Special HousingPANIC open thread to laugh at the communist pigs running China, as San Fran prepares to shut down their propaganda Olympic torch run

I hope the people of California do something historic as China's disastrous Olympic Torch Thug Tour invades the western United States. The Thugs in Blue should not be allowed in, or out of, San Fran tomorrow. There should be rage in the streets.

I have nothing against the Chinese people, except their wimpishness for not rising up and jailing their leaders sooner. This rant and my rage is targeted at the evil and corrupt communists running the joint.

So to get Wednesday's San Fran party started, and to rub salt in their wounds, let's recap how f*cked China's government is today:

1) You traded your crap for trillions of US dollars that are getting more and more worthless every day

2) You're evil "let's kill all the girl babies" policy has put in place an epic demographic timebomb that no matter what happens in the world over the next 50 years, you're f*cked

3) Your Propaganda Olympics has blown up in your face something fierce, as you are mocked and repulsed around the world, and your Olympic dream has been destroyed.

4) The "China" brand has been permanently destroyed. Might as well rename the country at this point. "Made in China" now means "Made by Evil Communists"

5) Your US distribution channel (known as "Wal-Mart" to the masses) has also had its brand soiled. And its most loyal US customer base, the illegal and now jobless invaders from Mexico, are heading home in droves, leaving just the dwindling dregs of unpatriotic and self-centered to buy your not-so-cheap-anymore crap

6) Your investment in Blackstone blew up in your face. Welcome to capitalism comrades.

7) The Rice Riots of 2009 are just around the corner

8) In the next few years most of you will be killed or jailed by your fellow citizens, and your ill-gotten gains seized

9) Americans will finally come to realize that you caused the Great Housing Bubble and Crash by manipulating your currency and artificially keeping long term US interest rates low by buying up US t-bills. And they'll be pissed

10) Your out of control pollution and contribution to global warming will end up killing you in the end no matter what else happens

Enjoy tomorrow you corrupt communist pigs!

One thing to consider everyone is if the Olympics were held in the US this year, and the torch run was going on around the world, our corrupt and murderous regime would also be the subject of intense rage

The world deserves better leaders. The people of China don't have a choice. We do. And I hope the people of both countries rise up and overthrow their leaders this year.

On a relate note, two more playahs from NY who blew their money away on Made in China crap just to be Wal-Mart slaves for life:

PALM BEACH POST — A 70-year-old man attacked an 81-year-old man with a pricing gun inside the Belvedere Road Wal-Mart Sunday, according to an arrest report.

Dennis O'Brien and John Esposito began arguing and O'Brien swung at Esposito with the tool in his right hand, the report says. Esposito suffered a swollen left eye and cuts on his nose and mouth.

Esposito said both he and O'Brien worked at Wal-Mart. He would not discuss the nature of their argument.

O'Brien told a sheriff's deputy he acted in self-defense, but security tape showed O'Brien raising his hand first, striking Esposito in the face and then pushing him to the ground, according to the report.

Officials booked O'Brien into the Palm Beach County Jail on aggravated battery charges.

Have we, the American People, risen up to stop the crimes against humanity perpetrated by our own leaders? Here we just stand no chance against apathy and big money. There the people stand the very real risk of being shot or run over by a tank. Here we won't stop shopping at Wal Mart even though everything is made in China and the Walton family is the biggest enemy of the middle class since the robber barrons of the Gilded Age.

I don't like what the Chinese are doing to the Tibetans any more than you do Keith. I also don't like that they have kept their currency undervalued in order to build themselves up at our expense,

BUT

The Chinese are now responsible for the housing bubble???? We love debt here in the USA. We LOVE debt. They have given us the debt and the consumer junk that we lusted for. We have known that the Chinese were manipulating their currency for years. America CHOSE to buy into the Chinese cheap crap trap. We still are. Walmart is doing great.

So now that we are broke, we are going to blame them for the housing bubble????

Is sort of like I beat my kids because they won't eat their dinner, but I gave them all ice cream first because they were screaming for it. So, whose fault is it they won't eat?

Ha, talk about whimps, about 1000 Arab sheiks own all the oil, land, woman, golden palaces, and super sized yachts.
And the rest of the Arab population don’t even have the right to plant a grain of rice.
They are however programmed to kill themselves and as many ‘infidels’ as they can.

I herby declare all Arabs the biggest whims of all mankind, until they have the courage to rise up and hang their rulers.

So once again Keefer, the Chinese leaders are not perfect, but they also do not spend their fortunes funding mass homicidal maniacs.

On the contrary people in China have benefited tremendously by their leaders decisions thus far.

Direct your rants and rage at higher priority.

Too many people seem to be missing the point here.

Is all this vitriol being spewed at China REALLY just about their treatment of Tibet?

None of this has to do with the economic malaise currently being felt in both the US and Europe, right? And of course it has nothing to do with China’s pollution of its environment. Nor with China’s vorcifirous consumption of oil, which has helped to drive up prices in the US and Europe, right?

After centuries of self-imposed isolation from the rest of the world, China suddenly woke up and became a world power to be reckoned with. And after sending millions of jobs to China, the West both resents and fears China’s growing might.

The Olympics is China’s ‘coming out’ party - much like a society debutante – and she is now being snubbed by the West, much to China’s chagrin. Can anybody see how important hosting the Olympics is to China? It is like finally being accepted as a player on the world’s stage. It is an honor.

The Olympics is still an ideal to many people – and not just the atheletes who participate – who put this sports competition above international politics.

President Jimmy Carter was an idiot for putting politics above the Olympic Games, and so will be those who choose to boycott them this year.

And re: the events in Tibet, can’t anyone else see this for what it REALLY was? It was a warning – a shot across the bow, if you will – to Taiwan.

Yes the Chinese govt. sucks. But given our current government, who are we to criticize them?

Hopefully the Chinese people will one day rise up and fix things over there.

Just like we should here in the US.

That's pretty good for both Chinese government and people, we now know what we are facing when 1.3 billion people want to be better off by hard working, we don't have any naive illusion about the kindness of western people any more.

actually, the chinese propensity to favor boys is a cultural phenomenon not limited to communist china (south korea has the same habit and resulting imbalance in sex ratio). the chinese did exacerbate it, though, by instituting the one-child policy, whcih put more pressure on its people to get the 'right' sex the first time around. the one-child policy, in turn, was seen necessary because of Mao's "the more the better" population policy of the 50's-60's. and so around and around it goes.

Geez, Keith, you really are delusional. You tout Peter Schiff as a profit, maybe you should actually listen to him.

The United States has borrowed billions of dollars to borrow cheap Chinese goods. China has used that money to modernize their factories and build a real manufacturing base.

Some day, Americans won't be able to buy Chinese goods. It'll happen because of the US recession (deflation) or because the Chinese revalue their currency, but the "why" doesn't matter. What matters is, when that happens, Chinese consumers, now rich from a revalued currency and a burgeoning middle class, will start buying their own goods domestically. Their factories, which now churn out cheap crap for Americans, are modernized and will build products that they can consume.

We're toast. They won. To pretend otherwise is folly.

You should really go to China and see these things first hand. I do business there, I'd be happy to give you a tour, let me know.

China, these "commies" as you call them, actually have less regulation and tax than we do.

First of all, Olympics and Politics should not mix. It doesn't matter where the Olympics is held. We should always support the Olympics.

Us North Americans consume too much shit! If we stop buying and start saving more, China would not be exporting some much to us.

Keith,

If the Chinese Yen were free floating, would you prefer holding Chinese Yen instead of the US Dollar for your own asset allocation? If not, why would you think other people would? The purchasing power disparity argument makes no sense at all: a jar of peanut butter cost three times as much in NYC as in southern Georgia, and the two locations have the exact same currency! The difference indicates the cost of doing business in NYC as a commercial hub. The currency peg is simply a manifestation of other countries of the world submitting to dollar hegemony in order to join the worldwide trade system. What they really want is not dollar, but oil, food, and all other basic material that are routinely priced in dollar. If a Chinese business can profitably make a widget for the cost of one gallon of gas or 5 pounds of wheat flour, including shipping to the US, whereas the same widget made in the US would cost 2 gallons of gas or 10 pounds of flour (about $6 today), it would make absolutely no difference what the Dollar-RMBYen exchange rate is.

Chinese and Indian companies have a competitive advantage largely because they have workforces that have recently experienced the miseries of socialism. The productive elements in their societies understand that only hard work can bring about prosperity . . . sitting around and whining about having government stepping in to protect everyone would only bring about misery. Bashing China on account of their "communist" government is quite disingeous; a large part of the Chinese success story is due to relatively lack of socialist government intervention in the economy (not for lack of trying on the part of the government but simply due to economic growth outpacing government growth). India is experiencing the same phenomenom: they are "stealing" both manufacturing jobs and IT jobs from the US . . . and India is the largest and oldest surviving democracy in the world. If anything, China today is far less "communistic" than it ever was; it's ironic that wannabe collectivists in this country want to pick the "communist" bone with China now instead of when it was actually socialistic/communistic back in the mid-1970's.

While I support Tibetan Independence, the race riots that some Tibetans started in the last few weeks is hardly a productive path to go about achieving it. The neighboring countries, like India and Nepal, all have recognized as much. Even His Holiness Dalai Lama has vehemently disowned the rioters.

Skaven,

You are right. The point is, the leaders in America have sold us down the river. America has given China the income it needed to modernize. It now has the industrial base to militarize and win any war against the United States.

The U.S. is a shell of its former self. It is the Britain and France, circa 1938. Our leadership is run by arrogant fools.

When our economy stumbles, we are foolish enough to think we should not cut spending. We defecit spend at the Federal level, at the state level, at the county level, and at the city level.

America deserves what is coming to it. I do, however, believe that after we get what we deserve we will WAKE UP finally. NAFTA, CAFTA, NAU, WTO, and anything else that harms Americans will be done away with. America will return to the Industrial giant it once was and China will not surpass America as the world's only Superpower.

If I am wrong, then America will succomb to second world status, along with Europe. China will become the worlds only Superpower and communism will begin to spread once again. Well, communism Chinese style will begin to spread. ;)

Olympics were always political, sometimes less, sometimes more. Go, educate yourself. If it doesn't matter where they are held, isn't it a bit surprizing how eager many countries are to get them? And why should we always support the Olympics? Professional sports often have no benefit in commercial, medical, and political terms.

You seem to suck too much Chinese government propaganda into you. The demonstrations are a sign of the dissatisfaction of the Tibetan people, and most of the violence a consequence of the Chinese police's stand on free expression: it's only good if you agree with us. Reading that, is it any wonder that our country is the laughing stock of the world. As far as Wal-Mart, I would rather go without than have to shop at that miserable, good for nothing immoral junk box. Every item that I have seen in that place is garbage. Cheap plastic junk, built by slave labor to line the pockets of brutal regimes (China and Wal Mart upper management) that noone needs anyway. We deserve much better, and I would love to see Wal-Mart get broken up or bankrupt. Unfortunately their stock seems to be doing better. What a shame.

I hope that having the Worlds eyes on the Olympic games brings reporters that expose the dark side of China, and not just the rosy picture that they want the World to see. Nothing would be better to watch on TV than some good reporting on human rights abuses, sweat shops, police brutality etc. on the world stage for all to judge. Alas I am afraid I am asking too much of the MSM, but hopefully the independent news services and internet bloggers will dig deep and find some really embarassing and thought provoking stories and make the Chinese government and Wal-Mart have to answer for their crimes. Then they can take their place in history with Ken Lay, Jeffrey Skilling, Angelo Mozillo, Stalin, Hitler and all the other people who I am sure have a special place in hell.
