Back in February 2007 we asked "When will Fannie and Freddie implode"?

The answer is now known - July 11, 2008

http://housingpanic.blogspot.com/2007/02/housingpanic-stupid-question-of-day_22.html

And in September 2006, I wrote this:

HP prediction: Fannie Mae will be the housing bubble's Enron

http://housingpanic.blogspot.com/2006/09/hp-prediction-fannie-mae-will-be.html

And yet in the MSM today you'll hear "nobody saw this coming".

HP'ers, we saw it, it was obvious, and now it's here

Oh, the humanity.

The foresight in this blog is downright spooky.

So...when will Iran be turned into a radioactive sheet of glass?

Thanks Keith - you know this is my favorite video - kind of 1929 in spirit too!!

As for MSM - these two years have taught me that MSN is worthless. . .the statistics are out there most of the time - you just have to dig and find them, like our local bloggers are doing here in SD - Mr. Mortgage, Bubble Market, SD Foreclosure Statistics Blog, and Jim the Realtor - all, along with HP should get the Blooger Academy Award (tm)!

HP for Prez...

Could you imagine having someone or thing in office with even alittle foresight?

The Hindenburg has been circling for a long time due to High winds from Ben Bernake. The attempt to keep prices high in the housing industry has failed. It has been at the expense of everyone else with his lowering of interest rates.
Now there is going to be one hell of an explosion, bigger and more dramatic then if he had left everything alone in the first place.

Was that the "American Dream®"?

I love that video. I can't wait to see more modern day versions. It is kinda like watching the 911 implosions.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Kinda like this classic:

...and yet another wave of clueless Americans finally get it.

What's Barney Frank's take on this?

Great video for the times. Can we get the same narrator to give updates on Freddie & Fannie's stock price? We are almost down 50% today, no?

"The foresight in this blog is downright spooky."

Uh-huh. Like the election of President Ron Paul, the Bush veto of the bailout bill, the invasion of Iran, gold to $5000, and AAPL to the moon.

Shall I go on?

Well look on the bright side: two-thirds of the passengers and crew on board the Hindenburg survived that disaster.
