Depends on the alternative. I'm open to candidates from any party. Straight ticket voting is the opposite of democracy.
Al Gore- Mr. Man on a Mission to save the planet from itself.
His mission is much more noble and will help America to become independent from the Middle East.
He's much more humanity focused than anyone right now. He's exactly what we need. Although he will be very different than the guy in office now who doesn't give a shit about humanity. Just his white Texas friends.

I saw Obama campaign in Chicago (lived in Little Italy) before I moved to Honolulu. Another liar towing the party line. Oh yeah, he's black and articulate. I'm totally sure he's gonna fight for the little guy (fools).

He may just be a party hack but I can't see him aggressively rolling back Constitutional rights like the GOP is now doing.
Once those rights are gone, it's tough or impossible to get them back.
Two strikes against him:
1) He's for getting confrontational with Iran (i.e., getting us stuck in the Mideast quagmire more deeply)
2) He voted for the illegal alien amnesty.

I am completely disillusioned by the prospect of any politician correcting the current system. I don't vote period.
I believe the majority of recent "3rd party self-proclaimed" are actually the republicans who voted for bush twice and too ashamed to be identified w/ that bucket of failure and shame.
I would vote for an amendement to the U.S. constitution that would:
#1) Abolish the Federal Reserve
#2) Create a New U.S. Gov't Fiat currency that was owned by the U.S. Gov't (not private bankers and foreign powers)
#3) Forever prohibit private FIAT money creation.
Of course, President Kennedy tried to do this for us and they (the private bankers and foreign powers had him killed).
