HousingPANIC Quote of the Day

"Wait a minute. What did you just say? You're predicting $4-a-gallon gas? ... That's interesting. I hadn't heard that."

- George W. Bush, February 2008

(p.s. he hadn't heard of Sunni or Shi'ite either until it was too late)

I just noticed the decline in traffic in Orlando, FL. Has anyone else?

Running errands I cut across 4 lanes of traffic without a problem. Usually this road backs up. This happenend numerous times.

Also, the local AM station was doing the traffic report every 6 minutes during rush hour, I heard twice that I-4 was clear without the usual back-ups at the usual places.

Went to pick up my son at camp, left at the usual time and I arrived 15 minutes early.

Kinda like Sunday driving.

Where is this quote:

“Democrats have a plan to lower gas prices…join Democrats who are working to lower gas prices now.”

-- Then Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Press Release, April 19, 2006

yeah, he's a retard. and it's fitting that he runs our country since we're a nation of retards that continue to elect retards from an entrenched two-party system that's corrupt to the core.

I've been keeping my foot off the gas pedal whenever possible. I try to coast to stops and leave more distance between myself and the next car so I don't have to scub my momentum as often. I make a game of it. I've been able to take my mileage from about 14.5mpg to over 18. I know, it's nothing to brag about, but when I bought my luxury suv, gas was $1.50 for premium... I wouldn't buy it again, but there is NOTHING more wasteful, polluting, or expensive than a new car. Buying a prius to save the world is a huge case of green-washing.

Political elections, like free markets, often fail to give the populace what they expect but, those exercises always deliver what the populace deserves.

traffic in LA on the Westside seems much better lately, esp on the weekends

He was just playing dumb ... that's what his supporters can understand.

I also noticed that there are a lot less cars on freeways around Seattle and a lot more people on the buses during rush hours.

Bush is a retard in denial. I actually heard that quote "live". I couldn't believe my sensory input when he said "I haven't heard it".

Yes, traffic is much better on the LA Freeways. But I thought it was the unemployment and the recession.

It certainly can't be people taking public transportation. It sucks, and the buses that run every hour to half hour are all already packed.

Besides, it appears that the way LA deals with it's homeless population is to give them all daily bus passes.

Traffic is definitely down. Over the July 4th Weekend Route 30 was an absolute Ghost town with no cars. Normally this route is jammed with traffic and is very hard to negotiate due to constant stopping for red lights as you enter each place along the "main line".
Everything was also closed, save for the usual fast food places and the business was light.
So something is happening that is for sure.

We can do without soda...we can't do without gas.

Do you drink 50 gallons of coke a month? I bet not. Most people can easily burn 50 gallons of gas.
