Here's Mish's guess - just a smidge past post-peak
Boy, it's a long, long, long, long way down

Great picture!!
I have been dealing with Japan for the past 15 years. I have lived there for extended periods in those years. IT IS A LONG WAY DOWN. This time it will be different. The difference, is the fact that the Japanese have one of the highest rates of saving money in the world. Here in the good old "nothing can go wrong for us" USA, we are one of the worst at saving money. The majority of us live paycheck to paycheck. In other words, we are in for a very long and brutal slide. This will be a financial crisis like we have never known. My biggest hope is that those of us that have been wise in our investments dont end up having to "contribute" to a gov bailout for all of the idiots.
