Of all the stories I read yesterday the one that surprised me the most was John McCains choice as economic advisor. His top advisor is Carly Fiorina. You remember carly, the failed CEO who got the boot from HP after she engineered the disasterous merger between HP and Compaq. Her greed and mismanagement almost killed HP and now she's the financial advisor for the guy who claims he's going to clean up Wall street. Too funny

Yep, I'd worked with DEC (Compaq) and HP, as a value added partner, post-merger and got to see the discombobulation first hand. They had no idea how to leverage DEC's existing mature technology for new market segments and then they killed off HP's mainline products for another failed partnership with Intel. It was a real mess. I feel sorry for all those who'd given their careers for these two once great companies. I always tell younger kids, go for medicine or law and forget working in technology for corporate America.

C'mon guys, where's the reporting that Lehman and Merrill have contributed $3 million more to Obama than they have to McCain?

The inaccuracies here are beginning to rival MSNBC.

Why surprised?

It's only natural that they select their bed fellows.

This is getting more entertaining by the day.

Be sure to order plenty of hot buttered popcorn in advance - supplies will be running out.
