Had to post it - Walocaust

Nobody would've seen this if Wal-Mart hadn't sued the little guy. So more power to him - here's a little more unwanted publicity for the idiots at Wal-Mart. They may be our biggest company, but they're our stupidist too. Go ahead, sue HP you dolts. If I said "Wal-Mart donates their profits to satan" that's one thing. Oh, wait, I just said that. Oops.

It all ties together though folks. Wal-Mart. China. Trade imbalance. Bonds. Dollar. Low interest rates. Housing Bubble. Economic collapse.

Wal-Mart Parodist Sues to Sell Products

Computer store owner Charles Smith is the first to admit the T-shirts and mugs he designed to lampoon Wal-Mart Stores Inc. are in bad taste. But Smith had wanted to make a point by comparing the giant retail company to the Nazis.

So he created slogans playing off the Bentonville, Ark., firm's familiar logo, including "I {heart} WAL*OCAUST.

They have family values and their alcohol, tobacco and firearms are 20% off." Wal-Mart wasn't amused. The company launched a legal battle by writing a cease-and-desist demand that led Smith to file suit Monday in federal court in Atlanta

Wal-Mart is merely responding to consumer desires to buy cheap goods. If customers didn't want to shop at WalMart they wouldn't be the biggest corporation in the world.

If you don't like WalMart don't shop there. For me, I find it's more cost effective to go to the local supermarket even if I pay a little more because it takes a lot less time.

In essence, don't shoot the middleman. I put the blame on marketers that have convinced people they need new stuff and anything used is worthless.

Moman...
I agree with you...I find nothing wrong with Wal-Mart. If people don't like them, don't shop there...it they don't pay high enough wages, then don't work there.

2 million WalMart employees with no health care. Who pays their hospital bills when they become sick? Think about it. Chinese laborers at 50cents an hour, How can we compete against that? No labor laws in China either.

Who cares right?

The real problem with Wal-Mart is really the same problem that Free Trade has: The disadvantages are specific, and easy to see, while the advantages are diffused, and less obvious. It's easy to see the 5% of Wal-Mart workers who are using Medicaid benefits, or the number that don't have regular benefits at all because they aren't full-time workers. What isn't as easy to see are the millions of poor Americans whose budgets can be stretched further, and who can afford more food or clothing, because of Wal-Mart's price structure.

Many still want to paint Wal-Mart as a parasite on taxpayers, because 5 percent of its workers are on Medicaid. Actually that's a typical level for large retail firms, and the national average for all firms is 4 percent. Most of Wal-Mart's enemies that raise this issue were the poeple in the 1990s who argued loudly for the reform that allowed poor Americans to keep Medicaid benefits even if they had a job. Now that this policy is helping workers at Wal-Mart these people shouldn't blame the company.....They are the same people that want a National health care system. In other words, they attack Wal-Mart for having 5 percent of its workers receive health care courtesy of taxpayers when the policy that they support would increase that share to 100 percent.

I work @ Walmart for the momemt and I can tell any and all bad about Walmart would be the truth, about the insurance there are only 1/3 of all full time and part time associates that have health insurance because the rest can not afford it. As to a person who would want to be in management at Walmart has to be into S&M.
