to above 50 percent since I took office in 2001.

In addition, the American Dream Downpayment Act of 2003 is helping thousands of low to moderate income and minority families with the downpayment and closing costs on their homes.

During National Homeownership Month and throughout the year, I urge citizens to consider homeownership opportunities in their communities, and I applaud American homeowners for helping fuel the economy.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2007 as National Homeownership Month. I call upon the people of the United States to join me in recognizing the importance of homeownership and building a more prosperous future.

Keith, it's obvious why this brief jail stint is hitting Paris Hilton so badly -- she's a junkie.

When your best pal Nicole is a heroin addict -- I won't say was, because there's no way she kicked it, she's such a lightweight -- and you're on the L.A. party circuit, you're using drugs, exotic hard stuff, candy store. Normally, this would not present a problem in jail, because, as Richard Speck showed, you can get anything inside. The problem is that Paris is in protective custody, separated from the general population, without access to drugs. While our prison system is full of corrupt prison guards who deal narcotics in their work, do you think any one of them will stick his neck out for such a high-profile, and unreliable, short-timer like her? No way, not worth putting the operation at risk, forget it.

So our heroine Paris is cold-turkey clean right now. Under house arrest, she could play XBOX and party like Richard Pryor in 1977. Instead, she's crawling the cell walls in horror like Frank Sinatra in The Man With the Golden Arm.

This isn't some celebrity "rehab" spa, this is real junkie withdrawal, alone, and it's tearing her up. She's like one I saw the other day in Seattle, who was aching for a fix and shaking badly as he walked down 3rd Ave. This guy was a raw, open wound, sheer hunger. Since she's always got money around, it may be her first time through this.

Alone. Without Xanax and Jamba Juice smoothies. Poor little rich girl!

I wonder what the Bush administration is more: stupid or shameless

Then Mike Brown gets the heave-ho and we learn he was a political appointee with a background in Arabian horse shows...

My closing is July 20; My house is selling to a buyer with 100% financing with 15K give back on 530K to a buyer who must escrow six months of payments. (poor bastard)

I signed a rental contract last night for a High end rental 800K townhouse for 2500 a month. It sucks to move but e-Trade pays 5.36 percent interest on my money which will net me over 10K a year in interest. Why do I feel like I am doing something wrong (like I am committing and getting away with a crime)?

Oh for crying out loud take a deep breath, adjust your tin foil hat and count to 10.

Every month is something. I think this month is also Asian Heritage Month. Or is it Native American Heritage month? Or is today National African American Executive Administration Appreciation Day? Who can keep up with it all?

Only the most paranoid fools out there take notice of this tripe.

Can we all please just stop with the "American Dream" garbage?

Let's see,
Bush's "immigration reform" - delusional
Bush's "stay the course we'll be in Iraq 50 years" policy -
delusional
Bush's "homeownership society" -
delusional
Congressional members who support him - delusional

Our country is being run by elitists so out of touch with reality that it reminds me of What's-his-face in Baghdad during the 2003 invasion who insisted that U.S. troops were nowhere near Baghdad while U.S. Abrams tanks rolled into the city behind him.
National Homeownership Month - are they having one last joke at the country's expense?

WELL, no one can say Bush hasn't clearly staked out HIS position. He seems to think he's done good here, fueling a speculative bubble, claiming home ownership has hit almost 70% (when the reality is buying a home with a toxic 10-year 'interest only' loan comes no where close to home ownership!).

There's absolute proof that Bush is complicit here, the Master Architect (with Greenspan as the 'go to' guy), and like the old saying goes, the fish stinks from the head down...

Ya gotta love that Chimp.

If things are so good here, and he's so damn worried about fueling the economy, why in the Hell is he and the family buying 98,000 acres in Paraguay?

The man should be Impeached for dereliction of his duties as Presidente', er...President because he has allowed a wide open border for his entire term in office even after 9/11. If wide open borders isn't a national security issue, then nothing is.

Bush is a liberal Republican who vacated his party, but the worst ever - not by a LONG shot! Remember Jimmy Carter? Anyway, the worst is yet to come, and her name is Hillary Clinton. When she gets elected, we'll have had 20+ years of either Clintons or Bushes as presidents, and by the time she runs for re-eletion, 24 years of bliss...

Anonymous said...

Like how Bush demonizes the right wing opposition to his amnesty bill?

The man is an ungrateful jerk as well as being incompetent. I hope his approvals go down to the teens, even that is a mystery.

Pat Buchanan put it best; it's his (Bush's) effort to show the mainstream media that Bush is the enlightened progressive from a party of dysfunctional retards.

Please. The worst president in the history of the U.S. was Kennedy. Hands down, no question.

worst president? I think Carter still has bushy beat.

Questions: what other president had 28% approval ratings in his last years in office?

Thanks right, it was peanut boy. he was a TOTAL disaster. Busy still has another, what, 18 months to out do carter? So, the fat lady hasn't sung yet.

According to Kieth, everything is George's fault. If so then please refer to him as King George. We all know King George would never let you own land or firearms. George (43) may have encouraged us to be home owners, but never said homedebtors. As you can see they are two different things entirely. From now on when when you blame President George W. Bush for anything I will know that you have run out of fresh ideas. Someone please tell me how he single handedly is responsible for everything bad in this country(and this world). Just maybe some fools that eat everything that you secrete will think twice. I wonder how many times you are actually correct on the decisions you make. I wonder who you blamed before (43)2000 (sorry teacher that Bush guy ate my homework). I especialy wonder if you take responsibility for anything. I guess if Bush only let his friends at KBR own property then there would be no bubble( you would have to work, I mean real work like sweating and getting dirty,EWWWWW). Rents would be too high. Then you would blame him for that. When I was a kid, anybody who blamed or whined as much as you, would have been labled as a crybaby. Crybaby, crybaby, Kieth is a crybaby. Waa,waa, waaaaaa. Did George make you a crybaby? I look around and I see he made alot of crybabys. Well at least you have company. Now before I post, King Kieth must approve, well lets see if that jackass will do so. P.S. Happy European should refer to themselves as Future Muslim

- Where International Banks own your ass

"and helping more Americans realize the great promise of our country. Today, nearly 70 percent of Americans own their homes, and the rate of minority homeownership has climbed to above 50 percent since I took office in 2001."

- 70% of American's own a mortgage, not "A Home".

Bush is a dysfunctional retard from a party of dysfunctional retards, dysfunctional troglodytes and effective, dangerous fascists.

Ownership Society = Ownership Secret Society = Bankers cuff an iron ball on sheeple's ankle to drag forever.

American dream = 40% of the American population can't afford/don't have health insurance = 1 million Americans (or illegals) living below the poverty line every year, since Bush took office.

Nothing to see here...keep on spinning that wheel while watching Faux News, hamsters.

Un-freaking-believable how still there are people in this country drinking the Bush Kool-Aid. Man, this country is going down fast...and these morons will probably elect the other failure, Giuliana, to bring the entire planet down with them.

I am a social and fiscal conservative and was a registered Republican up until El Presedente' Bush. The fact is that Bush has been the worst thing to happen to the Republican party. What good has he done? He spends like a liberal while cutting taxes and driving the country further into massive debt; He has increased the size of the government and, hence, its cost to the taxpayer; He fought tooth and nail to get us into this disaster in Iraq; He is now fighting tooth and nail to have his immigration reform scam bumrushed through the Senate; and the only reason his approval rating isn't in the single digits is because of the remaining Kool-Aid drinkers in the Republican party. On this last trip to Europe it appears the only people that liked him are the Albanians. Too bad he didn't stay there.

LOL, I thought this was a joke, until I clicked the link. Maybe this is a sign that the government is REALLY scared about the future.

That says something about how deluded you liberal soicalist scum are in the US. Albanians know what it's like to live under communism. They appreciate Bush's efforts to turn back the tide in the US away from socialism and communism.

Oh no but you liberal swine in the US want free health care and welfare and free education and free housing and free everything from the government. In other words you want communism. But oh no, big bad old Bush won't give it to you so he must be the worst president ever.

You are like little children.

Bush the worst pres in history? No. I'd say he is definitely not the smartest. He is in over his head on most complex issues like Iraq, foreign policy, etc.

Anonymous said...

Bush was responible for the housing bubble the way Clinton was responsible for the Nasadq bubble.

SOMEONE has to be responsible, right? Bubbles can't be the result of Mass Psychology. Nah, that can't be it.

Seems I struck a nerve Ha,ha,ha.3 anons(what courage)think that I have subscribed to everything The Great GWB stands for. I did not say that nor imply. I just believe that alot of problems can not be attributed to him. I would have voted for Pat B. had I thought he could win, blame me for that if you must, but I sure as Hell would not give Gore the vote by not voting for George. As far as the kool-aid(ouch)I will take that over whatever you are drinking(it causes delusions). I know this country is going down fast. It seems that when polled most people think this country is headed(better than beheaded, surrender monkeys)in the wrong direction. It is moving to the left. Has been for some time, and liberals don't like it.Most animals don't crap in their bed but libs do.Why? I don't know or care, just stop doing it. HEY KOOL-AID!!! All right!! I gotta go. P.S. buy a berka you nuetered freaks.

So anyone who doesn't agree with Bush is a commmunist? I'm a conservative! Bush has done nothing to stave off anything but a good future for this country by behaving like the liberal, socialist scum you hate so much.
Bigger government, more debt, more entitlements. It's humorous to read the rants of the Kool-Aid drinkers. No facts, no logic, not even a hint of commonsense. Just the refrain,"You're liberal, socialist scum! You're liberal, socialist scum!" It's obvious too much Faux News kills brain cells.

What was that? Some kind of a put-on? Bait away:

What we have is a plutocracy, a junta, a monarchy, a theocracy, a system that takes away health care, education, housing, and above all, the means to earn a living wage from everyday people.
The current administration has eaten away at the Constitution, our privacy, our cherished rights and liberties as American citizens. And you have the nerve to suggest that because we are not happy with the above that makes us all "communists". How dare you?

Or should I just say, you mother is a swine, you swine?
