(and for those of you keeping score at home, add in inflation and that 33% turns into 50% pretty quick)

I Love It. DIE U PIGS

I've been saying this all along- prices will drop back to at least 1996 prices, and I wont be surprised if it's 1980 prices.
Remember what happened to silver and gold in Jan and March of 1980? Those prices crashed back down to earth, taking nearly 28 years for gold prices to reach the 1980 high.
This is what I predict will happen to housing.
Guess all those "rich Brits" aren't going to be buying condos in FL, CA, AZ, NV to bailout the markets there - nor the "former rich Japanese" (market there worst in 54 years). . .can we say, "worldwide depression" boys and girls??
Brits are superior in all things, just ask them...I love them anyway.
Only 33% ?
I'm sure it will be much more ... that entire area was so over speculated beyond the price/earnings ratio of most people, that it's going to take a long, long time before prices are back in line with salaries as they should be.
the great depression of 1929 started when two super powers exhausted their money. The first time was Germany and England and now the second time will be England (they have trouble learning from the first time) and the US (they have a problem with learning from the Russians and the Germans) and "pitch" in a few more. Any questions?
The food lines are starting, welfare is increasing (which Clinton signed in as welfare reform now you can't get it)homelessness and joblessness are the topic of the day. Anyone wonder when Oklahoma will become a big dust bowl? Everything bad sure happened under Bush (a republican), are you sure he hasn't been sent by Satan. Good Luck we're gonna need it.
Those dudes are so behind the curve, it isn't even funny.
"Official" predictions are ALWAYS conservative.
If the official line is 1/3, then 1/2 is "in the bag".
