In light of recent events, I felt it was important that all of you watch these very important vidoes again, to remind you how we got in this mess

Is Ludacris' house a KHov? Kinda looks like one. Fairly modest, all things considered.

He has named himself appropriately.

"I love that house...Plus the schools"

"Ok honey, we'll risk our financial future so you can be in a house that you'll get sick of in a few years and bitch everyday about it. We can send our children to the same worthless public brainwashing schools that are everywhere regardless of where we go. As long as you're happy, honey."

That's what I think of that guy. He's a fat castrated bitch!

And as for Ludacris...Pfft, if it weren't for all the angry teenage "gangstas" out there who buy his shitty music, he'd be on the street selling crack.

Suzanne researched this, We can do this! It's ONLY $700,000,000,000+!!

Hey, if Ludacris can afford it (although maybe he's smart enough to just be leasing it) then why can't I afford it?? Just because he's selling gazillions of dvd's to wiggers, and I'm a manager at McDonalds???
I love that house!
We can do this!!!

That Ludacris video is Keith's way of behaving like Casey Serin. Well done.

Hard to tell which video is more ludicrous video 1 or video 2.

Keith,

Get the word out this is not, I repeat not a $700 Billion bailout. It is infinite. Here is Section 6 from the proposed legislation.

"The Secretarys authority to purchase mortgage-related assets under this Act shall be limited to $700,000,000,000 outstanding at any one time"

Here's what's being said about that little line:
This is clever and nobody in the mainstream media has figured it out.

If you think the cost of this bill is $700 billion, you're wrong. The cost is actually infinite and the entire bill constitutes a giant money-laundering scheme.

Paulson can (and presumably will) buy up to $700 billion of these "assets", then sell them. Let's say he decides to buy them at 60 cents on the dollar and sell them for 10. You, the taxpayer, will eat the fifty cents, for an immediate cost of $350 billion dollars.

Having done so, he is then authorized to do so again, since the $700 billion is no longer on the government's balance sheet.

Oh yes ,I remember the days when every ad on the TV was to brainwash
the sheep to buy a house .

If the people of this Country are this easy to brainwash ,that is scary . I guess the politicians think that they can just throw out a bunch of lies and the sheep will accept it ,much like the advertisers though people would buy into house worship .

The new spin from the media is that
there was no choice but to do this bail-out . I contend that there was many choices .

Hasn't someone questioned the fact that Paulson might be doing to many deals in one week ?

Heck, even I can buy that house. A lot of the stuff is pretty standard and that kitchen is boilerplate lame.

I took a look at the video for Usher's house. I'm pretty sure I can't afford that one.

Coming from a WASP perspective, is this the black equivalent of a Velvet Elvis painting?? Or maybe a tribute to Dale Earnhardt??

Ludacris was a ver famous radio personality in Atlanta years before he became a rapper. He also stared in the Oscsar award winning movie CRASH. A movie you racist bastards need to watch along with your kids.

Ray - the point is glorification of the wealth on MTV, which led people with no money to buy homes they couldn't afford

The subject could have been Pauly Shore or Carrot Top as easily as it could have been 50 cent.

Lighten up.

Oh, Ludacris has horrific taste. I think we all could agree on that. I wouldn't pay $100,000 to live in that hellhole. And before he tried to sell that place, they'd have to paint the walls.

Money does not buy taste.

Ludacris is not a gangster nor a gangster wannabe. His music is party music aimed at girls, and night clubs. He would not be selling crack neither the guy has a degree and was a big time radio DJ before he became a rapper. He saw what the rappers he was interviewing on his show making and decided to get in on the game. Now that being said, I believe we should be out protesting in front of the White House, Fed Building in D.C. etc. I have been reading Ben Jones housing bubble blog for 3.5 years now, and have avoided the dire consequences of buying a home unlike many in my college class of 2000.

Hey HP'ers I don't live the exact lifestyle like Ludacris, but I lived beyond my means. My wife and I were deep in debt but bought a house I could not afford based on "creative financing".

Now we are behind on our bills and haven't paid our mortgage in eleven months. The bank already owns several townhouses in our development and several single family houses thus I don't think they want more inventory.

I just want to thank the HP'ers of America for living below their means, being honest and hard working. Because of you, I don't have to do all of the above! Great going HP'ers and keep up the good job! LOL, LOL, LOL.

Nice editing on that Ludacris vid...

Fucking idiot averaged about .2 seconds per cut.

Couldn't take it halfway through.

keith, just sending this URL to you on how Clinton built on more regulations to the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 which set the stage for where we are today. This article was written in 2000 and is quite prescient. This is where it all started. It is time to lay a lot of blame with the Leftists who pushed CRA under Clinton and shamed/badgered/harrassed banks into loaning money to highly risky people. The banks went along with it because they needed to get a good CRA rating from the new rules imposed by Clinton. You will puke when you finish reading this.

"Blaming the Community Reinvestment Act for the housing mess is a leap. Banks making loans to poor, redlined minorities are not the cause of the housing debacle. The cause is simple: Greed.

According to a study related in the Phoenix Business Journal by ComplianceTech, an Arlington, Va.-based consulting firm, middle- and upper-income folks received more high rate mortgages than any other group in 2006.

According to the study, whites had more sub-prime mortgages between 2004 and 2006 than all other minorities combined. "Of the 1.9 million sub-prime rate loans in 2006, upper-income borrowers had the highest share at 39.37 percent, followed by 27.55 percent for middle-income borrowers and 20.99 percent for moderate-income borrowers. Low-income borrowers had only 149,173, or 7.57 percent, of 2006 sub-prime rate loans," the study reported."
