Oh, man, I love this guy. Stay tuned to the end to see Paul and Hannity go at it. Someone's not happy with RP diverging from the GOP talking points!
I wish they would have gotten to Fed policy and the housing bubble!
Fair and Balanced!
A time capsule of the greatest financial mania in the history of mankind, told in real-time by regular folks and patriots. May future generations better understand the madness of crowds, and how power and money corrupt.

good clip... ron paul with the help of the other commentator tore up that reporter... who was clearly in the pockets of giuliani....
We did give Saddam the gas in the first place - true!
During Vietnam - Agent Orange - Herbicide or Chemical weapon - you make the call.
I said it before, and I will say (type) it again. Ron Paul does not have the media resources, according to MSM, so he can not win. I guess the media picks out our Government for us, because we are to stoopid to choose for our selves.
Well it is fair and balanced...Ron Paul was on Fox. Can you say the same about MNSBC? How about ABC? CBS? NBC? PBS? ABC won't even mention him in their online poll results.
Anyone other than Fox giving this guy a voice?
Yikes. If I were to read a transcript of this exchange I'd swear it was Michael Moore talking. Yeah let's close up the borders, get rid of the military and live like it's 1776. Great ideas Ronnie.
And you idiots wonder why his poll numbers are in the .0001% range....
Giuliani looked like an ape attacking Ron Paul and putting words in his mouth during the debate. Rudy will use any chance he gets to pimp 9/11, huh? No wonder New Yorkers loathe him.
I wonder how the MSM will get Ron Paul off future debates when he's polling so well? I'm sure they will try. The don't know how to handle an honest man who understands the constitution and history. The MSM doens't want to listen to anyone who knows and states what the Founding Fathers believed with regard to government powers, minding our own business on this earth, and honest money.
God I hate Hannidy! The way he bullies guests who disagree with him and won't let them answer questions is nauseating.
I suppose that Hanniday would have gone to Russia, China, and half of Africa because he's such a morally upstanding citizen. I wonder if he ever served in the military.
The debate is "Can America afford $500BN a year military (excluding the war) to be the world's policeman? Can we do that, pay for healthcare and social security, AND be competitive in a global economy for the next 50 years?" THAT'S the question, and any educated person/Republican knows it.
What an A-Hole!
RP has admirable clarity, but to be a winner he ought to slam dunk a blowhard like Hannity. He didn't, so I'm afraid he's a loser.
Ouch. Hannity really got schooled there. Hey Hannity.. maybe it's immoral to put Hussein in there in the first place. Or give him weapons. We'll wait and see what kind of bump he gets from the Guliani exchange. (You should probably watch that Keith - it will get spun a lot of ways I'm sure). I thought Ron did excellently in the debate.
Hannity is a pompous ass. What is up with him putting words in Paul's mouth? Fox news needs an overhaul starting with Hannity and Oreilly. I don't even turn the channel on any longer.
UNBELIEVABLY POOR treatment of Ron Paul. The MSM is more corrupt than I thought. We're doomed.
COLUMBIA, South Carolina (Reuters) - It was showtime at the Republican presidential debate on Tuesday, and the big surprise was the man in the spotlight -- Ron Paul, the longest of longshots.
Paul, a nine-term congressman from Texas and the Libertarian Party candidate for the White House in 1988, stood out in a field of 10 Republican presidential candidates by standing up to front-runner Rudolph Giuliani in a spat over the September 11 attacks.
Paul initiated the exchange with Giuliani, the mayor of New York on September 11, by implying U.S. policies in the Middle East had contributed to the attacks in New York and Washington.

"Have you ever read about the reasons they attacked us? They attack us because we've been over there. We've been bombing Iraq for 10 years," he said.
Asked by a moderator if he was suggesting the United States invited the attacks, Paul said: "I'm suggesting we listen to the people who attacked us and the reason they did it. And they are delighted that we're over there because Osama bin Laden has said: I am glad you're over on our sand because we can target you so much easier."
An irate Giuliani interrupted and asked for a chance to respond.
"That's an extraordinary statement, as someone who lived through the attack of September 11, that we invited the attack because we were attacking Iraq," said Giuliani, who leads national polls in the Republican race.
"I don't think I've ever heard that before, and I've heard some pretty absurd explanations for September 11th," Giuliani said to wild applause, asking Paul to withdraw the comment.
American Idol Bug Bites GOP Debate: Ron Paul Proves Sanjaya Theory
By Jim Brogan
May 16, 2007
American Idol or US President? Republican 2008 presidential contenders defended their conservative credentials on abortion, gun control and tax cuts in a FOX debate Tuesday night, each getting a little time in their own spotlight to sing their songs and find their audience.
The entire event had had an "American Idol" feel to it.
Plastered across the bottom of the screen were numbers to text your votes for your "favorite" candidate. And just like American Idol, you had your frontrunners and your longshots - not too mention ones that make you scatch your head and wonder how they got this far.
There was some genuinely funny moments, such as when Mike Huckabee quipped about Democratic hopeful John Edwards, "We've had a Congress that's spent money like John Edwards at a beauty shop!" The obvious jab at the Democratic presidential hopeful's penchant for $400 haircuts drew laughs from the crowd and stage.
And there was drama when Rudy Giuliani, on defense for much of the evening, switched gears nearly an hour into the debate and challenged Rep. Ron Paul's suggestion that the U.S. bombing of Iraq had contributed to the terrorist attacks of 2001.
As mayor of New York at the time of the attacks, Giuliani sternly chastised Paul, "I don't think I've ever heard that before, and I have heard some pretty absurd explanations."
Giuliani's Paul rebuke drew some of the loudest applause of the night from the partisan audience.
Who's more of a lying panderer? Giuliani, Romney, or McCain. It's a tough call. God help us if our election ends up being one of those a-holes against Hillary Clinton.
Just donated $25 to his campaign.
Unfortunately, Ron Paul thinks American voters respond to intellect, awareness of facts, and the truth, etc. How naive!
The sad truth is the average American voter is an abject idiot, a slob who couldn't tell you the difference between the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence if his life depended on it.
So the election will all come down to who has the most presidental look and best hair: Mitt Romney or John Edwards. Good thing someone didn't tell Sanjaya to run, or he'd be a clear front-runner, with that winning smile and nice hair! Hmmm, even though he can't sing, who doesn't like Sanjaya's sunny disposition?
People, rent "Idiocracy" sometime, a Mike Judge movie: he was always correct that our democracy is controlled by morons.
Paul did NOT say that we the US caused 911. he said that the US Policy of squatting in and bullying countries has spawned a hatred for the US. That hatred is the cause of 911 and other violence.
Hannity is a POS bushbot. he is owned by Guido-ani
Guido-ani sounded like a squeeling PIG.
Guiliani's law firm is working against OUR COUTNRY... they are working on the NAFTA superhway of the NAU which is to make I35 a 16-laner to from mex to can.
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55695
Bush's brother was a the key executive at the company that handeled security at the world trade center towers. hmmmm
look it up.
Paul is the only choice.
The debate was like a firing squad with all aiming on Paul.
It was not fair, yet he clobbered them.
Look at the Youtube again, Paul won the debate AGAIN.... goes to show that the American people want a man like Paul and only Guidoani was himself and the fat bloated pig audience.
Are think you have lost it. The talking points party are the Democrats. Step out of line and you're banished from the party (see Lieberman, et al.). The Republicans, at least in this field, have some issue diversity. As for Ron Paul, this guy is your hero, he's a nut, akin to Rosie O'Donnell. You're beginning to lose you credibility by supporting a flake like this!
>> I don't even turn the channel on any longer.
Not even for the hotties?
Why is it against the sacrosanct laws of media to say US policy caused 9/11?
When the most obvious facts are shouted down like heresy, good luck getting truth in media.
I suppose that Hanniday would have gone to Russia, China, and half of Africa because he's such a morally upstanding citizen. I wonder if he ever served in the military.
======
Nope. He's a classic instance of a chickenhawk -- too chicken to actually serve, and as far as I know he could have...but he loves to talk about war and loves to try to appear tough in general.
What an @$$wipe.
Stop saying Ron Paul is polling well. He polls where on online polls. Those polls are no different than American Idol voting.
In real, scientific, polls like Gallup he is less than 1%.
What's wrong with making I-35 a 16 laner? I wish I-20, I-75 and I-85 were 16 laners too.
The right wingnut blogosphere is blathering in hate-fest over Ron Paul.
They sense their illogic-circuits are being dismantled. They respond as usual: fear and attack.
He must be doing something right. He's not my candidate, but he's an honest alternative.
As I predict, there's no way the GOP is going to nominate him---the choice is going to be some slick huckster or a retrograde mouthbreather.
I saw this on CNBC:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16711064/
"9. Ron Paul
Texas congressman Last Ranking: --
The anti-war Republican stood out, and his answers were the talk of the spin room -- well, parts of it, anyway. Our problem: until he starts to take votes from someone else, we don't know where to place him."
Since when did the media become unable to rank someone in a poll? Are they hiding his first place status?
"RP has admirable clarity, but to be a winner he ought to slam dunk a blowhard like Hannity. He didn't, so I'm afraid he's a loser."
no, the attack against RP was staged... they made a charge and gave hime no time for rebuttle-- a classic smear.
This clip angered me so much I emialed Fox news about what a pompos a-hole Hannity is. I think I might contribute another $50 to Paul.
Imagine all the people who work at the IRS when Ron Paul fires them and disbands that dept!!!!!
WOW!!!!!
Lets make it happen!
just donated another $125.00 to Ron Paul and told him that I recently paid $100 for a crappy Broadway play and he was so much better!
The future president I look forward to is an anonymous soldier. He is now pulling his third tour in Iraq not because he believes in the war but because he was raised to loyally serve his people regardless of his own opinions. After he and his comrades return to find their jobs gone and families out on the street they will band together and seize the leadership of this country by whatever means necessary. Their experience will make that possible. The established wealthy families will be given a tacit choice, help and enjoy your comforts or die and be replaced. Unproductive and predatory elements of all sorts will be eliminated. No more legal games and public relations spin, just direct military thinking from a bunch of combat survivors.
AL-QWEEFIE,
So you instruct your minions to go vote for Ron Paul then are surprised when the poll results are dismissed. You are seriously getting loonier and loonier by the day.
People are retarded to think 911 came 'outta nowhere' as if america is an innocent child in the park who got molested by a bad man.
wake up!
Unfortunately the median does pick out presidents and they dont like ron paul.
Imagine him being president and disbanding the IRS and bringing the army home!! no more income tax!! fuck u accountant overclass!
lets get him in there!
"The sad truth is the average American voter is an abject idiot, a slob who couldn't tell you the difference between the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence if his life depended on it."
Classic and SO TRUE!!!!
this guy is an embarassment

Yeah, because all 30k of us went over there and voted to skew the results.... Anon is a numb-nut, fo' sho'.
Wow, surprised by RP's standing in the poll. I still think he's a longshot, as who ever heard of such a non-mainstream character being the Republican candidate?
I dare say if the party actually took RP underwing, they might be able to win! As it stands, Americans have had enough of the tough-talking, six-shooter slingin', "shoot first and ask questions later" kind of clown who's currently occupying the White House.
>>>Paul did NOT say that we the US caused 911. he said that the US Policy of squatting in and bullying countries has spawned a hatred for the US. That hatred is the cause of 911 and other violence.<<<
What RP didn't explain is why are we the only ones the Radical Muslims are angry with? There were many nations who participated in driving Saddam out of Iraq and there were many nations in the UN that supported our enforcing the No-Fly Zone in Iraq. So why do they hate America so much? It's simple: they dislike our Western lifestyle, and we are viewed as the leader of that Western way of life. To be fair, the radical Muslims have also attacked other Western nations like Spain, Italy, France, Germany and have done so fo the last 4 decades. This is a conflict of Civilizations. There is no appeasing them, they think Allah wants them to kill us b/c we are Infidels. They don't think along the lines of you staying on your side of the border, we'll stay on our side. They are fanatics who are incacpable of compromise and co-existence. Ron Paul disappointed me by not realizing this.
Ron Paul disappointed me by not realizing this.
He impressed me by not repeating those soundbites!
We all know that most of congress claimed to be fooled by bush but ron paul, on the other hand, was nobody's fool!
Pete, do the terrorists also hate the Pakistan and Saudi Arabia governments and societies because of their freedom? Because they sure seem to attack them alot, too, you dolt. Learn how to breathe out of your nose.

Where is the real, scientific backing for your statement?

====
Have Americans turned into wimps? Why give up and cave in to the MSM? They NEED US and we DO have the power to force them to present us with better material!
If Americans would wake up and understand how much power we can have, we could kick out corrupt clowns left and right.
But nooooooo...it's much easier to sit there and say we are victims of the MSM. How pathetically helpless and un-American!
pete,
what Ron Paul also didn't explain is why muslims are killing non-muslim Indians, or why Muslims are killing non-Muslim Indonesians, or why muslims are killing non-Muslisms in Sudan. You see a pattern here?
benjamin franklin,
Ever heard of a bot that can automate the 30,000 votes? Fo sho you are a dumbfuck if you really think 40% of people think Ron Paul is their choice for Prez. Keep sending him your money though, god knows it's better than sending it to Billary.
I want to make sure I get this right. In the crackpot lexicon "Faux News" goes right after "fiat currency" and before "peak oil", right?
fiat currency? Is that the money I use to buy a cheap-ass Eye-talian car?
>>>Pete, do the terrorists also hate the Pakistan and Saudi Arabia governments and societies because of their freedom? Because they sure seem to attack them alot, too, you dolt. Learn how to breathe out of your nose. <<<
No child, they hate those gov'ts b/c they have allied themselves with the USA. Pakistan is run by a former General who doesn't run things according to strict Islamic Law and who has cooperated, to some extent, with the USA in counterterrorism efforts. Ditto for the Saudi's. These terrorists want power in THEIR lands as well. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are NOT the Taliban, hence the hostilities, Capice?
Pete,
So the terrorsits hate that Saudi Arabia & Pakistan governments because they have allied with freedom lovers?
Or do they hate the freedom lovers because they have allied with Saudi Arabia & Pakistan governments?
How do you know? Are you one of them?
In either case, you must be able to admit that they hate us for a little more than just our freedom. Or you are just patently dishonest and stupid.
>>>In either case, you must be able to admit that they hate us for a little more than just our freedom. Or you are just patently dishonest and stupid. <<<
So why don't you tell us why they hate us? Then tell us why they hate France, Germany, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, etc, etc, etc. If you asked Osama why he hates America he will probably give you one answer, and if you ask him why he hates the Saudi gov't he'll give you another. There is no one size fits all reasoning, I'm sure. The idea that we brought this on ourselves is ridiculous. They follow a strict, violent, religious ideology and they are unable to co-exist w/ the rest of the kids on the Global Playground. The only way to have peace w/ them is to convert, and if you asked them, that is what they would tell you.
This topics reminds me of the fact that atheists are always touting the role of God in so much of the world's violence.
OK, ***poof***, God is gone from the human consciousness, you're telling me people wouldn't find some other way to hate, demean and slaughter one another?
>>>OK, ***poof***, God is gone from the human consciousness, you're telling me people wouldn't find some other way to hate, demean and slaughter one another?<<<
That's a good point, Hayley. BUt I think the nature of this debate is "
OK, ***poof***, the United States is gone from the human race, you're telling me people wouldn't find some other way to hate, demean and slaughter one another?<<<
Islam has been fighting with the West since the 7th Century. LOOONNGGG before the USA was even settled. Many of today's Radical Muslims are still fighting those campaigns.
Pete,
Why would a disaffected, poor, unemployed Saudi Arabian citizen (translation: Al Qaeda follower, most of the 9/11 hijackers) hate the Saudi Royal family? Hmmmm. Could it be that they blame the Saudi Royal family for what caused them to be disaffected, poor, and unemployed? If so, why would they hate a country that allies itself with the Saudi Royal family, funds the Saudi Royal family, and covers up for the Saudi Royal family so that it can continue to extract natural resources from the disaffected citizen's country? Oh, I know the answer to that one....because of that country's freedom.
Their religion is an excuse, not a cause. Our freedom is a rationalization, also not a cause.
This guy is someone I would vote for but he will NEVER EVER win in America he is too real for America. It is so depressing because he would be great for us.
"In real, scientific, polls like Gallup he is less than 1%."
as you know, the Gallop poll measures both people who watched the debate and people who hadn't and is biased towards people who hadn't since only 1.76M viewers, I read, watched the first.
so the debate poll, if accurate, it suggests that once people her Ron Paul, they want to vote for him.
the Gallop poll simply asks which one of these men would you vote for but doesn't ask them to watch the debate first.
saw a picture of hillary that made her look like a hot sexy fashion model and pleasant also, i wonder tho, if her media supporters are not doing her a disservice?????///
>>>Why would a disaffected, poor, unemployed Saudi Arabian citizen (translation: Al Qaeda follower, most of the 9/11 hijackers) hate the Saudi Royal family? Hmmmm. Could it be that they blame the Saudi Royal family for what caused them to be disaffected, poor, and unemployed?<<<
Well, then where are the terrorists from the slums of our other allies? Canada has its disaffected poor, why aren't they bombing us? Ditto the UK, Germany, Spain, heck, Ethiopia is an ally, and there are plenty of impoverished people there. Why no Ethiopian terrorists?
The 9/11 hijackers came from middle and upper class families. THEY WERE NOT POOR!!! I don't know where you got that from, but if they were angry at the Saudi gov't it makes sense that they would attack THERE, not HERE.
Pete,
They have attacked there, you fcking moron. Good god, man, are you stupid.
As for the disaffected poor in other countries not becoming anti-US terrorists, well, it's probably because they don't live in countries ruled by exploitative monarchies that are actively propped up by the US. Are the Canadian people going to be angry at the US because their democratically elected government is failing them? Of course not, you idiot.
