A time capsule of the greatest financial mania in the history of mankind, told in real-time by regular folks and patriots. May future generations better understand the madness of crowds, and how power and money corrupt.

wow, that is crazy. What would a house bought for $0 do to the comps? Nothing good, I'm sure.
Ha, what a rip off!!
Pay the price of 3 crap boxes and get 2..
Lower the damn price, some inventory must go at a loss and things will begin to move again.
i can see it now.... buy one hummer get the second one free!
Where do the homeowners in the "free" neighborhood go for bankruptcy counseling?
"Any Questions?

Yeah, could you please re-run the 'Buy a house, get a free pizza' thread from 2006?
Swann has called the bottom for the Phoenix market.
Who knew there was even a problem there?
Buy the first one for $???, and let it go into foreclosure... live in the second one for free!!!
Is the free home one of Greg swann's?
ooo ooo, I have a question professor Keith: did the builder pull a fast one and raise the price by $400k to account for the free $400k house? I know the LA Times blog says that they didn't, but I trust lawyers more than I do realtwhores and shack builders.
My starting offer would be buy one get three free...
yeah Swann has sure changed his tune from 2006

Guess he realises the error of his ways now - sounds like a bear
That kind of makes sense: With the gas at $5/gal for your 6 cars, diesel at $6/gal
for your RV and both heading higher, the drinking water in SoCal running out never
mind filling your pool and jacuzzi, you can at least get drunk from your wine rack...
Provided you still have any change left for a bottle of wine after paying your $12,000/mo
mortgage for the next 30 years...
Can it get any more absurd than that ? Oh, wait, you aint seen nothin yet...
I remember that 'buy a house and get a free pizza' thread! Keith, you've gotta dig it up and link to it. I feel sure that someone made a comment about getting a free house instead of a pizza.
Ponzi lives...
That is one desperate builder.
So far we have not seen one step to this level ;(
As a small builder I worry of being trapped in the stigma created by the mega companies.
I think it best to clean'em out and start fresh with some real and honest people in this business.
The next couple of years should take care of that :)
"We thought, 'Why does it just have to be on Pop Tarts and restaurants? Why not buy one home, get one free,'" Dawn Berry of Michael Crews Development told 10 News in San Diego.
Must resist falling into... argument with retard... brain hurts. Going to sleep now...
The radio station in L.A. reported the price for the house was $1.6 million.
Almost as good as buy 4 tires and get the 5th one free.
