A time capsule of the greatest financial mania in the history of mankind, told in real-time by regular folks and patriots. May future generations better understand the madness of crowds, and how power and money corrupt.

my kids wanted to know:
if the houses are floating, why arent the people?
from the mouth of babes
Well, I dont have a suitable caption, but I found this (I guess; housedebt-related) question in another forum:
"Do you feel that because your parents may have supported you when you were younger, that you "owe" it to them to support them now? (Pay the bills they run up etc, just because they did it for you when you were younger and unable to work)"
Comment: One could assume that above types of demands/generational conficts is on the rise, in lockstep with an evermore desperate house-bubble bust catastrophe. Sad. :-/
You're either with us, or you're with the houses.
Quick Honey, grab one before everyone else does!
gravity will return in 3... 2... 1...
Was that a flying cow? No wait its Toto. No, No I was mistaken its David Leiher and he's shouting "It's OK. It's OK. This correction is going to be a good thing. Be sure to get under a house right away while you still have a chance."
Hurry, desperately grab on before the house [price] rises forever...
That's David Lereah, I beleive, a major shill for NAR and a disgrace to the economics profession (if that's possible).
Remember the Fifth Dimensions hit;
"Up, Up and away in my beautiful, my beautiful......balloon payment!"
Honey, We forgot to lash the house down again! Get the ladder!
Houses being Raptured, people left behind!
Filled with the same air as the DOW.
Filled with all of Lereah's HoT AiR!
Talking UP the housing bubble!
Quick, everybody!
Grab a string!
Suzanne said so!
"Pop!"
"Splat!"
Duck and cover.
Husband, "Hurry Honey, let's get ours."
WIfe, "Not without an exit clause, dear."
Husband, "I have a parachute, don't worry about it."
The housing gods are angry!
1. Real Estate prices always go up. (fallacy, like a baloon, thay can also deflate).
2. Get in before you are priced out forever. (fallacy, get out before you are underwater forever as the comps fall).
"Don't panic, this is normal ... David Lehreah said he was predicting this."
"The caption should be "Spring 2005". Then you need a second picture with the houses back on the ground with all the people crushed beneath them. Caption for second picture "Spring 2007"."
Good one!
Oy vey! It's a housing holocaust! Oy vey!
no caption, but this cartoon begs for a follow-up pane of mortgage-anvils squashing the people, so only their lifeless legs and arms stick out.

infidelsix,
Well, you're comment was the 4th one referencing David Lereah.
A-plus for originality, once again!
