George Bush wrecked America

Twelve months ago I innocently accepted the rhetoric that our economy is a free one. Now I know that is true for maybe half the economy. The free half supports, subsidizes, and bails out the other. How absolutely discouraging.

Absolutely not..... I've been saying the same things on this blog, along with many other places for over four years now.

My posts should reflect events that have past, and will reflect events that have yet to pass. Not that I'm clairvoyant or anything. I'm just not niave enough to believe the bullshit our jewish masters have been feeding us. It's readily apparent to anyone that will open their eyes and keep an open mind that they are draining this country of its wealth. Something they've done to countless other nations, countless other times throughout history.

I agree, that idiot wrecked America by allowing Ben Bernake to throw money at every potential loss.
Wall Street crybabies went to the window and EXPECT bail outs when they are bad.
Well, average America has had it! You will probably see violence and marches on Washington soon as people lose their jobs and incomes, lose their ability to pay for things and can't get food or anything else.
Good luck politicians! Soon, like revolutionary France in the 1800s, rich areas will be sacked, looting and burning will result. It is very predictable behavior when something this big hits the fan.

Jewish Masters?

Why is it always "Jewish Masters"?

You're trying to say all of the rich bankers who run the country are Jewish?

And what if they are? So what? Doesn't the fact (?) that they are trying to "rule the world" have everything to do with the fact that they are rich and powerful, and really nothing to do with the fact that they are Jewish? Maybe there are a lot of Jewish people who get into banking, and some of the banking people want to rule the world. You cannot conclude then that all Jewish bankers want to rule the world. That is illogical. If you want me to prove it, I'll dig out the Introductory Logic book I used to teach my kids last year, and I'll diagram out the invalid syllogism.

I'm probably going to get busted for that internet law that says if you invoke the Nazis, you automatically lose the argument, but here goes anyway...

"Like, Mein Kampf and The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion are like so 1930's!"

No, America is still a great country because other people are paying my bills.

It is what you make of it, plain and simple.

Stop doing that you assclown. It's time to stand beside her, and guide her.

Yes.

What exists today in a place called "the USA" is not the same place where people willingly sacrificed their lives to protect.

America is a foul slum that should be erased from every map in the world , full of desperate, dishonest criminals ripping each other off.

What a piece of embarrasaing shit America has become.

Thanks Bush and Cheney.

MOSCOW, Russia - September 19, 2008 - The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) is reporting in the Kremlin today that the Bank of England has received from the United States Federal Reserve Bank a ‘notice’ that President Bush is preparing to declare an ‘Economic Emergency’ during the week of October 5th and will further announce that the American presidential election due to be held on November 4th will be indefinitely suspended.

These reports state that the Governor of the Bank of England, Mervyn King, had expressed his ‘shock and outrage’ to his American counterparts at the U.S. Federal Reserve after the catastrophic collapse of one of the largest financial banks in the World, Lehman Brothers, and which caused both the Bank of England and the European Central Bank to rush $42 billion into the European economy yesterday to keep it from collapsing, and their own banks from running out of money, necessitating the response from the U.S. Central Bank leader Ben S. Bernanke.

It's narrows down to this one: OUR COUNTRY BECOMING A DICTATORSHIP!!!

Debate on TARP is on now. Paulson looks smug, arrogant, like Caesar. Very sad...we are about to be given a dictator to lord over our financial destiny.

RE: Has your impression of the United States of America changed for the worse over the past 12 months?

My opinion of the United States America has indeed changed for the worse.

The fact is that the United States America is doomed to follow the course outlined around 200 years ago by one of our most influential Founding Fathers:

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." Thomas Jefferson, President of the United States 1801-1809

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies." Thomas Jefferson, 1816

The Bush Crime Syndicate and the corporate bankers are now invalidating the United States constitution and replacing it with a set of tyrannical laws designed to enslave us all.

There's no getting around it -- the United States of America is currently on life support and has only a short time to live.

Thomas Jefferson spoke the truth.

The truth hurts.

12 months ago I didn't think Americans were stupid enough to vote for a Muslim as president.

Now it appears they are.

What a waste of a country.

Nope.

It's hard to get too down when most of the negativity comes from people who don't have half their facts straight.

Besides, I am no longer a kid. Kids spend a lot of their time being angry about everything. I've been there. Now I know enough to not be surprised by anything that's currently happening. You go through the cycle a few times and realize everyone freaking out just hasn't been through it before.

Yes, sadly.

no; the founding fathers slaughtered the native americans to get what they wanted; it just took a while for the elite to need new bones to pick over.

No, given our depleted resources and idiots who continue (even now) to ignore the largest problem we've ever had (overpopulation), there aren't too many surprises left. Things are bad, will get worse, and will stay there for the rest of your lives. Welcome to the ecopocalypse. See more at:

No, my opinion has not changed. I'm still a very patriotic American.

This nation has been through many dark periods in the past and successfully recovered every time. This is just another one of those cycles.

In the end the idiots will be flushed out (including BOTH McCain and Obama, both insiders who 'kiss the ring') and another Reaganesque era of patriotism and prosperity will ring in.

This is basically part of the problem - anyone who trades, shorts, or otherwise gambles on Wall Street has contributed to this mess, you included.

Wall Street and the stock market, at the end of the day, are all about making money without putting in any real work or creating anything of value. And that, my friend, can never sustain. We're seeing the fallout from it now.

I'll go back to working and producing something of value in exchange for my income while the freeloaders and looters continue to try and make a quick buck gambling on paper.

Yes. It has gone right down the toilet along with my bank acct., and my future earning prospects.
I'll never see the day my opinion of the US goes up in equal proportion to how my credit card rates have these past few months.

You win you greedy bastards. I'm toast! Another middle-class tax payer falls off the cliff....

Yes, my impression of my country has changed.

I no longer trust ANYONE.

These goddamn Republicans (and a few democrats) have turned my country into a nation of Thieves and Liars.

This is a national disgrace.

Keith, I am proud to be an American. In what other country in the world can a young couple who is already in debt can buy a nice expensive townhouse in a "hot" Chicago neighborhood for only 3% down (and that was done "creatively" if you get my drift). Then, the price goes up before we even move in and then it kept going up and up. In the meantime, banks and other mortgage companies WERE BEGGING ME TO TAKE OUT A HELOC LOAN!

I could not resist and I took out $399,000 in HELOC loans. I bought expensive cashmere sweaters for my wife, we redid the bathroom and made it into a master bath with a nice jacuzzi, mirrors and nice beautiful French theme (I hate Socialists unless if it benefits me though then I am for it).

So Keith an HP'ers, I LOVE AMERICA. Now, the media is full of stories of "America's money crisis", "home owners in crisis", "financial crisis hits Main Street".

Listen up DOPES, I mean HP'ers, people who are in my circumstance will be bailed out. The Federal Government will end up lowering my mortgage to a "manageable level so homeowners can stay in their homes".

Look at how this massive 700 billion dollar bailout bill is slowly evolving. We are in an election year and no matter how you spin it Keith, we will be given a helping hand.

So, I LOVE THIS COUNTRY. America is a great country indeed. Ok, bye HP'ers, I have to go to my master French themed bathroom and have sex with my wife.

Oh come on, you need to trust your fellow American. Strap yourself up from your own boot straps and work hard and pay your bills on time.

Let's stop being so d@mn pessimistic and put things in perspective, especially considering how most people found this site.

The root of the problem is that people borrowed too much to find houses they couldn't afford. It is NOT Wall street. All Wall Street does is match providers of capital with demanders of credit. Too much capital went into housing at the top of the market. And the banks that have blown up were stuck with this debt on their balance sheet before they could find a buyer (the music stopped).

I work on a trading floor and can tell you that if the markets stay like this, you will not be able to get a loan for: a mortgage, college, small business, ANYTHING. I do not like what I see, but what's done is done and we are in crisis now, and pragmatism has to supercede philosophy of free markets. We are not the first country to go through a banking crisis. China, whose economy everyone is enamoured with, just had a massive socialization/recapitalization of the banking system 4 years ago.

Let's not forget that we have the world's most dynamic, innovative economy and it does nobody good to kick our beloved country while it's down. Our grandparents were diligent and thrifty during the depths of the Depression in the 1930's and lived to see a better day, and their real living standards were nowhere near ours. We will get through this, and the bottom will likely be when Tangelo is thrown in jail for life.

It'll be an even greater country when people are looting/burning your property. Have fun with that, Nick.
