I love quotes like this one:
Maryam Safai's 5,000-square-foot, five-bedroom colonial in Mahwah, New Jersey, has been on the market for a year, even after three reductions in asking price.
``I'm not going to give in to the market,'' says Safai, 44, a dentist. ``I'm not selling below our current asking price'' of $1.69 million.
Funny thing about housing prices, and the people who sell houses. They're generally not business people, generally not educated in supply, demand, pricing.
But everyone's an expert when it comes to pricing their home. They "deserve" their price. Regardless of the market conditions, regardless of what price the market will bear.
Mr. Safai will be very unpleasantly surprised, if he doesn't pull his house off the market, to only get $800,000 or so, eh?

After a while I noticed that the temperaature was about 62 degrees in there. Perhaps they were squezed for money and keeping the place colder..
Hello everyone,
I've been reading this blog for sometime now and find it very informative. This blog, and others like it have provided important information that is not available in the main stream media. Keep up the excellent work. I thought I'd supply a story from my neighborhood in Brooklyn NY.

Mr Safai will show the market who's boss
re "the price I deserve for my house" sort of mentality. These people just end up being bigger losers than they otherwise would be. What will be will be.
The arrow on the shirt should be pointing up!
I set my temperature to 62-65 degrees most of the time. I have 3x of my gross annual salary in the bank. Living frugal can help pay out. My friends complain about my penny pinching.
Others will argue that frugal living "aint" living. To each, their own.
Hello Elisabeth,
Be aware you've found your way to the lunatic fringe of the bubble blogs. I would be wary of reading this blog at work given the extreme racist views of the Author. There at least six other very good sites covering the same topic, none of them posting the same sicko racist shit as this one does.
Thanks mmm,
I have read some of the comments here and I have found some rather offensive. The author of these comments of course, will disagree and say that he is only stating the facts and he may say that he is not a racist. I sincerely believe that he does not see himself as a racist and is blind about his racist views. On the other hand he is extremely well versed realtive to the real estate market and is spot on with his forcast.

In my view the author is not racist. Not anymore so than people on the other end of this spectrum.
I am watching 60 minutes over the weekend and I am told by the man interviewed that I must die. I am a christian and worthless . I was pretty mad to hear that. That another mass attack is coming from Bin Laden. Sure it is disturbing.
Then my local news are on in Phoenix and High School kids are the top story.Took old glory right off the flag pole in the school yard. Threw her on the ground.Holering Viva Mexico.
Some white kids got very upset and took the Mexican flag down and burned it. Now the principal has no flag flying at all! Times are tense and ones views and opinions are easily placed on the racist roster. I think it is just where we draw the line on our own personal level.
Am I a racist for cheering the kids for sticking up for their country? Graveyards and ocean bottoms are full of people that doubted that flag. This is not Mexico.
Is the author a racist for making a statement that simply goes right back down the throat of the individuals that call for the death of all Christians?
This blog struck a nerve center recently and people vented. I thank you Keith for bringing the issue up. It certainly brought to the surface some thoughts that spawned very emotional discusssions and brought to the surface the issues that confront us everyday .
MMM , Elizabeth , why don't you open your minds and start seeing this world for what it is.
Get real

It is amazing what you find on Blogger when you search for information about patriotisism and flags. This is definitely an area where people have strong opinions. There should be a picture of the Blogger icon in the dictionary next to "free speach".
